Always wanted a Superleggera but want something different from the norm.

Few people might know i have a friend that runs a race team and for years we raced against a superleggera that was getting used like it should have been.

Car was bought brand new and later on that day it was at a trackday, A week later it was lined up on the grid in the SMRC Sports and Saloons race.

Did well for a standard car although did have to be driven on the limit which did involve a few spectacular off's. Not easy when you're racing 600-850 bhp evo's and cossies

Body kit is horrible, but the model is great. The only complaint is the shiny paint. With the damage and wear, I would have gone over it with a flat clear to dull it down a bit.

For the JDM lovers.

Ebbro EK9 in Yellow with championship white Wheels, 1:43 scale.

Ebbro DC2 ITR Silver with championship white wheels, 1:43 scale.

That Superleggera looks amazing, great detail work:drool:
Awesome pair of Honda's to TorqueHappens:tup:

I really wish someone would make the EK9 Civic and DC2 JDM Integra Type R in 1/18.

Closest thing I can find is some riced out Hot Wheels from the 90's. :indiff:

Only good 1/18 EK9 Civic Type R I know of is a sealed resin model made by Frontiart. And it is expensive -___-
I am amazed AUTOart never did one...

Same. I was actually really hoping they would after the release of the RSX/Integra and CRX, but it just never happened.

I hear you on that, Hell, even the 1:43 Type R civic costs nearly 80$ while the championship white ones run 103$ and up, i don't want to know how much the 1:18 scale model costs.

I love my 1:18 models, but i like 1:43 more because they have cars that are not available in 1:18, like alot of JDM jems.

That Rapide looks awesome! Who makes it?

Picked up the 458 Italia around a month ago, but never got around to getting pictures. But also stopped by Walmart to have a look around and came across the 2013 SRT Viper and this!

Found the 2014 Corvette C7! (Convertible...) Both are part of the assembly line. Was thinking of getting the Viper instead, but I already had the 1:18 scale model. And despite my preferences towards the coupe...the convertible would be and is easier to work with for the assembly. Also glad they gave a black wheel option rather than the usual chrome option.

Quick question.

Which is better?

Autoart Red Bull X1
Autoart 787B stealth
Autoart GTR stealth
Autoart McLaren F1 stealth

I'm thinking of buying one of the above

I remembered this question when i walked on our modelcar fair earlier today and saw the 787b stealth. Plus the price tag of €146,- It was new in its box and now i have it standing here including the very nice GT helmet. :)
I didn't bother trying to get the price down, since all other stealth cars had prices in the €2xx,- range.

I also saw the 33 stradale from autoart and altough i am probably going to buy one sooner or later i let two of them return to the shell because it looked like a paint problem was on the front hood of the car. Asif the red paint was to matte or so. It could be down to it being pretty hot inside, but i couldn't bring myself to spending €126 on a car i wasn't sure about.

I am very happy with the 787B stealth tough, it is everybit as nice as was mentioned here. Very nice model car!

Congratulations are in order i think. Did you converted that car?

Amazing stuff in that gallery especially in the war diorama's.

It was converted for me I entered it into the contest on behalf of the guy that build it for me as I wanted him to get some recognition for the work he did on it.

He was only supposed to do the decals for it then it was to be sent to someone else for a respray but that fell through so this guy managed to create the decals from just pictures, then did a complete respray then custom made the interior and scratch built the roll cage.

When they did the awards some of the models around had the commendable and highly commendable awards so I thought it had been shunned again because the base model is diecast and not plastic but when I went back a few minutes later I seen the trophy next to it.

The first thing the guy asked me was if it was the only one entered as he didn't believe it would win

Got a few ideas for next year :)

Maybe i should enter my S2000 AP2 or the V70R next year. ;-)

Both involved quite heavy adjustments.
The S2000 has a custom rear and front bumper, head and rear lights and was painted in the correct color.
The V70R was made from a v70 and a S60R wich also involved quite some skills.
None of wich i possesed, but the guy who made them does. ;-)

No worries, to far away to compete. :-P

Sweet S2k, I want one too. 👍

^ You've got some of the miniature models that were once present in time-honoured races in Japan.

I just bought my first Minichamp model, almost got a CMC Ferrari for about $200 but someone jumped at the last moment. It's better that way since I'm not really ready to drop nearly $300 in models right now. I'll be happy with my 1/18 SLS though!

Does anyone here have some idea on V8 Supercars? I will explain below what I'm after and my concerns.

Pre-orders, do they charge full amount then or when they ship? NASCAR ones normally charge as ship but I don't know about v8's really since I've only bought instock.

I'm hoping to find 1/43 DJR retro schemes from 2012/2013.

Im pretty sure that the 2012 DJR Retro cars have sold out it most shops Wilbur. I think for the 2012 car ebay is your best chance. As for the 2013 car on pre order it depends on where you buy it. Some will take no money off you at all some will want a small deposit while others will want the car paid in full.
