I've planned to do a double decker bus that's been fitted to be an armed bus. It's going to have a roof that's been torn off and will be mid air over a jump, so this is inspiring!

An awful photo.... Picked up the Greenlight Porsche 911 from F&F today.

I should've picked up the Supra & R34 when I did see them. Green Eclipse too...... And now I remember why I didn't get them. I wanted to keep my spending focused on 1/64. 💡 I did get the Escort though. I wish GL made that in 1/64! :grumpy:

I picked up the R34 and Escort at TRU for full price. Found a broken Supra without the spoiler or mirrors at a flea market, avoided that one. Did also pick up the WRX STI hatchback from the fourth film at another flea market for $1 with broken mirrors, which didn't bother me as much for some reason.

Was thinking of getting the S2000 from the first film, but...I don't know how I feel about it....

Such irony about the 936 having a "Jules" sponsorship... Doesn't remind me of good stuff, but I just felt like pointing that out. :(

On a happier note, they're both cool cars. Personally, I prefer LM cars to old, 1950 era F1 cars, but I dig the Silver Arrow. The driver looks quite detailed, he's not just a colored blob with zero detail. But the 935 is the better looker of the two, is it a Minichamps by any chance?

This arrived yesterday been on backshift and been raining so only managed quick night pics will get some day pictures this weekend,

CMC Aston Martin DB4 Zagato

Was always umming and ahhing over this for a while but the fact these were staying over £300 put me off, then seen a site offering these stupidly cheap, sent them a message and my luck the last one had just sold that day but thankfully they got a few more in. Alot of people had said the shape is abit off but it looks pretty fine to me, have spent time with a 1:1 DB4 Zagato ( i know they were all different) but it doesnt look too far off, the door surrounds arent the best fitting though.

They have even replicated the full handbrake system too

I've been tempted by Welly's 1/18 stuff too.

I've just bought another Norev diecast. And once again I've gotten a 1/43 Viper, from the exact same seller I got my last one from in France. I was inbetween getting it from Norev, or Autoart, and I'm not sure I made the right decision. It's the Viper SRT-10, and it has a few annoying factors.

There it is, in all it's Vipery crudeness, all the stupidity of the concept of having Donald Trump in the White House put into something worthwhile.

Here's another, just as likely to call you a pansy as the last. From most angles it looks great, but now for those issues. For starters, I don't know why but the back looks a little off, and I don't really know why. But I can live with that. The Norev also comes with a roof that you can put on the car, and that's a brilliant idea! Except that the roof doesn't quite fit properly, but again. I can live with that, because it's not overly noticeable at first glance. But lastly and the biggest issue I have with this.

The headlights look terrible, looks like the glue has left a mark on the inside, and that's disappointing. And one doesn't quite sit properly as you can see. I bought this more as a desk ornament than a serious display piece, so I can live with these minor issues. Now I just need space on my desk. Why did I think buying a desk ornament was a good idea, again? :irked:

So like, in addition to the models I posted a few pages back, I got these on pre-order as well:
AUTOart 1/18 Nissan Skyline KPGC-10 GT-R Tuned:

(Just pre-ordered earlier today lol)

True Scale Miniatures 1/18 McLaren F1 LM XP1:

(Old pre-order, but should be hitting the US in the next few weeks. Slightly incorrect compared to the AA, but cheaper lol)

Ignition 1/18 Honda NSX:

(Black with TE37's)

Ignition 1/43 Mazda RX-7 FC3S:

(Black with BBS wheels)

Can't find the pics of some of the other Ignitions I have on pre-order, but they are a 1/43 yellow RX-7 FD3S with BBS LM's and a 1/43 Datsun Bluebird 510 Coupe in red with Watanabes.

Oof, that Hakosuka Skyline... It may not be a stock model, but it's gorgeous! The detail, the black rims and body... It's properly badass-looking, and it shows.

As for the Ignition models, they're interesting. I don't recall ever hearing about then, but they seem to be quality products as well. Your future pictures will answer that question soon enough...

Yes, it is extremely badass looking. Will look great with some of my other modified classic cars :sly:
And I actually have two 1/43 Ignitions, posted way back in January here. A metallic blue KPGC-10 GT-R and a orange S30 Fairlady Z. Both are excellent models, though a bit pricy (around $120 USD). Ignition was started after HPI shut down their diecast/resin model car business, so a bunch of the Japanese staff that ran HPI's model division started Ignition shortly after. Some Ignition models are repurposed HPI molds that have been modified, while others are brand new. Ignition mostly makes Japanese cars, but some Euro rally cars are planned in both 1/18 and 1/43 resin.

