Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 EVO II by AutoArt. This is one of the cars the AMG team campaigned during the 1992 DTM season. Driver was former F1 champ and "Flying Finn" Keke Rosberg.

Back in 1992, the olympic committee board was searching for a city to host the 2000 Olympic Games. In a effort to win the bid, the city of Berlin sponsored the AMG DTM Team for the 1992 season. In addition to the "BERLIN 2000" logos, the car was dressed with the signatures of many sporting notables of the time including Michael Schumacher, Franz Beckenbauer, and Niki Lauda. Although the AMG Team won the '92 DTM Title, Berlin lost their bid effort as the role of host city was awarded to Sydney.

Nice EVO 2!

First purchse for me in a good few months (been unable to buy any models for a while having had a few expenses plus saving for a new car)

Unfortunately can't get my own photo at the moment since my memory card was damaged.

Have you got your car?if so what car is it?Nice models everyone BTW :)

EDIT:That F40 is lovely J-PaP

I was deciding between the f40 and a 250gto as a "feature car" but decided to go with the f40 as it had more of a childhood significance for me. I didn't even know what a 250gto was back then.

Anyhow as for my new car. No I don't have it yet. Doing the math and assuming all goes well I will be looking to buy one either Jan-Feb 2010 or June-July 2010. To give you a clue it has a strong relation to this picture

That is correct. I missed out on one I would have definitely purchased since I started looking out of curiosity. Hopefully no others pop up between now and the new year. I have a feeling though I will be without a car for a good 6-12 months until I find the right one.

I guess I am double posting but it has been 3 days. Picked up another new model.

Kyosho 1:43 512bb (or bb512)

That almost completes my kyosho ferrari collection. Missing 4 more of the models being the f355, f360, gtb/4 (daytona) and a testarossa.

Unfortunate kyosho lost the Ferrari license. They're the best 1/43 models I own for the price.

Few newer Ferrari's I want to get but will probably have to resort to Redline models for those.

Blah, I am soo gonna get a new 1/18 car soon....
Anyway here are a couple recently acquired pre-built 1/72 scale tank models I got...
Forces of Valor US Army M1A2 Abrams on the left, Easy Model British Army Challenger II on the right:

And with a pair of 1/72 scale planes:

Left plane is a pre-built diecast Grumman F-14D by Dragon Wings, right plane is a plastic kit Rockwell OV-10D Bronco from Academy.

This is an update to previous post.

Just got a 1/18 Highway 61 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT-8. Although the pics are blah the model itself is an excellent diecast. Bout my only real complaint is the lack of metal disk brakes (A problem Minichamps also seems to have)...

Oh, and the rear suspension is a bit too low (compared to the real one), so I lowered the front to match :P

Here are just a small few of my collection of Diecast cars.

These are all Nascars, 1:24th scale, Action Diecast. I have probably thousands of Diecast cars, hope someone enjoys these few.

Most of these happen to be Earnhardt cars, I'm not a fanboy, these were just in a box I found while rearranging things today.

Just to show how far Nascar Diecast has come over the years, here is a '91 Alan Kulwiki Hooter's Thunderbird.

I know they aren't LMP or touring cars, but I collect lot's of them, hope someone enjoys to see them. Sorry they weren't all cleaned up as they should be.

^^ I'd love to have that Thunderbird. Kulwicki was a darn good driver.

Don't really have any of the high-dollar type stuff but here are a few I have on display around the house.

Wow you've got some nice diecast there. 👍

I like the detail work you did on the Maserati.

All your Action cars seem like they have better detail than mine, with the side window bracing and all. What are the "Home Town Edition" cars? I've never heard of them. Maybe I just need to take a closer look at mine, I dunno.

Thanks! The home town cars just had special packaging telling about where the driver's hometown was along with a short bio on them. The cars had a decal under the hood (You can probably see it under the hood). Only reason I got them is that they were on sale for $20 last time I went to the races.

That's awesome. Those cars are a STEAL for 20$ I've never even looked at Diecast prices at the races, I just figured they would be up somewhere orbiting the earth. I'll have to check now in February during Speedweeks.

I love that Ferrari 👍

I need deals like that.

Sorry for my bad photography and lack of detail shots, I could not get the lighting right.
All cars are 1:24 scale Action or Revell, the Twin Ring cars are Winners Circle. 👎

Well, I have some bad news...
Some of the models I had my dad bring out here got water damaged. Some only minor damage, which can be fixed with a good polishing, while others are so bad they will need to be stripped, sanded, and resprayed. While still others were perfectly fine, with some at most having a broken mirror. I blame the damage on my lack of foresight, since I did not anticipate the amount of rain my dad's truck would be exposed to once he got out here. And since bed covers aren't completely water-proof, it leaked and combined with high heat, caused the damage. Hopefully I get good enough at spray painting/air brushing to repaint the damaged ones, most likely to different colors anyway.

*EDIT*
After going through them, 10 need repaints, while around 10 or so just need a good polishing. About 10 others were undamaged.

Nice collection 👍 You're a fan of old Vee-Dubs then? There are some seriously good models of old Type 2s and Beetles going about.

Got this through the post yesterday:

DSC_3204.jpg

1:43 scale, it's the concept PT Panel Cruiser. Bought for the princely sum of about £6 including postage, which is quite impressive when all the other ebay sellers were offering it at around a tenner plus postage. I'll definitely be checking what else the seller I bought it off has.

A 1/43 Citroen C4 WRC.

Got it a while ago, but now i found the thread for it, so :)

Later this week or so i shoud be able to put my hands on the Focus WRC from this collection, too. I'd really like to have a bigger. more detailed one from the c4:tup:

While building a new model helicopter kit, I couldn't help but notice it was wide enough to fit a 1/43 scale car inside, sooo....

Mind you that helicopter (a 1/48 scale CH-53E Super Stallion) is a smaller scale than the 1/43 Minichamps 959 tucked inside :P
Oh, and there is a Minichamps 993 Turbo in front of the 959...
