Man the Carrera GT looks stunning in that colour!

Did you manually add a reflection or were those models placed on some glass on top of white paper? :dopey:

Nice man. Growing up with this gen of Porsche, I always preferred the way the looked to the 997.

How are they for reliability? Heard some scary stuff.

Having a scale model of this alongside my 996 RSR would be super...

Owned the C4S.
I'd love to own one again that didn't clean out my wallet. It it the BEST driver car I have ever owned and it made me use both hands on the steering wheel driving again. I used to be a one handed casual driver but since then, and Ive been driving for >30 years, I now always have 2 hands on the wheel.

This one had things breaks that you wouldnt expect to happen until it was 20 or so years old. So I decided to sell it after 2 years ownership. Got myself a 2nd gen Audi TT V6. No problems so far.

Got a 1:18 Hotwheels Elite A-Team Van today.

HWE have really stepped up, seeing their recent releases. Good buy. 👍
Lots of sexiness on the last couple of pages!

My newest purchase arrived today from HK:

Raced at the Nurburgring 24? Made by Ebbro right? Looks great and loving the graphics pack, but the wheels seem to have alot of lip.
I ordered a car participating in the 2010 race, will post up when it comes!

Yes, it's a new release from Ebbro. The tyres look good in this one, should be the camera. That's the one thing I don't like about the road car: the rims and tyres.

Looking forward to your pics!

The detail is amazing for HW. The shop I got this from also had a HWE Ecto 1 im thinking of getting, but there is also an Australian Highway Patrol Police Car I want to get aswell as numerous land speed cars, lemans cars, touring cars and road cars. I need more money.

Very nice! Now you need the LFA :D

Thanks :) But I'm ahead of you there ;) I've got the Minichamps 2010 #51 but it has been dropped in the factory I assume and I'm not really happy with the finish. At least I got it rather cheap.

But I'm looking for a replacement as soon as I got the 2012 SuperGT GT300 triple a Vantage and possibly the BR-Z and Prius from the same year.

However I still haven't got a LFA I'm 100% happy with. Hm.

Anyone have an AutoArt Lexus LFA (non-Nuremburg) in their collection? Or can anyone else give me their opinions on it?!

Have the chance to buy one for a good price from someone local, but want to know what the quality of it is before jumping on it.

Seeing one in person at Taiwan model shops it seems nice. But for the price of $160US, I passed. Autoarts are pricey nowadays.
And speaking of Autoart, I still lament the fact that they've stopped making the C6R Corvette and CTS-V race cars.

AutoArt Signature series 1:18 - Nissan 390R

Outstanding quality, very nice model that recently joined my now fast growing collection of scale-model cars.

Please don't quote ALL pics.

Completed in time for the 1997 24 Hours of Le Mans, the three black and red R390 GT1s were fast in their first competition, with Martin Brundle taking pole position in May's pre-qualifying with a staggering time of 3.43.15. At the race itself, one R390 GT1 (#22) was able to qualify in 4th on the grid and 2nd in its class behind a Porsche 911 GT1, while its partners qualified 12th (#21) and 21st(#23).
During the race both cars were able to perform admirably, but soon began to struggle with gearbox problems and, around halfway through the race, two of the three R390s (#21 & #22) finally succumbed to mechanical failure and were withdrawn. The third R390 was able to survive the rest of the race (albeit with two complete gearbox changes along the way) finishing 12th overall and 5th in class, although many laps down from the race winners. For 1998, Nissan returned, this time with four R390 GT1s. The cars were slightly upgraded, with more downforce able to be generated by a longer rear tail, and a new rear wing placement for less drag. Although Nissan was easily beaten in qualifying by Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz, Nissan was able to achieve considerable success in the race.
As an achievement of its own, all four cars were able to finish the race. With this, Nissan was able to finish 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 10th overall, being beaten only by the Porsche 911 GT1.
Following the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, rules for the GT classes were changed, mostly to end the amount of manufacturers attempting to use loopholes. This meant Nissan was forced to abandon the R390 as it was no longer legal. Nissan instead turned to the LMP classes, developing the R391 prototype for 1999. This program would also be short lived and Nissan would end up leaving Le Mans.
A total of eight R390 GT1 race chassis were built over the two years of the program.

