Lidl_cabinet.jpg

From Thursday 18th December LIDL will have their display cabinets available. There are, as before, two sizes available.
1. Large, Beech-effect or white. H110 x W68 x D20. Lockable glass doors and ten height-adjustable glass shelves. £59.99 or two for £100.00
2. Small, Beech-effect only. H50 x W63 x D18. Glass door with magnetic closure and five heigh-adjustable glass shelves. £29.99 of two for £50.00.
Thank you so much for this heads up. I was looking for for a display case for years and even thought about building one by myself. But now that I have seen this I had to go and get it.

DIY frames!

RIBBA+on+wall.jpg

I've got 2 of these on my wall. They're made from IKEA's RIBBA picture frames, and I made the grid with foamcore. Got the idea from @R1600Turbo. They can hold 1:64 cars of certain size. The depth of the picture frame limits cars with wider bodies.

Hopefully!:dopey: I haven't been up with it lately, but I want to start collecting again. Although I'd rather save up for a more expensive model than just get a few cheaper ones:lol:

You big money spender, you. I don't buy 1\18 cars often because a) lack of space and b) save my money. The ones I have now are mostly gifts by my parents and perhaps one or two cars I bought myself. Still proud of them though, I did get a really good bargain once...

Yes, it's great just to look at them and their detail!

Oh! Big, big, big, big, big freakin' mistake to come in here again. Just too many likes for my wrist to handle!

And the jealousy is killing me.

All I wanted to do was drop in for a moment with some wishful thinking:

Wouldn't it be nice if they were 1:18s? Or even 1:24s?

Maybe one day some Japanese diecast company comes up with a VGT line of cars, who knows? Kyosho is losing the Ferrari license, so they have space for some new lines...

Also, yeah this thread is very dangerous. For you wallet, that is.

Kyosho never lost their Ferrari license, as they only have a non-exclusive license for a specific price range. Hot Wheels is the one losing their exclusive license, which covered budget up to $150-ish. They chose not to renew the license due to cost apparently.

Well they did it with the 787B Stealth Model, so there is no reason why they can't do it with this!

Yeah, especially the second shot - if not for the slightly uplifted right rear wheel . . though that could be taken as motion, too.

That Rolls is driving me nuts.

Hope that the LM55 is made. I'd get it in a tick.
I love having models of the cars I drive in Gran Turismo.

Hey, the open top Aston LMP! Didn't remember they had that one, really nice car. Looks like you had a good time purchasing all the 2014 Le Mans winners, good for you. :)
