I agree with the Ford cut tbf. Don't think the viper should get away scott free though..

BTW lucky, this balance of performance was to bring the front cars closer to the pace of those at the rear. You know for fairness. If you want quit then so be it, but we know either way the Ford has it's strength in the corners, and as far as I can see that performance potential hasn't been touched. Sure at this spec it might not be favorites at the long straights but apart from Le Mans ( which has stupidly long straights and relatively few corners), it can be competitive around most tracks.

Put it simply: Redbull not the fastest car in a straightline, but it managed to win at Monza and Spa where power is seen as most key.

You all leave my poor Viper alone.👍 If I could get my viper as fast as the ones in D1, it wouldn't be a problem to drop some HP. I'm always about 3 to 4 sec. off most of your times.:)
 
To be honest, I don't agree with these regulation changes, regarding the Fords, both of them. Like everyone has said already, the advantage that they have lies in their supreme cornering ability, and their straightline speed is average at best, the Test Car a mile behind in a straight line already, now it will be hopeless at any track that isn't Monaco. Hell, even there, it will probably struggle. The Zondas also didn't need a power cut, because they really aren't that much faster in a straight line, which they probably made up for already in being challenging cars to drive and get the tyres to last on.

What people don't see or don't know is that the Ford very nearly walked away with a championship at this Spec, with 3 wins to its name at Indy, Monza and Monaco when the Viper and Zonda were at 683 HP and 1150kg and The BMW at 680 and a bunch of podiums. Trust me the Ford Test Car is where it belongs, the Race Car in the other hand may be looked into again.

believe me you don't stay rich if you foolishly spend. just because i have money doesn't mean i'm not on a budget just like the rest of you. if you only knew the problems that having money brings, i pay more in taxes then some make in a year. i own a couple restaurants that seem to eat more then the customers...lol and with my rental properties i spend enough to make a young man grey.

on another note that red bull rig is sick and i now want it so my Rseat will be on ebay soon:tup:

Just did a few laps. Literally a few laps. 3 laps, and the first lap was a 1:26.7. Second lap right after that, was a 1:26.6, and the third lap after that, was a 1:26.5. I'm looking good for consistent pace at the moment. Qualifying, I hope to dip into the low 26's, but that would take a balls to the wall (literally) lap.

:lol: I ain't no fool. Will turn the pace down in the race to 27's to save the tyres, and keep myself from crashing.

Biggest fear right now is my internet conenction. Hoping that it doesn't Disconnect me like it did last year, and also that I don't get that stupid pitlane glitch, which is what cost me victory last year. :grumpy:
 
Ballast is better than negating power imo. Fords already damn slow down the straight. I'm getting online for practice, anyone else?

im already 3-4 sec off div1 times i dont think its fair to cut the fords power in div2, id like to change my car if the ford is staying at 551hp my lap times were already the slowest in div1 with 571hp. i did manage to not qualify in last at daytona but that was a first for me.

also i still say go with gt3 specs next season im sure this series will be far better than the one someone mentioned and just because some one else ran one dosent mean anything arent there quite a few super gt leagues runnin out there. having 2 gt3 leagues really wouldnt be a big deal. however i know its up to Jav so i wont keep pushing the idea if its not somthing he wants to do.

The GT is staying at those specs, for season 4 we will go back to mixed class racing with GT1/GT2. GT2 Specs are very close to the RL GT3 cars, fast and easy to drive, plus competition is so much tighter with those specs!

I'm gonna try the heat gun thing on YouTube tmrw...if that doesn't work I'm buying my cousins 80gb fat ps3 if I buy him a new one :) I really need that backwards compatibility...don't feel like buying a 4th ps2 lol

Best thing I ever did was pay the extra for extended warranty. Having exchanged my fat twice the third unit was a slim. Which the warranty had like 4 months left. They let purchase another three years on the exchange. Like 40 dollars 2yrs ago and I'm still covered for two more years.

Those Fats are nice. But riddled with problems

I was thinking the whole race, like what Blaze did for the past races.

If you're thinking a few key laps, then go ahead and film the pass on Magzire and Blaze for the lead, and the last few laps, with Blaze and Magzire's ongoing battle, and Balze's incident, if you'd like.

Those Fats are nice. But riddled with problems

I'm just happy I spent the 17$ and got the Psn plus subscription like a month ago :)

i am testing my bucket and it's not as bad as i first thought still not happy, and would cut Jav's tires...lol :mischievous: j/k i would like to know what kinda speeds people are seeing on the mulsanne's if some of you guys could post MPH's for the first mulsanne, i'm sure us guys that just got castrated would like to know what to expect from the CLK, Vette, and Viper especially the 670hp Vette. i'm thinking about 210 mph for the Vette is that about right Supra?
 
The regulations that Jav made, he has already said, are designed to balance out the cars over a season. The Ford isn't supposed to be fast everywhere. While it will be a east at tracks like Suzuka, Monaco, Indy Road, it will struggle at tracks like Monza, La Sarthe and Daytona. For the 670hp Vette, it will be top dog at tracks like Monza, La Sarthe and Daytona, but will struggle anywhere else in comparison.

The clk will be hitting 207 208 I believe. The vette will be doing 217 probably . Viper Has a high rpm range turbo so will probably do 204 - 205mph...... I used to do 201 down the mulsanne straight at 600hp but now I'm at 571hp......so tissimo u will have the edge on me . Damn viper.

I'll test tomorrow to see how high I get. Are you Doing a standing start at the beginning of the straight or going through Tetre Rouge at speed onto the straight?