I'm not surprised, glad I was able to get it locally and for a better price. Still costly though :(

Need a way to clean the tyres, thinking of some sticky tape or one of those sticky rollers used on clothing.

I see some very nice model cars comming along. But do you guys have criteria about what fits in your collection, and what doesn't. As for me it looks sometimes as if everybody just buys whatever looks nice that day your wallet is filled.
No disrespect meant, everybody collects what he likes offcourse. But it looks like a neverending story with no limits at all for a simple bystander. :)

I try to collect some sub-sets in the whole of all model cars out there to limit myself, and make it easier to sort off "complete" my collection.
Every now and then i offcourse expand the limits of what i collect for a special modelcar or i expand the borders for a sub-set i also like. If i encounter a very nice model car it could mean i will want more models of that same car.

I have all ebbro premium models(1:20 and 1:24) excluding the bikes and the small japanese city cars on a bigger scale. And i collect a lot of the models of the alfa romeo 155(Complete enough right now as this is a limitless set with all the modifications around), the honda s2000 and i have a weak spot for the older alfa romeo's.
These include the BAT cars, the sportiva, the tz2 (wich i won't collect to get complete) Also i have a lot of models of the older honda f1 cars. (1960-1968).

Just wondering, because buying every nice looking latest autoart that is out there will eventualy fill up any space you got. And i got a lot of modelcars even with the boundaries i put down.

1:43 only. SuperGT, VLN, plain body GT cars (in descending order). Ebbro, Spark and the odd other manufacturer if I really, really fancy the car.

My wallet wall is 60€ a pop.

At least that's the plan ;)

No boundaries as of yet. I think if I limited myself to something I'd get upset not being able to find a particular car in a scale model. I've tried getting my real life cars and had to "bend the rules" on my 3 Escorts and I cant find a Toyota Carina.

Offcourse if you commit yourself to one serie and you find one more model that you don't have. Well, yes, than you have to get it. :scared:

Ebbro/Tomica/Tomytec Nissan Skyline Silhouette but unlike the already collected car this one is the early 1983 version.

Here together with its later version which i already had.

Both in 1:24.

And i bought some cm's 1/64 cars i didn't have yet. These are two of the rarer ones.

That is the best angle I've seen this car in  You nailed this one! 👍

Interesting question wich I ask myself quite a lot. What am I collecting? Obviously Porsches but for now only in 1:18. To be honoust I'm not collecting for that long now, stopped when I went to high school but the fever is back! I'm looking at others cars and thinking; I want, but wich Porsche do I still need? That's a pretty hard question since there are a lot of Porsches  I don't know, I really don't..

But if I would have to go with a theme, I'd say: racing cars. From rally to DTM, from WEC to F1, Super GT's, you name it.

If I would have to make a quick list:
Porsche 935/78
Porsche 908/02
Porsche 956 or 962
Porsche 936/77
Nissan R390 (like AMG's, only the #23 car)
Toyota GT-One (if I could find one)
Mazda 787b
Mercedes CLK GTR
BMW V12 LMR
Audi R18
Peugeot 905
Peugeot 908
Toyota TS030
Nissan GTR Super GT
Ford GT40-MK2
Lamborghini LP560 Super Trofeo
Pescarolo Judd
Matra Simca
Zytek Nissan
Aston Martin LMP1
... and so on. Mainly endurance racing cars I guess.

After that I think I'm going to collect more street spec cars, like Ford Escort RS500 or maybe even stock street cars. Maybe first some Group A cars, V8 Supercars, WTCC, BTCC... Or would 'I collect race cars' be enough? :dopey:

Yup, same collecting theme here for my 43's. Mostly V8's so far but looking to expand to that! I am slowly moving from 18's to 43's.
When I first started collecting 18's I just got anything so trying to get a theme for them now is hard. :scared:

And speaking of V8Supercars, see if you guys can spot something 2 things amiss with the white HRT car:

I don't see the off-part?? :scared:

The 'Hm' says it all :sly:

*edit wrong stuff*

The white car needs white rims.

And maybe it has to be number 22?

Or maybe 2 is good?

No idea. :)

Driver names in the wrong order on the car?
