HW Elite 599xx evo
Anybody got one of them and can tell me if it's a good model. :)

While I don't have the 599XX or Evo, I do have a regular 599 GTO and I think it is a pretty damn good model. I have heard from others that both versions of the 599XX are quite good though, even better than the GTO.
Oh, and here is a pic of every model I got in 2014:

Dat Focus looks pretty damn nice. And seeing that Maisto Cobra R makes me regret not getting the AA one oh so many years ago -__-
Yeah, I don't know much about 1/18 diecasts, but quality seems nice on the Focus(roughly $50). I did run into the AutoArt Cobra R listing, I think on eBay. You & me both! :D

edit: sorry, misinterpreted thread parameters. Disregard this post.

I do have a nice Bandai 1/20th Stratos kit I still haven't built, however.

Ferrari 641/2 from Exoto, just beautiful.
Will post more of my collection soon.
Any tips for "cleaning and maintenance"?
I've seen some guys using gloves for those Exotos and I'm not sure if I should use gloves too

That is a sexy Ferrari you got there...
If only Exoto's didn't cost an arm and a leg these days...

As far as using gloves, IMO that is overkill. Not like these models are museum pieces, no matter how expensive they are. Fingerprints can be rubbed off with a fine cloth, or if you really want, a good polish. That and I'd imagine gloves could snag on photoetched bits and pieces like logos and what not a lot easier than bare hands. That and it seems like they would be slipperier. Model's ain't too good with falls after all :P
And I couldn't help but notice your avatar is Yellow 13... A fellow Ace Combat fan?

And I need to do some model pic taking in the morning. Got a shiny new display case today, which I promptly filled up with my LM racers.

Indeed, there are some critical spots where the glove can leave some residue, mostly the lock joints you see on the side of the car. I'll grab a microfiber cloth, the same we use to clean our sunglasses, should do the job withouth leaving scratches if needed.
I'm pretty sure those are not decals, sponsors are painted on the chassis, the level of detail is amazing!
Got this for the price of 303€, including shipment and I won the auction of the tipo 500 F2 Mike Hawthorn (one of my personal favourite classic grand prix drivers, beautiful car, I've seen live the CMC model but this Exoto, maybe for the fire engine red, literally blows the CMC away) for 240€.
Next one Exoto? Probably Gilles' T4 once I got the money.
Will post better photos once I get the tipo 500 and I'll add a 512M from Hot Wheels elite (another beautiful piece, not an Exoto, but still great).

I bet you're Venom from AC Skies...I'm Falco d'acciaio.

Yes, yes I am the same venom from ACS
But yes, microfiber cloths are awesome for cleaning models. I use them myself lol
And Exoto only uses tampo painted decals, no waterslide decals like on many other models (mainly resin models).

*EDIT*
New display case, and it is all filled up with LM cars:

AUTOart and Spark?
Beautiful collection, I'm a big fan of prototypes too but my main love are Ferrari F1s, speaking about prices I see 3/4 Exotos here, but "used" model of course, I still think it's better an used but mint item than a brand new one, you won't regret to open the package and drop the value since it's already opened and you have to worry less about "oh my god it's new"
I really really need something like a big display case but I want to make sure to give a full view of the model so more like a showcase, anti-dust, since it's probably the biggers enemy of those quite complex models.
Despite I'm a big fan of AC and aviation in general I have something like 6 scale model planes and Micro Machines military, I don't like to collect aircrafts!

Several brands actually. AUTOart and Spark are a couple, along with Kyosho, Maisto, and Universal Hobbies.

First column:
AUTOart 2991 Mazda 787B
AUTOart 2003 Bentley Speed 8
Maisto 1998 Porsche 996 911 GT1-98 (Plan on replacing with a Spark version soon)
Spark 1992 Mazda MXR-01
AUTOart 1999 Toyota GT-One TS020
Universal Hobbies 1988 Porsche 962C (Eventually will be replaced by a Spark or AUTOart one)

Second column:
Spark 1992 Peugeot 905 Evo1 Bis
Kyosho 1999 BMW V12 LMR
Spark 2005 Audi R8 FSI
AUTOart 1997 Nissan R390 GT1
AUTOart 1998 Panoz Esperante GTR-1
Maisto 1999 Audi R8R

Not fancy the AA Porsche GT1?
Only one AA is making is the 1997 model, the first 996 styled one. It ain't out yet, though I do want to get it when it does come out. I do have a plain body UT 1996 993 style one though.

*EDIT*
Some pics of stuff

And... a GT90 lol:

GT90 is a Maisto, and I plan on doing some serious detail work to it, including quite possibly a repaint to a different color.

Got a Giant MmLD SLR mclaren in the mail today(1:12)(10 ibs)(18" long) scale, as my first 1:12 model, and after seeing pictures on here and other diecast forums, i was not prepared for the sheer size of 1:12 models.

we have pics when my new camera comes in. also got to Gate 1:18 model kit 911 porsches(convertible and coupe) and a Autoart Fairlady Z.

I plan on getting the Kyosho 1:12 F40 next.

The SLR is a BIG car in 1:1 and it's absolutely huge in 1:12.

NEED HELP GUYS!
So, I got this Ferrari 500 F2 Exoto, bought at 240€ (270$, 178£) (eBay, via paypal, professional seller)
Listed as used but withouth imperfections, the steering is broken and you can clearly see those missing paint chips.
Now the seller wants to full refund me BEFORE I ship the model back to him.
But I want to keep the model (c'mon it's an Exoto and it looks still gorgeous) so I was thinking about some other options:
Keep the model and ask for a partial refund (but...how much?)
Keep the model and receive another one or add a bit on the difference so it's basically like getting a discount on another purchase.
What do you suggest, and how much would be big this refund?

So what I can see (which is not a lot) you have one paint chip in front of the "8" and to me it looks like a rubber hose has come off the brass part seen on the wheel side. (Perhaps something you can fix)
Does he have an exact replacement?
Do you want a perfect condition one or can you live with the chip?
What would you find acceptable as a refund (and give him a good score) 10%, 20%, 80%?

Those are just 3 questions you'll need to answer for yourself.

Discount on future model from him - hmmm - how to guarantee he'll remember? And how certain are you you will buy from him again...

Once you figure out the answers to that contact the seller to discuss.
