I thought I wasn't going to like a tail-happy car but this one is a blast, certainly not easy to be precise with the DS3 though:

41.450
1'08.417

This was a pretty horrible lap in heaps of places so I hope there's still a second or maybe two for me to find 👍

Just a quick clarification.
With two tires touching the white line is it clean, or do the tires have to touch the tarmac the inside of the white line?

This looks to be a lot of fun. I just hope I can join in. Got home from work tonight and completely threw out my back reaching into the fridge for a beer. (you know you're old when). Icing my lower back and hopefully give this a try tomorrow.

Maybe go for the 12oz bottle instead of the pony keg? ;) Hope it clears up in time. 👍

Had a chance to try this earlier today and got some ok splits for T1 and T2 but then drifted the final corner, better than I've ever drifted before. :dopey: So I'd agree @nursemorph, this thing is great for slidin's!

May hit it again shortly to "correct that slide". :P

Tough little car! TT10 @ Complex string was probably the last time i used this car in a GT game :P
anyway gradually finding a bit more speed, best save so far has...

39.966
66.214

Great splits from Twissy  👍

  • Red and white rumbles and tarmac inside white boundary line, including the line itself are legal track.
Just like tennis. :D

Best WRS combo I've tried since long time ago, I didn't touch this RUF RGT in GT5, it handles much better than what I was expecting, it's tempting to drift it on every curve :P , what surprised me is the poor brakes being this a modified Porsche, I never have driven one in real life (my wish :D ) so I don't know what I'm talking about, but the car behaviour, weight transfer, steering, oversteer, understeer, they are plausible to me.

Can I just clarify something? This is definitely a Time trial right? Only I spent so much time drifting round corners that I am not entirely sure anymore . Can't believe I have never driven this one before as it would make a great drift machine.

is there anything this car likes?

This car has more grip.. than it let's on.. :).. keep the throttle low.. take caution accelerating out of corners.. even use higher gears.. than you need.. until you get used to the handling characteristic.. & she will reward you.. nicely..:P

Are we allowed chassis rigidity, or is this class as tuning

No.. modifications.. includes chassis rigidity.. you can only add oil..

Yeah, I see it has a lot of grip. The problem I have is using the x button for throttle control is extremely difficult with a car like this....I have been able to take all the corners cleanly but not all in the same lap. On one lap, I managed to drift the corner through almost the entire corners 2 and 3. Using higher gears is not an option as I use auto so get what the game gives me.

I have managed to work out the lines etc for all the corners and, if I hit everything correctly in a lap, I would probably be a couple of seconds quicker. Unfortunately, I have picked up an annoying habit of entering the 1st corner and the chicane with the car sideways.

One thing I have found is that brake bias has a much greater effect on this car than any others I have tried so far. I tried the usual for rwd cars of giving it a front bias (7/3) and it made it way too unstable and developed a tendency to veer to the right on braking much like the FXX. Anything less than 5 on the rear seems to introduce this characteristic. I have found 7/5 to be the best for me so far

Hey Ramon! You submitted your qualifiers? :scared:

Nice little list I made there - print out and glue to DFGT  :dopey:

Edit: STAY OFF THE BRAKES IN CORNERS!!

Yeah.. I also use the 'X' button.. and it not that easy.. just needs a very gently touch.. (Easier said than done).. Yeah.. that's a bad habit.. going into corners sideways... must break a little earlier..

I haven't tried to adjust the BB yet.. but will give it go..

New splits..

If there is one car that screams "I've got tonnes of mechanical grip, treat me right sexy and I'll share my secret" this is it. Auto trans won't cut it here.

Brits will get this reference; I think it is "Father Jack" in the car world and shout out an expletive ridden call for no apparent reason.

Anyway, splits later when I can beat it.
