Thing I find strange is that the CCX is gonna be £60. And if thats because of the door mechanism, fair enough...... but if its sealed, i'll be pi$$ed.

if it's sealed ill kidnap the CEO of autoart's daughter until they become unsealed

Here are some of my latest pics. There's quite a bunch of them.

Mercedes CLK-GTR #12 Original Teile by AUTOart 1/18

I nabbed this one for what I would consider a steal. $40 including shipping. It's a very nice model.

Peugeot 206 WRC #2 Gronholm New Zealand Winner

This is the car that Marcus Gronholm won his 2002 championship in. New Zealand is the actual race where he clinched the championship as well. Found this one for a nice deal as well ($30), and I like the addition, I like the driver as well and it means something special to me since it's the car he clinched the championship in.

Panoz GTR-1 & Panoz AIV Roadster

Both are in the exact colour I was looking for. Was gonna buy these last year but held off on it. Well this time no more, grabbed them while I still could. They're nice models as well, much nicer than my Hot Wheels models.

Benetton B198 "Alex Wurz" by Minichamps

This is the car Alex Wurz, one of my favorite drivers, raced in the 1998 season. I believe it was his second F1 car/season as I have seen a B197 of his as well, though not exactly sure. He didn't do "too well" that season, but I like the driver, and I like the overall car itself, and what a steal I got this one too, only $20 if you can imagine that.

Mazda 787B '91 Le Mans 24HR Winner

This one has eluded me for over a year now. When I first really got into the hobby back in like September last year, I saw pictures of this model on another forum and was quite impressed, though I did not welcome the price ($130). I decided not to get it back in like March or April because it wasn't significant enough to me. After grabbing another one or two LM winners in the meantime and some other LM cars, and also having some extra money around, decided why not. I absolutely love the model. The car is quite nice as well. Not the most beautiful ever, but beautiful to me nevertheless. Very very impressed with the model, this is the most expensive and detailed I have gotten so far out of all my models.

Ferrari 612 Scaglietti by Hot Wheels

It's basically in brand new condition, it's my favourite colour and it was a steal and it completes my Ferrari collection that much more, so I like it.

Ferrari F2003 Rubens Barichello

This one here getting ready for decal conversion. I've done all except the white one on the nose. After I do that one, will post some pictures of the full Marlboro conversion.

Well that is it for this haul.

Nice gathering! I love the Mazda, don't regret buying that at all. The Panoz duo and the Merc look good too.

Im desperately trying to post pictures of my latest purchase, but imageshack is being a bit tempremental right now.:ouch:

Edit: Aha! now its working, so here we go....

GMP 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, Brushed Aluminium, LE 1/1500, #0120

Packaging:

The model comes extremely well packed, carefully wrapped up inside a soft polycloth sheet, a plastic cover on top of that and a few blocks of polystyrene to keep it all in place. Also in the box are two penske racing embroidered wing protectors, a small plastic penske racing tag and a metal filter cover (which i found out doesnt fit :\ )

Exterior:

The exterior of this model is superb, it all looks very well proportioned, and the brushed finish i find a lot more attractive than any paint or chrome ive ever seen. Ive spotted a couple of QC issues that GMP may have overlooked, you might see them in the picture, 3 of the 4 wings have a dented wheel arch (hardly noticeable) and the left side door is a little difficult to close, but i dont really mind because its still a dead sexy model and at £58 inc. postage and packing for my first GMP, im certainly very impressed :)

Interior, engine and other detail:

Now this is where this model stands out from the rest of my collection.
The interior looks, i should imagine, much the same as the racing camaros made by GMP.
The boot doesnt stay open so i propped it with a match, but even in an area where most die-cast manufacturers lack any sort of detail (possibly due to the car) GMP have managed to make even the boot a nice surprise for me :)
The engine is an astounding piece of work, very detailed with wiring, piping and such all replicated finely, im very impressed, this is now my most detailed engine bay, taking the top spot from my Jota's!

bondy_1625, I really like the way you posted your review/comments of the model and the way you arranged the images together, impressive work. The pictures are very nice and I am quite impressed myself with the quality of the models. The wheels look really nice, and the cars look really nice as well. Congratulations on getting it.

I got another arrival today (and one yesterday as well).

Subaru Impreza WRC Solberg - 2004 Rally Japan Winner - 1/18 by AUTOart

- about time this one got here. I've wanted a Impreza WRC by AA ever since I saw one a few months ago. I always felt it was a little too much. A little luck getting lucky on ebay, and I got this one for quite a steal as well, plus I like the fact his car is #1 (he won championship in 2003) and it's a model of a rally winner so that means something a bit special as well.

McLaren MP4/17D Kimi Raikkonen 1st Win Malaysia 2003 - 1/18 by Hot Wheels

- been wanting this one since I saw it in a model shop in europe in 2005. It was a lot of money (like 90 euros I think for the HW version, not the Minichamps) and I felt it was too much (wasn't into model collecting back then). I know the Minichamps is probably at least a little better, but it goes for too much on ebay ($150+) and I'm not willing to spend that much. I got this one for the right price ($50) and I've had it on my wishlist since beginning of the year, so I'm really happy I finally have this model.

I will post some pictures of both tommorow.

Well here's my craptastic collection. :sly:

Bburago's I purchased in the late 90's, vette is a Maisto

hoping to get some AA 1/18s but their website catalogue is way too pricey >_<

cheeers

san-tokie, best way to get AA cheaply is over ebay. Good to see you have a Viper.

Adam, loving the Camaro dude, thats one model I wouldn't regret breaking into your house for. :D

Great Camaro & all models come cheaper on eBay.

No more models for me until 2007 (Damn that's a looong time.) because of xmas costs & I need a new notebook :(

That Ebbro is pretty nice. I have that same Viper by Bburago, and also have a Ferrari F40 by Hot Wheels and a Ferrari F50 by Maisto. AA's are indeed pricey. If you're lucky, you can get a nice deal on ebay every so often however. Depends what you're looking for tho.

nice collection :)

from now on, i think everyone should psot a report [bondy style] so we have the knowledge, and there could be a report bank in post 1!!!!

it would be like this:

MANUFACTURER:
NAME OF MODEL:
PRICE:

EXTERIOR DETAIL COMMENTS:

INTERIOR DETAIL COMMENTS:

SCORE /100

we should get a system going !!

Does anyone happen to know the official release date for the AA Koenigsegg CCX 1:18? I want one really bad and I heard it's not sealed. Hooray for sweet doors!

Also, has anyone heard of any company making Lamborghini's new LP640? In 1:18 of course :)

No idea and no (CCX and LP640 respectively).

Good idea CCX about the rating system. I'll post two quick "reviews" when I get home with some pics, maybe other ppl will follow.

AUTOart
Mitsubushi Lancer EVO VII
RRP £44.99 PAID £14.99

EXTERIOR:
Nice accurate exterior with detailed headlights and tail lights. mesh behined front vents and generally good. not excellent though.

Interior:

Carpeted flooring and detailed engine, the general AUTOart drill.

73/100

Sounds to m liek you're trying to hijack my thread CCX :P hehe j/k
Not a bad idea, but its going to be difficult to give models a rating out of 100, since i'll be quite biased towards my new GMP (obviously 100/100 :P) and my jotas and such!

I also think maybe some pictures would make it a lot easier to see just what detail you might be referring to in your comments, for instance i forgot to mention my GMP Camaro has a perforated front grille, take a look back at the pics to see :)

Or go to diecastholics where they do proper reviews. lol

*plans on stealing bondy's brushed Camaro*

i love the model. detail isnt awesome, but hey, it's an aston martin le mans racer!
