First splits at this weeks.
I kinda like the car I'm not sure though.

1'02.322
1'56.492

Talk about scary close - here are my splits from last night:

1'02.392
1'56.493

Hard to believe I was doing my entire lap last week at London faster than my T1 split this week. :)

just to clarify 1 GTP race rule, as long as 2 wheels are in contact with the ripple strip the lap is clean??

:scared: What have you done to my car Kev?!?!?! You'd think I'd be able to drive this thing but those S1's make a hell of a difference, I never realised it could understeer that much!

I got some new splits.

T1: 1:02.885
T2: 1:56.166

Still need to iron out some areas where I am losing time.

oh my 🤬 🤬 I just tore up the Suzuka circuit using a stick for the 1st time. Here are my new splits

1'03.010
1'56.010

Slightly slower splits with a slight .010 improvement

Dang dude!!! Thanks for giving me something to aim for. Now, I know the car can do it.👍

I made a grave error in judgement the last 2 weeks where I was focusing on the splits and not the final time. Not this one, My lap time is the target I was aiming for.

New splits after reinventing the wheel.
What I mean is to keep this car going fast you have to keep above 6,000 rpm and to do that I tried some new ways around Suzuka.
But these splits were gained by keeping her above 6,000 rpm on turn 1.

1'03.653
1'57.507

Interesting...I'm too drunk now but tomorrow after work I think i'll try the stick. I've used auto on this track as it's very technical and using the H-shifter (G27) puts me off.

I don't mind using auto for now. But when GT5 comes it'll be flappity paddle city!!

More splits!! Improving a little at a time.

T1: 1:03.050
T2: 1:56.056

Now, I think it is down to finding literally thousandths of seconds of improvement. :irked:

Updates for this evening:

1'02.071
1'56.154

This Tuned/Cap is really odd - seems so very difficult to actually break the rear end free but at the same time it seems really difficult to actually get the rear end to be 100% stuck for solid power.

Very interesting how differently each car performs in each sector - the question seems to be which car is going to perform the best in the final sector.

Funny how I was wondering the same! I think the Cappicino can carry more speed through the kink, but it will be close for all divisions I think.

PS: I just ran a 1:02.758 in T1! But I messed up Spoon Corner, so now I have to try and replicate it! :grrr:

My first go at the WRS
1'02.722 1'02.461 1'02.185
1'56.713 1'56.328 1'56.075
Another quick session saw slight improvements.
Edit: Last session improved again. That's it for me,time submitted.

Understeer? I'm having 'trouble' with the oversteer :D

Got a 1.04.0xx T1 and 2'00.1xx T2 yesterday, but still nowhere near the rest of the pack

What are your splits?

New splits from the 'slow' division this week:

1'03.235
1'56.870

Yeah mate,it wouldn't surprise me if div1 will be all the way at the bottom at the time this weeks combo finishes...:dopey:

We are very close, will have a go today if time allowes me to,and see if i can improve a little:tup:👍

The way EDK and the boys set this weeks race up , I believe very little will seperate 1st from last. Each car has their advantages/disadvantages, but the splits are so close, that its going to come down to the driver who can get their car from split 2 to the finish the quickest.

 the transition between the two can be alarming at times!! I haven't posted my splits yet as they are so far off the pace, I think I had a high 1'03 and a low 1'58. If you post yours, I'll do mine when I get home from work and we can be at the bottom together

Ran a half hour (about my limit for 1 sitting). Small but useful improvement to overall lap. Nice clean lap with no real errors.

1'02.201
1'55.897

edit: *checks leaderboard* Mignun ... your move. :P

For the record, the D3 car was the toughest to dial in for this combo, I think partly due to the relatively wide range of abilities throughout the division.

That said, we started with S2's on both ends (Too fast). Moved to S1's on both ends (Too Slow). And ended up here. (Just Right :sly:).

I did drive the car myself before posting the race, to make sure it was manageable. I even tried it with S1's on the back, S2's on the front, just to understand the difference. Trust me, you're happier this way. ;)

The only advice I can offer from my limited testing is to be smooth and keep the wheels as straight as possible under braking, and when mashing on the exit. But especially under braking.

I can only imagine how difficult it is handicapping cars like this. Actually, as well as being my favourite car (for obvious reasons), I find this combo extremely rewarding when I put in a smooth clean lap and have had a lot of fun so far on it 👍

very nice clacksman 👍, but without saying and giving away to much, I hope that you didn't lose to much speed heading for the finish line :sly:

Guess I'd better post some splits then

T1 - 1'03.600
T2 - 1'57.314

Awesome finally get around to turning in a few laps get a decent grip on car+track.

My freakin' start button is broken, which means I can't exit the session to save a replay. Great. I have to use the DS3 to stop racing by exiting the whole game.
:ouch: I like how GT5P shows the start button linked to the Pause function but you still can't change it. :grumpy:

At least in Forza I can run private races that end after a set number of laps to get around not being able to pause the game.