Also, some random pics I took earlier:

Indeed it shall, you lucky sod. Be sure to take some good pictures, that GT-R deserves only the best photos. :sly:
Wow, that does sound a bit expensive. But it seems that Ignition has a solid background when it comes to scale model experience, so that somewhat justifies the pricetag. I might give their range of models a look to see how interesting they are. They're mostly JDM cars, yes, but they seem to be well-built JDM cars, which is good.

Also, that Essex Espirit is gorgeous! What is its brand? It looks magnificent, the livery is extremely well-executed and the over proportions look on point.

Esprit is an over 10 year old mold from AUTOart, one of their early 1/18 models lol. Still looks great after all these years. I have had mine for 9 years.

Wow, it aged extremely well for a 10-year old 1/18 scale model. I guess that acts as a testament to AUTOart's craftsmanship and overall quality, incredible stuff.

@Holdenhsvgtsr - The Aston is absolutely amazing... 👍

@Venom800tt - So many HPI's... Errr, I mean IG's.... :D Really like the Nissan's, it's a shame IG Models are so expensive arround here (by here I mean Portugal... ) :(

BTW, Autoart is going to launch the Group B 1/18 Delta S4 Toivonen #4 (the car he died...)

I seriously have to find a place that sells a scale model of an E92 in Russia.
Well the Kyosho E92 I have was a dealer edition I bought around 8 years ago from some BMW dealer's ebay page. Probably hard to find these days, though Kyosho is about to release an E92 GTS soon. GT Spirit makes a sealed resin 1/18 E92 and E92 GTS right now though. Probably will have to order them online from somewhere to get them in Russia, unless you have a local hobby shop or diecast shop nearby.

Yep, many AA's are quite good, though they have their fair share of issues at times. My AA Diablo SV is another model from even further back that I love. :)

I had to order (and pre-order) my IG's from a Japanese shop I order various model cars and anime figures from called Amiami. Shipping can hurt a tad (around $30 USD for me), but their prices are pretty damn good. Sometimes their AUTOarts are cheaper (including shipping) than many shops here in the US.

Have you taken pictures of that Diablo SV? If so, could you share them here for us to see (if you haven't already)? Now you peaked my curiosity about it, and I would like to see just how good it looks. If it's not much of a hassle for you, that is. :)

So AmiAmi is the right place to get decent IGs at a decent cost, huh? No surprise there, places like that are the best (and only) places for Portuguese people such as myself and CBarbosa to get those cars. We can buy AUTOarts, yes (I know of a shop which sells them), but their prices are not so kind to the wallet if you catch my drift. And despite AmiAmi having solid prices, we still have to deal with shipping... :scared:

Amiami is the only place I have been able to find pre-orders for IG models, though often models do show up on ebay as well.

Anyway I somehow I managed to find some old pics of the Diablo SV lol...
Also found some of my de-winged Diablo VT:

And one newer pic of the SV:

Newer pics of the VT:

And a lone pic of my slightly modded VT Roadster:

Wonderful, wonderful castings. It's amazing to see such old castings still look so good after all these years, and those Diablos are great proofs of concept. Proportions, detailing... I can't really pinpoint any major faults with those cars, I just can't. The engine bays are so detailed you can even read the firing order of all 12 cylinders for the V12 engine! Truly, an excellent attention to detail, I do guess that this is one of the reasons as to why AUTOart is so respected in the scale model world... 👍

The only real issue I have with these old AUTOarts is the lack of popup headlights, which didn't appear till a few years later. Some more modern AUTOarts have nice spring-loaded lights, which pop up with a switch under the car.

Oh yes, that is indeed a rather annoying fault, especially in the case of cars with pop-up headlights such as the Diablo. Fortunately, it's not an issue which AUTOart has ignored to this day, which is good to hear. The spring-loaded lights are definitely a very nice system to implement in a scale model car, and it can recreate the pop-up headlights' movement just fine I bet.

Just took a look at the shop you mentioned @Venom800tt... The prices are indeed cheaper in some models. Especially the pre-order Toivonen Delta S4 1/18 AutoArt...

Even with shipping costs, by converting the currency it will be cheaper almost 100 Euros (+/- $115...)

Many thanks for sharing the info... 👍
