Well, my lap time yesterday was, unfortunately, set on the wrong grip (was still on low) :banghead:🤬. While it is nice to see my name second in Div 3 on the splits leaderboard, it would be wrong for my time to stay there as it wasn't valid so, hopefully, Fetchy will pick up these slower splits to make the board correct, though I'm confident I will improve:

S1: 15.228
S2: 37.778

I know you will...I have to put some effort in it....maybe I will catch the 1. place in D3, hahahaha....no, dont think so :)

14.950
37.583

I'm not liking sector 2 very much, the bump at the beginning of it keeps throwing me on the wall. Probably haven't set up my car well, but don't know how Im losing .6 over there.

T1: 15.414
T2: 38.580

Thought I would post these splits, I am very pleased with them. Done 526 miles on this circuit and getting better, I think my final sector is fast, many more miles to go.

Found this in the OP

  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible

Would the brake markers be considered as objects ? in other words, would a second lap be 'dirty' if there are braking mark boards on the road in the first corner ???

Yes, the brake markers would be objects. So if you hit one, even with two tires in bounds, it will invalidate your lap.

Are you sure we are all talking about the same thing? I believe he was asking about the boards that end up ON the road.

Those markers just scatter about willy nilly.

It's unfortunate that they can scatter without even hitting them (happened at Laguna in GT5 as well). Your saved best-lap replay must show you not hitting them, so please review in Gallery mode carefully.

It's probably a good idea to save a few best-lap replays, making use of the new Remove Best Lap replay option (ie save a good lap, remove it, save another possibly slower, repeat).

Are you saying that we need to avoid those that lay scattered on the road?

The 'remove ghost' doesn't work that way, at least not for me.

No, run over the ones that are already in the road, that's fine. But what I'm saying is that viewing your replay in the Gallery is the final word on whether you've hit one on the side of the road or not. Regardless of where they fly in real-time while you're driving, you'll need to go check the replay and make sure they're all magically back in place.

Ok. Clear now.👍 Thank you 👍

You'd think this was a tuning prohibited week with this plethora of tunes we have posted in here. Must have been relocated to the tuning protection program.

This would have been fun in the land rover suv.. i want mayhem.

LOL, the team competition sure made people little cautious about sharing tunes :)

I had some competitive D3 laps with pretty much stock suspension settings, transmission on auto 290kph. The only thing I fiddled with were the diffs. 5/20/5 and 5/30/5 works well for me.

Now all that talk about the braking markers on the side is making me realize I might not be entering that turn wide enough. I never have problems with the markers.

Path of least resistance. Take it.

In messing around with my wheel settings the other day, I found that if I enable the auto-clutch (ACL) on my CSR-E it honks the horn every time I shift. brrrAAAAP *HONK*....brrrrrAAAPPP...*HONK* Weird. I should capture a video of it.

Back home on my proper sized TV, and 15 laps in hit this one...

14.807
36.924

Not great at T2, but I nailed T3 and it's a lap I'd be happy to submit if the deadline was tonight. Time to relax and chase the last one or two tenths now the pressure is off :)

@Tuffers86 : Not fair...thought I'd done enough to be the best of the rest in Div 3....then you move the goalposts . Anyway, a PB s2 split and 2 tenths at the line:

S1: 15.104
S2: 37.638

It's quite the battle, this combo is so odd that every day I'm finding time. Actually had a sub fifteen sec T1 which naturally I slammed into the wall
