GTPlanet ITCC Driver's Meetings (pre- and post-race)

I use a pad and automatic transmission. If I had money for a wheel I'd be faster because I could regulate which gear the car was in. Also throttle application would be better for me out of turns and entering them. I'm sure once I get enough money together and get one I'll gain a good bit of time with it. But for now I'll DS3 it in automatic.

I'm with you fresh. I drive the same way.
I do have a wheel(older Logitech GT Force Pro), but nothig to set it up on. I have a bad back and haven't found something comfortable to use my wheel with.

Sorry to TNT for the bump draft that caused him to crash into damu in race 2. I backed off though. I broke early so I wouldn't drive you into the corner. Sorry to jp for the 3rd race lap 5 chicane.

Well I apologize to Prodigy for rear ending him in the second race 3 ... apologies go to all the others I tapped during the races ... I'll go through the replays to see exactly what happened to who ...

Watched the replay of the 1st race 3. Seth or cnd or both missed their braking point into that left hand turn and wrecked each other with johnny on the outside getting wrecked too? Then nizmo finished them off from the rear. Don't see how a "racing" incident becomes a red flag to redo. I could understand if someone ****ed up the field in turn 1 of the first lap but an isolated incident on lap 4? I'm baffled.

It's all good buddy. :) After u let off I couldn't slow down good enough to miss damue. I just hope damue will except my apology.

I do apologize for a couple of taps to the rear of a couple of drivers.

I also didn't take the positions away, I backed down and let u 2 get back to it.

Even though I ended up finishing last, I have to say I agree with Orunge, at least in part. I don't recall reading anything in the regs about a do-over. The race is the race. We had an entire week to set up the particulars of the race in terms of number of laps, first corner restrictions, start procedure etc. It is what it is. If it's a fustercluck it's a fustercluck and we deal with the race as it is. Having a do over reduces the motivation to set up the parameters to get it right the next time. I believe we should take a hard look at things this week and figure out some options to avoid that kind of race in the future. I lost my team mate already (anyone wants to sign on send me a PM:nervous:) and guys are going to start dropping out of the series if it doesn't clean up and get more organized.

first a big sorry to jonnypesno, your braking point caught me of guard into that chicane, i tried to avoid you but we ran out of road, sencond apology to cnd01, i think i gave you a decent bump in the back on turn 4, (after the fast sweeper) almost the same thing, i had a big speed difference and had my nose about halway along, tried to out brake you but we broke at the same time, which of the racing line i ran you wide into the wall, im sorry,

im also sorry for the power going out, i missed one hell of a race, it was fantastic, cant wait for the next one, you guys are awesome,

I would have made the turn, but I think it was Seth that rearranged my rear end. It was a lag apparently that caused the crash. That is why we had a redo. Seth said that Nizmo was lagging, and that is what caused that crash. If I remember right, Niz lag shunted Seth into me which in turn took out Johnny. That is why I wanted to redo. If it had been purely driver error then that is just racing. I see where you are coming from.

I'm with Johnny to be honest. My misjudging the chicane came after cnd got a good run on me after apparently nudging TnT (whom seemed to be dive bombing me at the time giving me red mist). This then made more collisions, yet wasn't red flagged. I went from on the podium to 3rd last in this chain of events. Agentorunge was rammed into the hairpin later on as well. We can't have half a dozen of one & six of the other.

I'll have to check the replays when I get some free time, so I can actually see all the incidents from race 2 onwards (went to save race 1 but got mass dc'ed).

I can guarantee you that lag or no lag I was too far behind to shunt Seth ... I watched everything from behind ... Seth rammed into CND who took JP off ... I was caught off guard in drove into the middle of that scenario ...

EDIT: I've just watched the replay that I'm getting accused off ... First Race 3 Lap 4 ... If you watch nicely from the 86GT's rear cam view, I am one to two car lengths clear from that driver ... Watch from rear cam view and it proves I did not shunt anyone going into that corner ... Nuff said ...

We don't have to take the redo. I was going off of what Seth said. I have raced with Seth before. He doesn't make that big of an error. That is why I said redo. The whole race 3 was FUBAR anyway. PM me your vote yes or no to count the redo.

I understand where you coming from man ... But I got taken out at the chicane 3/4 times throughout the session, dropping me places. But you don't see me whining about it or investigating it ... The discipline is lacking in this series ... It has been for a while ...

Sorry guys. I think the track's a bit... off... when this sort of thing was happening. I mean, it's incredibly fun, and fits very well with the "Touring Car" feel of the series, but it was too hard to make a clean pass. Even if I set up a clean pass, I'd be off the racing line, and would be on a poor racing line, making me lift, to avoid the crashes.

