I used two backdrops. You get to see the black bristol board first.

1:18 Kyosho Shelby Cobra 427 S/C

Bought second hand off some other dude. Wasn't kept in the best condition, and the front left rim has some weird thing going on with it.

But hey, it was $80. Not bad for a Kyosho?

ok so the guy was pretty fast, payed on wednestday, shipped on saturday...
From germany, tracking code: DEXXXXXXXXXXXX, X for a number, any idea of what kind of shipment?
Should be tracked and with insurance, maybe it's fully covered by DHL and not by our postal
service...

[update] it's a DHL packet international, now it's just a matter of time

Nice! The rim looks fine to me but maybe it's just the pic

I hid it well in those photos. We'll see how it holds up now:

 you can see the two bubbles now.

Yep, the other front rim has scratches too, but still a great catch, but I swear I've never even seen a new model without little imperfections. That's why sometimes I prefer a used but minty one.

Recently I have discovered AutoArt's new product line of "composite" models. What is the difference between the new composite models and the ones they already make? Will the prices change? I'd be looking forward to a cheaper AutoArt cars.

@AOS- This 1:24 testarossa has bubbles too, I'm planning to hang on the wall some monocoques from old models; this poor one was from a 1:24 Bburago, the chassis is fine except from the front drive shaft, broken.

@Vitocorp, The circular chrome strip on the wheel has two bubbles. The piece is brittle and I don't exactly have a way to replicate chrome paint. Aerosol cans don't ever do it.

I could easily sand off, and repaint the entire body of that 250 if I were you. All that is lost is the decals (though you can just grab some off another kit).

Well, since there's no chance to fully repair it, I'll just glue some broken parts and put it on the wall just as it is now or make a diorama.
I don't want to spend money on model which require critical repairs now, after 2 Exotos I want to give a break, the next model will be the 312T2 from Hot Wheels Elite.

THIS 250 GTO deserves some restoring, has been without cover on my shelf for a looong time, it's dusty, has lots of minor scratches, some paint chips on the rear are missing and both the doors are a bit messed up.
Still surprisingly good condition in my opinion since she survived against both my childhood (I played a lot with this model) and my mom (no doubt a great teacher but she's a bad housewife, she managed to crash and destroy 3 planes from my dad collection while cleaning the house  ).

@AMG, I've used it before. It's probably the best it gets with replicating chrome, but even that has its limits.

That's the BMF on the wheels.

Thanks for the reminder though. I forget I had that stuff.
