Slower T1, lost a couple of tenths at the hairpin, but a nice run through the bike chicane shaved a bit off T2 and final 👍

I reclaimed those tenths I left at the hairpin :)

Looks like i shouldn't have bothered submitting a rushed lap as the tune seems to be very important here. Obviously mine is not working and i would have loved to try paulies and Animeras tune, but too late.Time submitted.

Still a couple of tenths in T1, happy with my T2 though, even if my chicane is like Animera's only more slidey! Seen a few .9s in T1. Just a case of being smooth, really.

Nice times Sureshot:tup:

New splits, using a mish-mash of Paulies and Animeras tune this time,

52.108
1'38.674

Not much better splits than before but final time shaved of about two tenths.

Had a 2 hour session last night but spent most of the time on my setup so there is still a fair bit of time to knock off once I've setup a tune that siuts my driving style.

51.987
1'38.265

I'll try and have another session tonight. 👍

T1 53.259
T2 1'41.037

Really needed these new splits, reviewing my previous lap it had two spots were I wasn't sure if it was legal or not and seeing as I have the PSN version not sure if it'll be able to be verified.

The two spots were.
1. Both right side wheels were on the rumble strips on left side of road (Between turns 8 & 9)
2. Entry into the motorcycle chicane.

Because i´m ill i didn´t gone today to the German Academy Final. So i did some more laps here.

Nothing more to say..........

Thanks to Paulie's tune, it has shaved a second off my final time. Tenths left everywhere, especially in T2 on this lap. My final chicance horrid aswell, I was being way too cautious (as usual).

I take that to mean the entry to Degner 1. We've had some close calls there, but no DQ's. I think the penalty system is fairly effective there, but never rely on that alone.

2 on rumble is legal, 3 on sand, grass and/or green concrete is not.

What is your issue in the motorcyle chicane?

Yes, I meant Degner..the issue with the motorcycle chicane was that it looked really like not enough wheels on the track.

It's all negated now though as I've improved quite a bit and the lap is all clearly clean. Trying to keep all my laps clean as it seems I'm the only one competing with the PSN version and don't want to be doubting myself if the lap was clean or not.

Because only someone from out of this world could do it. That T2 from Rudi is stunning.

Identical time to earlier splits, but the other lap, upon looking at replay, is just too dodgy in the chicane.

I'm about done with this I think, I have seen loads of .9s in T1, no idea where I'm losing a few tenths there. Smoothness probably. Might try some more laps, most likely submitting with above. Great combo and Kudos for the idea of the chicane, we should do it again at some point in the future.

Don´t call me Alien. :sly: I´m only Div 1 silver. There is a Div 1 gold and then will come Div 1 Alien.

How on earth do you guys find the time to race so much. As far as I know there are only 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week  This is also a hint for the moderators, maybe you can organize a MRS. If they were a bit easier and I don’t have to put in so much hours of practice, I would participate more. A less talented driver is speaking here, with less spare time on his hands  I participated in week 63 (350Z DR) and week 64 (SL 55 AMG HSR) Both where pretty easy for somebody with my skills. I spend about 2,5 hours on week 63 an about 1.5 on week 64. Not really enough time to get my perfect lap but enough to be pretty satisfied with my lap times. Week 65 for example (Lotus 111R Tuned Eiger reverse) was really way too hard for me, to accomplish a decent lap in a week time, with only about 2 hours spare time to put in. Week 66 (Evo IX Tunes Suzuka with motorcycle chicane) is more difficult than I thought, so have to let that on go bye as well. Just because I can’t find the time, that’s needed to participate.

Good luck everybody and enjoy

Tried Paulies and Animeras tunes to no avail. Submitted with current splits as I'm out of time this week. Thanks all. :)

I too tried both tunes this week, and it lead to some interesting results:

I was amazed by the differences first of all. Its obvious both tunes require different driving styles. For me, the speed I could carry through the very first corner with Animeras tune was astonishing. I knocked a second off of my final lap time right off the bat. However, I couldnt get much more out of it. I found myself losing traction under heavy braking and over the rumble strips. My driving style is quite aggressive and I was getting some horrible all wheel drift through the T1 esses. Losing a lot of time skipping over the motorcycle chicane too. From there on I absolutely loved it though, sweeping through 200R and nailing spoon was a dream. Not to mention the almost flat out 130R!

Paulies tune was next and I initially thought I wouldnt like it. At first I couldnt carry nearly as much speed through curve 1, but the stability under heavy directional change in the esses was wow! Like I say my style is quite aggressive and you really can throw this car around. I could attack the corners like a man possesed, the rumble strips hardly even register! Really like the gear ratios too. Oh, and Paulies tune is responsible for my fastest lap so far. 👍

Really big thankyou to both you guys though, because the experience I'll be taking from this week has been priceless. I still know nothing about tuning, but I could feel the difference in each car, and slowly slowly I've tried to adapt my driving style to them. It lead to me having a revelation on track, and every lap I do sees me dropping tenths like flies. My driving style has been completely re-vamped and, it is SO for the better.
I'm going to have a break now and come back with my 'new style' to BOTH tunes tomorrow for a final push. Maybe this time I'll like Animeras better, I really cant say. What I do know for sure is it'll be a whole lot of fun, so thanks again guys. Really!! :)

New splits:

(They seem rubbish now after all that hype! 4 seconds off my final lap time though  cant be bad!)

Officially the most frustrating week ever :banghead:, I just spent 5-6hrs doing this and could not improve my lap. My T3 was perfect, Spoon, perfect, hairpin perfect, the bike chicane seems perfect, except for the fact I beat my ghost there by around 2 tenths  one lap then binned it at Spoon  and was not able to match it again all day.:irked: It's most frustrating because early in the day I was getting over a tenth faster than my T1 over and over and over again but only to have my ghost fly past me despite rather excellent driving for the remainder of the lap. To put in my absolute best of every corner would probably end up being a 1'37.1 at T2, so when there is SO much time on the table that can't be obtained in a 6hr stint (and could also have meant an overall victory), that earns this week the title of most frustrating ever.:banghead:
Submitting with the splits on the board.:grumpy:

Edit: Oh, and on the exit of Degner I had about 1cm of tyre on the rumble strip, it will give the judges a headache, another reason why I wanted improvement so badly.

First splits using Paulie's tune,
First run this week hopefully i can improve a little tomorrow

T1: 52.707
T2: 1'39.810

Did a dozen or so laps this morning on Animera's tune.... fantastic setup there mate. If only I had the balls to extract the most from it! 👍

Got myself at Wheelstand Pro this Friday. Still going slow, but it's a lot more fun and a lot easier to race. Great invention. 👍
