That would be pretty sick when finished. You probably now, but if not, Spark did make Le Mans diorama.

Bit pricey though :grumpy:

How much? Looks like 1/43?

American Ebayers, you might want to keep an eye on an Oreca Viper GTS-R if you are a fan of it. There's currently one for $52 on Ebay. I don't really like buying from US sellers as they generally charge $40-50 for shipping.

I'm looking to build myself a model display cabinet. MAY incorporate a bookshelf too. Does anyone have any ideas or know of any good websites for guidance. I have about x20 1/18 models to display and x3 1/12 models along with some little treasures I have obtained like a couple parts (small) off v8 supercars

Any help will be greatly appreciated

That's only about a third of my 1:18s, I'll share as many details and take some more photos after I've had a sleep. Check back in about 2 hours.

EDIT: Doing it now actually. Check back in 15 mins.

Autoart 2008 DBR9 & Norev 1978 Renault Alpine A442

Spark 1992 Pug 905 (with broken wing) & Norev (I think) 2008 Pug 908HY

Minichamps 2008 & 2009 Pug 908HDI FAP (and 1:43 Williams FW14 from a mag)

Can't remember makes 1995 F1 GTR & 911 GT1-98 (and a Clio Maxi I think made by Spark)

Unknown Make 993 GT1 1996 & Autoart 1970 917K

Autoart 1970 917LH + 1970 917K from the film 'Le Mans'

Minichamps 956L 1983 & TrueScale Miniatures 1979 935 K3 (and a 1986 961 by Minichamps I think)

Minichamps 1973 917/30 & Autoart 1970 908/2 Flounder

2 old Maijisto CLK DTMs, Minichamps Sauber and 2006 Honda (limited edition Button first win with figure), Hot Wheels Ferrari F2008 and 2009 F60.

And for the hell of it the rest of my motorsport/Gulf themed bedroom;

Ex Donington park Goodyear banner and a 917 print.

Signed Jean Christophe-Boullion 1995 Williams nomex shirt, ex-factory Porsche Interseries poster from 1973.

My own made Gulf pillow with a patch sent by Gulf themselves and my Ford GT40 advert print (top left but cut out of shot)

Sorry they're all crappy phone camera pics.

908 HY is indeed a Norev, the F1 GTR is a Guiloy, the 911 GT1-98 is a Maisto, and the 1996 911 GT1 is a UT Models (UT later became AUTOart).
Anyway a random older pic:

Maybe tonight I will take some new pics...
Actually now that I think about it, I never did a group pic of ALL of my race cars, both sports car and open wheel...

Not completely satisfied with these. I blame not that great eyesight leading to some guesswork with the focusing and the breezy weather from the outdoors making me shiver a little. That and average lighting conditions. :P

Then I found a 1998 Mercedes CLK-GTR on Ebay in perfect condition for just £12. Even if it is made by Maisto, it's still a very solid model and the only CLK-GTR with better quality is the AutoART CLK-GTR, which is a whopping $450.

That same night I placed a £7 bid on the 1998 2nd place Porsche 911 GT1 and won the auction. I probably won it because everyone is going after the winning #26 GT1. And that one is going for $50 and upwards. I've even seen them at $80 with a highest price of $115. Even if it is a Le Mans winning car, it's still made by Maisto. And I'm not paying anything over $30-40 for a model made by Maisto. The #26 GT1 might pop up cheaper in the future.

Is this what you've been looking for?
:sly:

I'm so in love with that 917 it's crazy. I have a 2 meter wide poster of two 917 long tails on my wall too :sly: Next is the 956 I think... But I'm not buying anymore this month.

Man that hippie 917 is outta this world!
Great pics guys, loving this thread. :)

By the way, do the wheels on Spark models rotate?
Im thinking of getting a Spark model but something bothers me tremendously about models with non-moving wheels.

The wheels roll, but they do not steer on Spark models.

That 917 is sick! More info pl0x!

It's an AutoArt, Porsche 917 'Long Tail'. This was entered in 1970 by the Martini Racing Team, #3. It has a 4.5l flat 12. Finished second place with Gérard Larrousse (French) and Willi Kauhsen (German) behind the wheel.
