@Andy 0 : I decided to experiment with a b/b of 7/7 (remembered seeing someone else using it) despite my issues with it squirming all over the place on braking and.....it is actually really stable!! Was quite surprised....managed to set a new PB S1 and S2 split (only to mess up the lap!) and improved my overall lap by 2 tenths, which would have been 4 tenths but for messing up the final turn. So, I am going to stick with 7/7 for now and see what happens...may even try it with TCS 0 as I have been using 1. I tried TCS 0 in an earlier session and it wasn't hugely more uncontrolled but just enough to make me lose some confidence in acceleration.

I still can't get this right.

It looks like i'm driving to clean and not on the edge.

If I see the other division2 driver I should be faster then this.

Did some more laps and improved my time with better 2nd and 3rd sectors, even though I lost time in a little drift in the 1st sector. After a really great lap which turned out to be dirty when I went outside the line at the Mercedes grandstand, I managed a lap with super smooth 1st and 2nd sectors, giving me 0.36s at the second split. I may have gotten a little nervous since I stayed too long on the brakes before turning into the chicane, and lost a lot of time. Still got a new personal best lap, but not by the margin that my splits indicate.

If I could chain together the 1st and 2nd sector of that lap with the last sector from the previous best lap, I would have a quite competitive time to be very satisfied with.

Aaand I nailed it. At first I did a not-so-perfect 1st and 2nd sector followed by a good last sector to take exactly a tenth at the line. I wasn't satisified since I knew I could do the 1st sector better, if I only managed to match my ghost out of turn 1.

And so after a couple of laps practice with a slightly revised line, I did a good first sector (though almost a tenth from matching my personal best) then flew through the 2nd sector to get new personal best second split by almost a tenth. Then it was all about keeping my cool through the last sector to keep the gained tenth and hopefully take another one, but I surprised myself with probably my best last sector, over 0.3s better than my recent best at the line, and over 0.4s better than the lap with my previously posted splits!

It is possible to go faster, there where a couple of corners where I never got near the inner kerb, and the exit onto the start/finish straight was slightly wide. I'm not sure if I will do a faster lap, I'm really satisfied with this. I have enjoyed every lap in this car and for once not felt any frustration so far. Judging by the leaderboard this may be my best TT so far, really like the car and combo. I even enjoyed watching the replay when checking the lap for cleanness at the Mercedes arena. It looks so smooth and stable. The car pitches and rolls like a boat though.

First hour or so with this tonight. Really enjoyable car to drive once I got the hang of it!

Not my best T1 but decent T2 and can definatley improve the last corner aswell so hopefull of some improvment if I find the time. Tomorrows events will probably result in no seat time up untill the deadline haha  may have another go tonight as loving the combo!!

9 laps into my second session, and new splits:

39.876
1'06.143

A whopping 0.002 quicker at the line.

There's a lot to gain in T3; on one lap I gained 0.3 compared to my previous lap in T3 alone (0.22 compared to my current lap).

Another 4 laps:

39.863
1'06.113

Much faster in T3; 0.254 quicker at the line.

EDIT: Just threw away a 1'05.883 by running too wide coming out of the chicane and spinning off. :ouch:

I have to give it a rest for today, ...but... I'll be back :)

Well done Nemo. 👍 :gtpflag:

Not played since Wednesday. have the Flu or some bug coughing and spluttering  all over the place :yuck:, shaking like a leaf :nervous:, not good for DS3, no strength, so I cannot drag the playseat out. Hopefully, on it again tomorrow. Have submitted best time just in case, fingers crossed T3 is good enough.

By the way, how do you view the submitted laps (Zip format?)in the archive?

Go to the leaderboard results page:

http://wrs.gtplanet.net/GT6/results/7/

This is week 7's results. On the right hand side there is an icon
icon_replay_unchecked.png
- click on that for the replay you wish to view and it will download.

Then use whatever software you have to make zip files unzip it, then put it on a flash drive and copy it onto the PS3.

First session in the RGT and it was tail happy but i got a decent time on the clock.

At least i'm happy with it for now.

This combo has been driving me absolutely batty the last few days. No improvement over multiple sessions, but finally found .15 at the line today. There's a tenth left for me in each sector, but not sure if I have enough hair left to keep trying more. I've torn it all out! :grumpy:

39.867
66.150

BB 5/5 and ABS 3.

Yeah, I just gave it another hour hoping to find a few tenths and came up with nothing. I'm spent for this combo, time submitted 👍

Submitted and accepted. Only managed two sessions on this one, so not expecting too much. It's too bad, because the car drives almost perfectly. Oh well, off to Matterhorn to support my team.

Good luck everyone.

My best T2 time overall, and matched my final sector... I kid you not, I gained 0.001 there. Pretty much the lap I hoped for, another tenth in T1 and half a tenth in T3 would've been perfect!

Edit: Green sectors, let me savour this moment before I drop 5 spots in the next 24 hours :P
