I swear this is sinister as hell, how much did you grab it for if ya dont mind telling us? :)

Still waiting for it to arrive. :(

The latest addition to my 911 collection is this UT Models 993 GT2
Mad respect there, great theme cant go wrong with a 911 collection. Planning on grabbing a 991 GT3/2 when it debuts?

Holy hell that is insane 👍

I went over to grab a Kyosho F40 that I'd been eyeing off and saw this and thought exactly the same as you guys:tup: I picked it up for $200 dollars mate, the store near my house has quite a few of the earlier releases still available, I've got a 1981 Dick Johnson Tru-Blu Falcon waiting for me over there, the owner couldn't find the COA when I went to purchase it, he called a couple of days ago saying he'd found it, now I've got to find some time to go grab it and then try and pry the Apex Tru-Blu back from my Dad:lol:
The grass is only slightly out of scale :sly:
Nice pics and models 👍

Yeah I really should have mowed first:lol:

Thanks mate, and that F50 looks great, especially with the Zonda R:drool:
Imagine those two in a race:eek:

Latest addition to my 911 collection is the 964 Carrera RS 3.8 from GT Spirit. It was more expensive than the Autoart 964 Carrera RS, but I feel like it shouldn't be. It's a top quality model, the details are amazing, and the paint is top notch, but you can't open any doors or turn the wheels. That was somewhat of a let down to me.

Put in an offer for this last night. Kinda hoped it would get declined but woke up to it being accepted..... Bugger

Not sure where I'm gonna put it.....

That's how I've won a couple of things. Threw out a low ball offer just to see where the sellers head was at, and ended up buying it. At least you can say you got a good deal on it, that's what I tell my GF when she asks why I bought something

Would like to ask...how uncommon is the light blue Maisto 1:18 911 993 Cabrio? I remember seeing one at my local flea market for maybe...$7? Open but seemed to possibly have some scuffs. Unfortunately, I haven't checked the flea market in a while, so I don't know if it's still there. :indiff: Really do feel like I'm falling for the 911...especially 993s.

I'd say that's about right. I got a light green 993 Cab for $10 new nearly 10 years ago. :)

I'll take a picture of all my 911s together one of these days. I'm waiting on my final addition, a 993 Carrera RS Clubsport in Riviera Blue.

Pretty angry right now. Got a GT3 RS MkII shipped from Germany and upon arrival it was loose in the box. It has completely ripped off the base, the spoiler and side mirror is off, windshield is cracked, and there are scratches all over. :(

Fortunately it wasn't super expensive. The box was clearly marked (in German at least) that the contents are fragile so I'm gonna have to yell at the USPS.

Did you pay through credit card or PayPal or anything? I wouldn't accept that at all.

I don't understand how it broke off either, its held on there pretty tight and would take a huge drop to break the screws loose.

I paid with Paypal, I contacted the seller for a refund.

I'd say half the blame is the shipping companies, both the German and the US ones (and customs), and the other half is the model car company for only securing it down with screws. Most other brands would use a plastic band, tape, or wiring to secure to the base.

Yeah, looking at the pic it seems it might not have been screwed to the base properly at the factory because there is no way it could have ripped itself off. I have seen this before where they were lazy and barely screwed it in. That or the threading in the holes on the car are bad.

The seller should really check that the item is secured properly to the base before posting and put strips over the doors, bonnet etc.

Well the seller is refusing a refund/ return. This can get messy...

So I sucked it up and decided I'm not going to fight it. A little glue and paint (and photoshop) does the trick. :) If it bothers me in the future that it isn't in "perfect" shape, I'll replace it. Otherwise it's gonna be sitting in a display case for years and no one but me will even notice.

I would not accept their decision to not give at least a partial refund. Open a case in Paypal and demand at least a partial payment back. Although it doesn't bother you now, if you ever decide to sell it later on you'll find out quickly how much value it lost being sent to you like that.

Do you mind disclosing who the seller is if you bought it from a store online, so that I can be careful in the future when buying models?

There's a few models that I'm considering buying; unfortunately it seems like the German places all have the best prices outside of a few lucky postings on eBay, even with shipping factored in.

Good luck SPhilli.

I finaly found enough courage or beer :dunce: to fit the replacement wirewheels i ordered to my 1:18 ABC Brianza Alfa Romeo Sportiva. (The old onces but one were destroyed when the car was shipped to me long ago)
I carefully removed the remainders from the old ones with pliers from the axles.

Build quality is not very well, the wheels still won't survive another shipping i guess. And the wheel nuts were attaced to the axles with plenty of thick brown gue.

The model looks like it is entering a bank of 20 degrees. But i don't dare putting force on it to correct this.

The flash highlights more brown glue than i saw before, so this is not as disturbing as it looks here.

I now have finaly a complete sportiva...

Also the certificate doesn't appear to be included too?

Seller knew the issues and included the broken bits in an envelope and forgot to send the certificate.......

Sellers offered a full refund.
