I know this is a double post, but it isnt even in the same context as the previous post, so I thought this would be a better format.

I am tired of people playing the Zonda off like it is the best car, when it is most certainly not. This car has a bi-polar personality and I, and most likely Mag as well, have spent countless hours tuning retuning and retuning this car just to get it to where it is fairly competitive. To get this car to drive fast is not very hard, and with a somewhat competent driver as I'd like to think I am, it can be run toward the front; however this car is a nightmare when it comes to consistency and tire management. While other cars like the GT test and Vette get great tire wear handed to them, we in the zonda have to baby the car around the corners and install crazy set-ups on the car. You guys might fight an understeer or oversteer issue, but in the zonda, we have both to deal with. This car may lap fast around the track, but you just can't run balls out in that car for very long.

So please take that rumor of this being "the best car in the series" and throw it out the window. Focus your envy and hatred on that GT test car as it has phenomenal cornering ability, needs little to no throttle control, has blessed tires, and the same top end as the zonda even being squandered 80hp.

I know you are on top of all of this dynamic car class, and I am greatly appreciative of that. I just wanted to thwart the rumors of the zonda being this mythical godly piece of automotive engineering, and show them how much work was needed to go into the car to make it competitive in race trim.
 
Very true Veloci, I never thought that the zonda was even a top 5 car. Your driving skill is the only thing keeping it in the fight so far. I think the rumour about the Zonda was started by the gt test car drivers to take attention away from how good their car really is, and good tire wear is what's winning these races.

Theoretically the Z06 is better....So kudos to GTP_Erik for banging around in a ZR1. He was really fast( on the leading pace) in our test session the other night. So its no surprise that he won the division II race by a fair bit. Doubt its the car because the forums seem to think either the Z06 is better or that their both even.

yeah. but lets give some cred to the test car drivers to...with 571hp you have to be pretty darn good like Lucky to get pole.....Now that everyone has recieved the credit they duly deserve......

Zonda is a tough car to handle. As mentioned when you do nail it down and get some rhythm it rewards you. However that reward can end up being severe punishment if you don't stay on your toes.

Vettes, ZR1 just goes better. I don't know why myself. But it has more PP at same specs. So obviously PD thinks its better.

Test car. Grip an tire wear master. Leaves you pretty simple drive honestly. It's forgiving. However it does lack the raw straight speeds.

The Viper is good at it's level. The CLK is equal to the Viper in my opinion. If you can't match a Viper in one. Tune it or change your driving.

Rest of the cars are pretty well balanced. F1 has some back lash if you over do it.

Anyway. Cars are really really close to me.
 
^ yeah im surprised that no one has done more damage(no pun intended) in the clk. That car has awesome potential. It anyone cares for stats that car dominated back in FIa GT1 world champs in 96-98 i think. or maybe for longer than that.

both of my accounts are frozen i used backed up data from flash drive and it still won't load this is a problem, i think Wal-Mart sold me a bootleg copy, i have never been able to buy certain cars from any of the dealers it would even freeze in my garage when changing cars. i will have to start another account it looks like :banghead: i might have to ask for a ticket once again sorry guys

perhahps you could pickup another copy of GT5 at its $30 i think. i know itll be a pain but atleast this wont keep happening.

Oh man that means youll have to do 200 miles of break in all over again. I recommend just send you car to b-spec. ( i think b-spec breaks in the car). Or do what i always do...run a race at daytona speedway. Grab the ds3 out for this one. watch some tv at the same time.

Lucky. My buddy had zero problems till spec 2.0 update. Now the only way I could get his game to work with out freezing was not install it to hard drive. I removed it all started fresh. Installed his game save and he is up and going fine.

Hope that helps you out man.

I firmly believe its a bad hard drive for some reason.
 
I really don't like the CLK, but it was either that or the f1, as I don't have the other cars to even try out. The damn thing is always understeering, and I have tried everything I know to fix it. I absolutely hate understeer!

Sorry to let the clk fanclub down. If anyone can help provide a decent tune it would be great.

If I can somehow get that viper I might switch to it if I like it better.

Look at last season. I was ahead of the Vipers that both you and Atlas drove. Now, i'm running at the back. Something has happened since to the CLK, I don't know if it's Spec 2, or i'm just not as great as I used to be, but Qualifying wise, I am simply not there, contrasting last season where I took pole at Monaco and La Sarthe.

I am going to have to find a solution to this new problem of mine. I'm o good at tuning, which makes it ever so much more difficult.

i don't have a external hard drive, or i would try that. but for now i might have to make new account again:tdown:

When you install GT5 fresh it will ask you if you want install on hard drive. Don't do so. Let it run from the disc like many games do. this was the only way it stopped freezing on him. We was able to load his game save on HD fine and all. Maybe we got lucky. But I uninstalled and reinstalled the thing three times before finding some j go saying to run from disc.
 
man this is enough to made a guy go blind with rage. but once again the boss has saved the day with a special ticket, only had to cycle twice before the car of your nightmares was back home in my garage. im off to dream about that beautiful black trailer queen.