I admit to having given Damu a little shunt into the wall, in race 3, as two corners before he had run me into the wall too, and I wanted to get by him quickly, but couldn't turn the car away from the wall, and Damu was outside of me, during my little fit of understeer.

As for me, that re-do was good, until the last lap. I forget who it was, whom I was trying to outbrake, but into turn one, I waited too late, while I was off the line, and on the marbles, the brakes, (and e-brake) don't work well. So, I ended up overspeed. I tried my best to stay out of the way. It was a pretty dramatic skid.

Nizmo, I'm not racing with you again. :( I can't do it guys. Either him or I will leave or do division 2. EVERY race you lag hit me! EVERY DAMN TIME! There was no stopping it. Race 1 and 2 you lagged in the chicane, gave no room by stopping there then smashed my car. Steering damage and engine damage. I was lucky on race 3 (4). You just took out others at the chicane instead. But somehow you yet again managed to tag me from behind with your lag pushing me into CND and co. I'll post pictures to show your lag slams later.

I would like to see the replay from your point of view. Is it on share?

All I can say is that I'll do my 100% best to be better when in the draft to break earlier than I normally would. I did however get pushed around in these 4 races by quite a few drivers our leader (Mr.M :)) included. I think 90% of us weren't driving like we are suposed to. I still apologise to damue for not being able to slow in time to avoid you. There were a few people over shooting there breaking point into that second to last corner & into the chicane and hitting others. Madrid was a mess.

I am not currently going to bring anything up, incident wise, as there was too much to do so without watching the replays first. There was just too much going on. There was very much a case of the Newton's Cradle with everything that went on (although obviously 1st didn't necessarily stay first and visa versa). All in all, I am now worried about Monaco for obvious reasons. Not so much SSR5 or Tokyo, as there are plenty of wide areas.

There were a lot of driver errors my self included.

Haha, I got hit there too. I remember it, but not who it was.

this track was perfect for touring cars, however, i wouldnt have made it first race of the season, it shouldve been like round 4 or 5, where dicipline would alreay be clear and everyone would be used to close racing, saying this track was a mistake to go to is wrong, just the timing of it was, and in regards to lag slams, its a bit rude going on about it like that, nizmodr3 has tried multiple times during the week to fix the problem, we thought it had gone away, it wasnt there in qually and race 1, what i seen anyway, there must be some gremlin in his internet (perhaps a supplier issue, etc) its not entirely his fault and wingey mcfingey (im leaving or he is boo hooing) is crap grow a pair you sook,

i would like to see the replays if theyre uploaded yet,

For 🤬's sakes guys! We're running with people from every continent in the world excluding Asia! (Unless you consider Australia a part of Asia)

Lag problems might happen. If you see lag, report it immediately. I saw no lag, and at the end of the sessions, to see "Wah, I got put off the track by lag." is unacceptable. We are all somewhat adult, responsible people. We can all speak the same language, and we should all know how to use the chat function in-game.

If you see lag, there's a chance that you'll be put off-track by this lag. Therefore, if you report the lag, and *THEN* you tell us, that you were put off-track by lag, we could be able to take appropriate action in THAT SITUATION. I, as a Race Director and Steward MUST KNOW when someone's lagging. It's your job to say "I see lag."

And, don't blame the South African. I will not allow [negative] comments singling someone out by their nationality here. I don't care if someone's got a bloody Siberian internet connection quality, they should be allowed to try to race with us. Mainland [North] Americans have connection problems with other MAINLAND NORTH AMERICANS. Whether someone's having fun racing in Africa, Asia, Europe or America, we will allow them to continue to have fun.

Yes, some people may be asked to improve their internet connection, if possible, but you guys should also know not to partake in any apartheid-type racism.

I'm not saying Dave's comments were out of place, but there was someone who has been a continual thorn in the side, who also made a remark singling out Nizmo's connection. It's UNACCEPTABLE.

thankyou, im not singling out nizmo, as the main source, however, in testing we have had the occasional incident, ive also been informed by himself that he sighted this as a reason for leaving the series, however, my interpratation of his pm to stating he was leaving was not the lag issue it was more the bullying, in which i have seen in the threads,
as a team we have been working on our cars, and on the connection issues, giving him pointers on how to manually change it and it had worked for a while, and as a team he will continued to be helped,

As a community, he will be helped. This "bullying" will not stand here. If I see anyone single Nizmo out, for his connection, when there are people from every continent in the world, I'll PM them, and tell them to stop. If they continue, they will be penalized or removed. And, I've proven that I'm willing to remove people.

thanks, its good to know that bullying of anyform wont be here,
