Haha, i was considering running my zonda at 620 for monaco, but damn now im gonna be SUPER slow in the straights. Oh well, back to tuning the suspension for further awesomness.

my thought on the new reg revisions is that the LM Race Car Ford GT didn't need a power cut. It was good racing between Blaze and I. I think a weight penalty (30-40kgs?) on the Test car would of been better then a power cut to be honest. The Zonda is about right.. I was personally thinking 20hp cut.

630 would be nicer than 620 :D

The car is already too slow on the straights, I agree a weight penalty would be better for the Ford. 1190kg would be better IMO. The GTR was seriously slow as well. Glad to see it get a break. I think I might grab that car instead of the Ford, let the new guy take it in Div2. I don't even get the chance to finish the races anyway! lol

well guys i am going to call this series quits i think this is BS i already had the least hp and now the car will be down 120hp COMPLETE BS and over weigh the car will not be competitive good luck guys

The car's straight line speed isn't the problem that needs to be addressed, it's the cornering speed being higher than most other cars. With ballast added to it, it would be slowed down in the corners, but the HP should stay the same.

But those extra stops for tires are the price for speed. ;)

They will be quick. Over a race. I'd think they be better off managing tires.

However on half tires they still come out turns good. Uh oh.

Lucky,

The Ford Test Car is actually now in Spec with Jav's original specs for it. It was moved up to help drivers using it as they was really having trouble.

You guys have came along and learned the car as well spec 2.0 helped. It is really needing to be we're it was originally. You know this.

You are aware the viper was 690 or something then 650. As we got faster with tunes cars had to be balanced.

Part of the deal. Take the challenge and make it happen.

Come on don't quit. Just think how much closer and tighter the racing will be.

You got a real Skyline. You can buy a rig no problem. So really. You got no reason to quit this!

Clean races are gonna be the deciding factor IMO.

believe me i don't need the prize i have a very nice rig already and more then 7 zero's in my bank account. thats not the point. the point is that we started with regs. and should finish with the same regs. or this season should not have started if we where not completely sure of the competitiveness of each car don't punish us drivers who have found speed in our cars that others could not

And you're playing this rather than running track days on sunday?

Anywho, if the cars were open, then nothing would be a problem abnd everyone would run the forg GT test car, but the fact that the cars are limited to two per class, then there are some incongruencies to be dealt with. I got hit with a restriction as well, and I am toughing it out. Face it, the GTs were the fastest and the zonda had a lot of speed as well. That's why they got pinged.

He had to do it really the zonda was way faster then anyone else over a single lap and it will maybe spice up the racing a little bit and make the cars the more even should i say im quite liking the idea 👍

I agree with the Ford cut tbf. Don't think the viper should get away scott free though..

BTW lucky, this balance of performance was to bring the front cars closer to the pace of those at the rear. You know for fairness. If you want quit then so be it, but we know either way the Ford has it's strength in the corners, and as far as I can see that performance potential hasn't been touched. Sure at this spec it might not be favorites at the long straights but apart from Le Mans ( which has stupidly long straights and relatively few corners), it can be competitive around most tracks.

Put it simply: Redbull not the fastest car in a straightline, but it managed to win at Monza and Spa where power is seen as most key.

Agree. i got beat by a viper in 2 of the first four rounds. I got beat by both vipers at Spa....... In addition me and the vipers are always in lockstep. Ive only ever finished at most 1 place ahead of a Viper. Me and tissimo have been in lockstep all season. ill accept my hp reduction but theres no way the Viper gets to go free. Especially considering that The Viper has won a race this season and I have not......

what about the CLK? how much did pj pay you lol ;)

Was fastest in daytona and seems it will be the quickest around monaco.

Because of the changes being made maybe we will see different people on pole position and possibly winning a race for a first time which also would be good for the series not always the fastest person on pole with the fastest car by miles great job Jav! 👍👍

over 10 million.. rig's for everyone on lucky ;)

i know its a bit early but, being that the r/l fia gt is moving to gt3 spec will this series be running gt3 specs next season?

if so i think it migh make balance a little more even with no silly 90's gt1s and weight up higher and hp lower it will be closer to gt500 specs.

It's the driver, not the car. ;) Monaco and Daytona are 2 of my very best tracks, plus some track and driver specific adjustments to tissimo's setup for the CLK has helped.

To be honest, I don't agree with these regulation changes, regarding the Fords, both of them. Like everyone has said already, the advantage that they have lies in their supreme cornering ability, and their straightline speed is average at best, the Test Car a mile behind in a straight line already, now it will be hopeless at any track that isn't Monaco. Hell, even there, it will probably struggle. The Zondas also didn't need a power cut, because they really aren't that much faster in a straight line, which they probably made up for already in being challenging cars to drive and get the tyres to last on.

What i'm seeing that will, and has already happened, is people will now consider quitting. Lucky, you're a great driver, you could probably still manage to keep that Ford up there. Don't quit. Jav, Don't penalize the Ford or the Zonda's hp. Most the Zonda needs is -10hp, and the Ford needs ballast instead, and maybe after ballasting it about 15-20kg, a hp boost of around 10hp should put it with the other cars in straightline speed and cornering ability, as well as tyre wear.

👍

As for the CLK and the Viper, those cars seem to do a lot better in race trim, than over a single qualifying lap in qualifying. So while it may be something like 6 tenths off in qualifying, it'll be with you in the race ,ready to take advantage of any mistakes you make.

over 10 million.. rig's for everyone on lucky ;)

believe me you don't stay rich if you foolishly spend. just because i have money doesn't mean i'm not on a budget just like the rest of you. if you only knew the problems that having money brings, i pay more in taxes then some make in a year. i own a couple restaurants that seem to eat more then the customers...lol and with my rental properties i spend enough to make a young man grey.

on another note that red bull rig is sick and i now want it so my Rseat will be on ebay soon:tup:
just checked website they are sold out

Sounds like you've got a cash cow on your hands. You should sponsor Newman Haas racing....hahahaha. that would be interesting. Newman Lefty Racing? Lefty Haas Racing? Newman Left Haas Racing?
