Tried to have a go again, but I have come across one of the shortcomings of having a sim in a solarium:

I love sunny winter days as they remove some of the bitterness from the cold, but you can't see 🤬 at Monaco

Yeah, yeah, I know; first world problems :)

Great car, epic track, reliving history, I think the best combo yet. đź‘Ť
Sadly for me I leave tomorrow for a week long trip and won't have time to give this a proper go. :ouch:
I hope y'all have fun this week, I'll see y'all next time. :gtpflag:

Nice Beatles rock band guitar! :P

I just threw away a 1'10.9. Had to turn it off before I smashed things with hammers. I have better splits anyway though

Rubbish sector two around the hairpin and into the tunnel, there's about a million light years in sector two to find. I changed to matte yellow though, which helped as I pretended that yellow was named after me, which made me better.

I give up. I have driven non-stop for 8 hours. Out of hundreds of laps and restarts I have 2 (two) laps I consider clean. Thats not enough to keep me running this TT.

My gut told me to let it be this week, I should have listened.

Would a Mod please remove me from the leaderboard? @Gravitron, @Vagabond, @EDK

Another session and some better splits:

27.065
1'12.581

But I really cut it fine on the wall of the first corner:

There's no evidence to suggest I've hit the wall while in the car and this is as close as I appear to get with photos so I feel confident it's clean but still :scared: I intend to hunt for the 0.5 I still think I have in me anyway but I've submitted this lap as a starting point.

@Nemo Niente: The key to this (and every TT in my opinion) is to know how you need to attack every corner on the track. Start by getting some conservative markers for braking and accelerating. Once you have them all memorised you can slowly adjust a corner or two per lap to see if there is anything more you can get out of it. Even if you ruin a lap, don't restart, complete the lap and try new things on the remaining corners or just practice them. The problem with 8 hours straight (apart from the obvious #getsomefreshair ;)) is that you're almost guaranteed to have ingrained poor habits. Jump on YouTube and watch some fast laps of Monaco in similar cars and get an idea for where you're different and then I suggest only doing 30m or 1hr sessions, any more than that and it's easy to start going backwards (maybe even literally :sly:)

I find that mistakes creep in and it becomes quick sand for me, each lap getting worse. I need to get away after an hour. Doesn't help I have A.D.D.

This is going to be a great combo. I'm running it in the cockpit view and it's like a giant gokart. The track never looked wider and figuring out this challenge is going to be the best. After a few barley pops I'll be on fire :P

Here's my exceedingly mediocre splits. This is a great car to help me improve on this track.

27.061
1:11.900

I found .4 in T3, but it was one of those miraculous sectors where out of nowhere it clicked. How come it can't click in T2 too?

Found my missing 0.5 and a little bit more:

27.116
1'12.300

And this one is as clean as a whistle đź‘Ť

I have to say, this combination is far and away the most fun I've had in GT6. Sector 3 in particular with this car is an absolute blast...kudos @EDK and the whole admin team

Looking for about .250 on the total lap unless I can figure out a faster way through some of these corners.

27.167
1'11.867

First 30 minutes of being part of the wrs family on gt6, will get some time to put some better splits in tomorrow! đź‘Ť

26.933
1'12.800

Just realized I screwed up in the second sector :ouch:

And another 30 minutes put into it. Just a touch slower in T1 but a little improvement in the last 2 sectors

Can't wait to get going on this tomorrow

26.934
1'12.500

Lots of time to make up in sector 2.
