I have a question for someone here, does anyone know if any of the Audi R8 LMS' can be customized into the Flying Lizard 2014 car, or 2013 Rum Bum Racing? I have never owned any of those models but really want to get those made.

If you know the right people it could be possible. Probably for a very high price too...
Don't think I can help you with this. I like the question though as I have two Flying Lizard cars already.

Gathered the rest of my modern LMP cars for some images this weekend. I was too lazy to assemble the 787b and include that one :P

That said, the AutoART #18 Mazda 787b has the most features in my collection. But the best finish is my Spark TWR Porsche. Even comparing it to my Spark Audi R18 it looks as if Spark had a moment of brilliance manufacturing the TWR Porsche, it looks that good!

Didn't think RMZ City brought the 86/FR-S 1/36 scale to the US. (Was originally tempted to buy one on eBay...) Found one at the flea market for $3!

Not my pic, but the same color. (Not a fan of the color, but worth it for the model!)

So, I’ve just bought myself the Pocher Lambo Aventador scale 1:8 and investigating the possibility of add lights to this model, which I'm in the process of building once I've got the lighting system worked out.

http://www.hornby.com/shop/pocher

I’ve scoured the web to find pictures or videos of the turn signals, daylight running lights and parking lights but alas either my searching skills are poor or the info on the web is poor.

When looking at the head light unit to me it looks like the Outer most “bulb” is the main/hi beam light, the light shaped like the letter Y is daylight running and the 7 (4+3) small lights on the inner edge are the turnsignal lights. Can someone confirm this is so.

Oh man that's awesome! I remember you showed it off when they announced it. Must look absolutely nuts next to your F40 when it's done. Are you making it like they showed it or are you going with different colours?

You are probably right about the headlights, I don't think I can find you a better example :D

Hi Carlos, thx for the reply & pic. As far as painting goes I will be detailing the engine and insides but leaving the outer shell as is in Orange. Despite having done an airbrushing course in Almere I'm not about to tackle such large areas of paint by first stripping the metal bare. Just don't trust myself in that way. Adding lighting system to it is already a challenge as I have no clue how to do that in such a way that I can use a remote to trigger the functions. Luckily I have help.

If it all works out I might take pics along the way and show it on GTP.

This is a draft of the circuit I will need to build. In the software most of it works but still trying to work out the indicator lights and the day run lights. Thankfully I found a member on another forum willing to help me out to understand what is required to build such a scheme. At the moment half the stuff I don't understand, but learning it is the fun part.

Edit: it seems that on their website (Pocher) they are also showing some additional colours AND a roadster version too.

These three cars arrived today.

They were just left on the front door by the USPS. Grrrr, it's suppose to be delivery confirmation, not just left out front, where it was seen by everyone passing by. Someone could have just walked up and taken it. Thankfully crime is fairly low and it didn't sit outside for too long before I got home from work.

Anyways, it's the Otto BMW 750iL, AutoArt Mazda 787B and the AutoArt Mercedes 190E Evo II.

Mazda 787B

I've loved the story of the 787B, and how it's the first and only Japanese car so far to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and how it's the only rotary to ever win it. That, plus the iconic livery and the fact that I think it looks fantastic has made me want this for a long time, though I didn't splurge for it. This is my first AutoArt Signature model, but I think there's a ton of details and the model feels solid. This is one that I would proudly display.

On the 787B, the antennas were included, but I didn't install them as I haven't decided on a permanent place to display the model yet, and I want to minimize the possible damage to something as thing and fragile as that.

I find it a terrible shame that no one has made a Monaco GP Lotus E21 yet. I mean, seriously.

Anyway, got outbid on a Maisto Corvette C7 today. Kinda annoyed as it was £5.99 due to major paint damage so it was gonna be a customising base for the C7 GT concept from SEMA

hey guys, kinda new to this side of the planet, but just wondering if this thread is only for pre made die cast and plastic models eg. auto art, biante, burago, ect.
or is it for diy kits too? because im currently working on a r32 gtr that i want to show off, but i want to post in the right thread.
and i dont really want to lurk through 300+pages :boggled:

thanks guys, and some good looking stuff!

No, that's fine too. It's literally just scale models of whatever (although we do have separate threads for the collecting and customising of Hotwheels/Matchbox/any 1:64 cars)

just a quick scale modeling note, i cant say a bad thing about tamiya paints, spray or brush on. definitely worth the money. not advertising, just saying. also, ill have a build progress image post later on the R32 GTR

There's a specific thread for model kits, although posting the pics in this thread is fine as well.

Nice set. Just wondering are the doors openable on the Gran Turismo Skyline GT-R?
