@Nemo Niente : That's what I end up doing with it when I've had enough....I've had more fun bumping the obstacles around the track than driving it properly:lol:. My current challenge is trying to hit one of the blocks on the chicane, from the wrong direction, to get it down to the bottom of the hill in one go...currently I've got it to hit the barrier that sticks out on the left hand side halfway down the hill (on the right if traveling in the correct direction). That's how much frustration this car is causing me as I don't normally resort to fun and games :(

Anyway, tried to run this earlier and it was a complete disaster, so ran a few laps with TCS 5 and, while I was a lot quicker (8 tenths over the lap), I have discounted those times as if I have to resort to driving with that level of TCS, then I shouldn't be anywhere near this game (I didn't even need TCS 5 for the FXX!!). So, I went and did a few laps with the Rocket....failed miserably with that...came back to the RUF....TCS on 1, B/B 7/5.

And managed to set better times...though even a clean lap with minimal sliding is so far off the pace that I may as well be driving a Kubelwagen :banghead:. Regardless, I did manage to improve my S2 time by 4 tenths and my overall time by 5 tenths so I can't complain too much. Not sure how much more I can get from it given I can rarely get any consistency together...I am 7 tenths off my current ultimate lap but not sure I will get it. My current PB's together for S2 is a 68 flat so I'm well off that pace. We shall see but I don't expect much more improvement:

S1: 41.384
S2: 1:08.634

Isn't it always, in some way or other?:banghead::ouch:👍:gtpflag:

Wonder why I never could do the cone challenges in Career mode, here I have no trouble hitting them 🤬 cones

Nothing better.. than 'Flying cones'.. ;)

Just an idea.. before I change to manual gears.. I assigned R2 as the accelerator.. & L2 as the breaks.. it gives you far more control.. for the accelerator.. as you can increase it much more gently.. and hold it easier.. you may find it better.. than the X button.. worth a try..

Tried 7 5 brakes like @nursemorph, but it wasn't as good as previous lap with 7 7. So I tried 7 6 and found 4 tenths . . .

I got a good sector 1 so didn't do such a great sector 2, but got a better sector 3 I think. :)

DTM
There are some corner that can be taken in 2nd or 3th gear. I chose for 3th, be cause it's the smoother way and a bit easier. After seeing Chris @Vagabond video and taking the aggressive approach. I wonder what is the fastest way?

So far, I used 3rd for turn 2 and 4. Otherwise gears seem to select themselves 👍

Fetchy doesn't read edited posts.

Thanks. Didn't know that

Cheers mate. I'm still not sure what suits me the best in the 2nd corner. Entering with a short drop to 2nd with the right amount of throttle makes the car feel more stable. Did a few high 39's that way. Will try staying in 3th the next try. I can't remember what gear i use for 4th corner you know why

Good to finally see you qualifying Ramon @eclipsee

And some new splits

Yeah, it is a good idea. I tried it in Week 1 and it did give me more control but it makes my hands ache too much (another side effect of pain killers!). I will just persevere as others can cope with it.

Did another run this evening with b/b 5/5...doesn't really make much difference. What does make a difference is lifting off the brake before turning in....it makes the car less likely to slide. Finally got a sub 41 S1 and S2 split of 68.3 but, unfortunately, they were in a red lap due to going off track before the last corner on the previous lap :banghead:. Did manage a non-red lap which was a tenth up at S2 but couldn't improve my overall lap:

S1: 41.367
S2: 1:08.517

The aggravating thing about that is that after driving the car into walls, tire piles and cinder blocks in anger, frustration and desperation, the car still won't behave the 🤬 little 🤬 🤬 !

You know, this thing doesn't make too bad a noise either. :)

Spent some time messing about with BB and ended up back at 5/5 but with ABS 2

Hard to say how much more there is - can go quicker through some corners only to lose it in the next, so I'm guessing I can go about another 0.2 to T2 and maybe another 0.3 on the lap.

I have to say, I'm enjoying it alot more with the 032 firmware. Shame about the rev lights but I can live without them for better FFB.

I had to go with BB 7/7 to get it to slow down for this Old Fart!! :gtpflag:

How in all the variations of Hades did your car get that dirty??!!:mischievous:
As I said, I always start my days on the race track with a couple of rounds in the sand trap. This helps getting the rough body surface that I am convinced helps achieving better speed. But it has to be fine grain. Preferably it should have been supplemented with several brittle colouration spots as well, as I use on my daily ride. It doesn't help cracking bumpers with cones,;) that only affects the phase negatively for a long time. I've witnessed that on my better half.

I use 3rd for turn 2 too but for turn 4 I use 2nd, it's a bit tricky but definitely faster.

[edit]
I'm using ABS 1 and 5/5 as brake balance, mainly because if I change the BB and later I press restart, the values get reset to default (wonders of PD  ) , it's a pain to reconfigure the BB at every restart.

It takes a while to get used to this delicate flower again.

40.204 (T1 is figured out now)
1:06.890 (T2 is RUF)
T3 I feel good about, when I can hit it.
