Hey guys, bought a Dealer BMW M3 GTR in a nice green off of eBay recently. Its a really nice model, my heaviest model by far (heavier than my 1:12 Silvia!). Its got great detail, and the box is nice too, it was £45 including delivery etc. Sorry about the quality of the pics, and I'll post a pic of the box some time soon.

im thinking of selling some of my older/less desirable models, for i wanna monopolise on muscle cars and some more expensive models. i wont be getting rid of any ertl/autoart/minichamps/ut models but surely the maisto ones will go along with some bburago. if any1 is interested i might start putting them up on ebay. (depends if i can be bothered to pull my finger out and when i get time!)

I've been waiting for about half a week now.
Hopefully Ferrari of Dallas won't charge me $48 for the MC12 and $30 for the F430 unlike the State Fair.

Plus, I can't wait until the Dallas Auto Show in March.
I get 2 new McLaren models and hopefully a 1964 Lamborghini 350GT Coupe.

aha i bought it from a sweet big model store about 20 miles away from me.
Its made by beanstalk just like the other colours, but i picked up a yellow one and said ' have u got this in the gulf colours? you know the light blue and orange?'
and they did! so that was well worth the money, i think i paid £20 GBP for it. there is a slight defect in the paintwork but its still uber sweet. ill post pics of the defect 2moro.

I just realized that tobacco livery isn't appearing on model cars at all nowadays. Anyone know why that is?

I'm rather worried as me and my dad were planning to get an AUTOart car before the end of the year, but I also eyed this Michael Schumacher #1 F2003 Winning car (there were two different ones, maybe a f2001-f2002 one as well), and I was hoping to have Marlboro on it, and maybe another McLaren next year with West on it, but now I realize that they don't have that on them .

I also saw Minichamps page of unnofficial cars and it had all the tobacco livery cars, like BAR with Lucky Strike, McLaren all West livery, and that kind of stuff. Personally, I like those cars more..

Tobacco 'adverstising' is illegal on 'toys' in a lot of countries and therefore you won't find them on diecast models. That's why Autoart Ford Focus WRC Marlboro livery, Minichamps Porsche 956L Rothman livery and Exoto Jaguar XJR-9LM Silk Cut livery are all censored or taken off.

I'm not familiar with F1 cars, nor do I smoke , but are you sure that they have the wording "West" and "Lucky Strike" right on the car?

I do not smoke either, but I'd rather have the original livery on the car, as for example, the whole form and colouring of the McLaren Mercedes in recent years and how they write driver's names has been due to West logo, or how Ferrari is synonomous with Marlboro also in recent years, and the Lucky Strike logo on BAR, I don't know, they're just nice..

As of this time last year, it was illegal to sell a toy or model in the European Union that had cigarette branding on them.

It's crazy that Autoart and Exoto etc models are classified as toys. Who is going to buy their 4 year old an exoto model for him to play with?

I've been watching F1 since the mid 1980's. I have been exposed to Marlboro, JPS, West, Camel, Barclays, Lucky Strike, 555, Benson & Hedges, and any others I've missed and I have never smoked anything ever. Money well spent by the tobacco companies there!!

why is tabacco advertising illegal on toys? its not like kids are gonna read it and then ask their parents to buy them that. I think all it comes down to is them thinking too much about the kids. besides, kids have no idea what tabacco is, and I find it weird how they don't allow West or Rothman, but they allow warsteiner or jaegermeister.

It's going to cost you a pretty penny. Exoto.com is selling the LM #63 winner w/rolling chasis for $399 + shipping. If you don't mind getting a 2nd or a 5th place car then go #61 and #62.

I can buy it for about 475$ dollars in Denmark, where i live. But i mabye have to gt it shipped if the danes don't wanna reply the phone. lol

Went to another local hobby shop today, and they had some decent cars out. They had a yellow 250 GTO by Hot Wheels, it looked pretty sweet, but not my cup of tea. They also had the MS #1 Ferrari F2004 for $79.99cad, so it was a better deal than the other store. There was also a MS Ferrari 7-time champion commemorative car, it was $99.99cad, but I didn't like its colour that much.

I bought a Ferrari F430 by Hot Wheels, haven't seen it around before so I got it. It was only $35cad. They had an Aston DB9 as well, but it looked kinda bad for a Hot Wheels 1/18.

I've seen that Boxster S by Maisto. It's $12.50cad here, so about $10usd. It's a steal eh. I saw a Viper SRT-10 by Maisto somewhere too, but I wasn't too keen on it. I'll wait so I can get my showcase for all of my cars and I'll get the red Viper SRT-10 by Hot Wheels from Toys 'R Us, and maybe that Boxster S too if I find it fitting with my other Porsche's.
