Just did my first session. I am having problems with keeping of the walls, as I can't see the with of this car when using bonnet view. I eventually managed to get some nice laps. The car was much easier to handle than I expected, it has a tendency to understeer but mostly it is easy to drive and I learned it quickly.

Having said that, I have no idea how almost half of the field manages to get 2s ahead on the second split. Of course there is a little time to gain here and there, but some have done it almost 4s quicker, which is absolutely amazing.
The Aliens abducted them, and replaced them with Replicants :D

Ok, so I got my qualifier result (Div 3 Gold). I can't put together decent lap. This track has four challenging parts for me. I can only do one or two reasonably well on the same lap.

Still at 1'13.8 T2.

I saw a 1'12.0xx but T3 did me in........

New splits and obviously more out there for me to go after.

....guess this is an event where using the auto transmission is a major penalty
I have only just begun to drive manually.. and still forget to change gear.. or change down.. when I really want to change up..:D.. all confusing to my poor old brain cells.. don't think you need TCS on in this little rocket.. on soft sports.. should be more than enough grip.. to eliminate any wheel spin..

Ok guys, our Captain @nursemorph and @Andy 0 , I have the same problem (?) you mentioned - I use AT 70% of the time, mainly because of the fun. This was a game to me until I joined GTP WRS - now I need more  , like you do (youre already fast) and it's time to bother with the stick and start kicking some *sses 👍
The other problem I have is that if I use my birth year in my name it would become Serialf56, right @Andy 0 ?

For the time being, and because of above my splits are:

Decided to go back to this because I knew I could do better.

Watched doodle's lap on YouTube with this car and saw that the lines were pretty similar to mine, but I just couldn't see where I was losing time.

After spending the past hour on so it, I realised that a lot of it is about the exit out of the corners - I wasn't getting on the throttle quickly enough for most of them.

So I managed to hit 1'12's a few times, then just now I got a fantastic sector 1 followed by a rather scruffy sector 2 but found a huge amount at the line.

I could see a 1'11 if I persevere and get my best T1 and T2 together. It's just really tough. Best I can manage out of this combo is another .5 maybe a tiny bit more.

I'm using 5/8. Baron mentioned it earlier in the thread. I haven't bothered testing anything else, but this seems to be working for me.

I started with 5/5 and found a bit of time with 4/6. It's great in the low speed stuff, but I don't find it helps in the higher speed corners, especially Tabac.

The chicane after the tunnel is killing me. If I remember correctly, the last time we ran this track we could dip a tire or 2 inside the chicanes. I have to figure out how to keep it clean thru there without losing too much momentum

I find the braking point to be critical there. If I brake a bit too late I can't get through it cleanly, if I brake too early my turn-in is often too soon and I mess up that way.

I tried all sorts of different brake settings (4/6, 4/8, 6/10), typically with a rear bias to help with turning the car for Turn 1 as well as the hairpin. Tried 6/4 and almost immediately set my best lap. Seemed to make the car more stable for the Nouvelle chicane at bottom of the tunnel. Rotated well enough everywhere else. So I don't know what to do now.

Ran 20 laps last night with brake bias changed to 7/3 (may try later with a rear bias to see what difference it makes). Managed to improve my S2 split by 4 tenths a few laps in and then, on Lap 17, managed to improve it by another 2 tenths, so a .6 improvement overall which I am very happy with. Did manage to improve my S1 time by .038 but can't get much lower than that. Set 2 faster laps (by .1 and .2 respectively) but the faster one I touched the wall slightly on the entry to casino square:

S1: 27.686
S2: 1.13.069

Very enlightening session tonight , complete opposite of last night. Changed my oil to get back to 174HP, and changed BB from 5/4 to 3/10 (thanks @doodlemonoply).

Had 3 laps that were 0.3+ better than previous, but all slightly dirty, so had to settle for one that was similar to my previous T2, but 0.25 better at the line. PB T3.👍

Best sectors say there's at least 0.4 more.

Tearin it up Lucas!
Thanks Brandon, but still quite a slog until I have something I'll want to submit. :) Not too happy with my past few submissions, but this one's got me hook, line and (hopefully not) sinker. :irked:

BTW, Fetchy isn't updating at the moment, and Joost has been notified and will look when he can.

i entered the week 7 WRS and i've send a "compressed-replay+time" yesterday, but why im still not on the leaderboards?:confused::confused:
