Just one pic of Toyopet Crown. Boooo!!!!!

j/k

I'll grab more, people were asleep and that case would've made to much noise trying to open it. :P

Well, the close-up shots of the cars look good enough, bar a little lack of brightness, so that's nice at least.

Other than that, great set of cars. Love the 88CV, old Toyota LMPs need more lovin' from fans, and the 7 doesn't look half bad either. What are the model companies which made those two, asking out of curiosity?

Oh, and greaaaat LFA, love that car too. The fact that it is a 1/43 scale model makes it even better for me, being the dude with a lack of space for larger-sized models (accursed small house of mine, haha), and it still looks rather detailed.

Haha, you classicist (that's not a word, but shush).

Yup love all the LMPs, I've seen more which I'd love to add to the collection but they're usually expensive as hell.. And I'm not entirely sure who makes them, I still remember the site I bought the 88CV from so I can grab you a link, but the 7 I just got off EBay.

Also yea, the LFA is pretty detailed, not bad. I also prefer 1/43s because they take up so little space. I have a bunch of others on another shelf I'll photograph later.

Alright, then grab a few links if possible, I'm sort of curious about those cars myself. I do think that one of my 1/43s, a Mazda 787B, belongs to the same collection as the GT-ONE, so there is that to consider. And yes, when most LMP scale models are usually done by top-level companies and are rare, then things are bound to get expensive, yes...

Here you go, check out the rest of their site, lots of really cool models. I'd love to get a few more, but they're way more than I wanna spend.

I'd love that Minolta liveried 89CV to go along with my 88CV.

I can why would you be put off from buying more in that website, quite a lot of tempting (and wallet-wrecking) stuff in those hills. Also, from what I can gather, your car might be an Ebbro (same size, same car model, so the shoe fits) brand model. And it's priced around 59 dollars, which is already a bit steep for me by itself, much less with the additional taxes from importing it...

There's a reason why AUTOart's my favorite diecast brand.

I got something just as beautiful & classy for you all. I found this at Toys R Us on the way home today:

I didn't even realize until I was taking this pic someone had broken the seal. :irked: Might as well:

OK, not beautiful & certainly not classy. Maybe cartoony. For $29.99, I figured it'd make a nice gift for my nephew. His dad likes diecast cars, and he is starting to get into it, too.

Well, if it is to get your nephew into scale model cars, might as well start with something which is well-known and popular (so to speak). Pretty it isn't, but it stands out and is built decently. As long as he likes it, I'd say it was a good purchase all things considered.

It's my nephew, but yeah, nice range for young child. Of the 1/18 cars I've given him so far, his favorite is the Aston Martin Vanquish Bond car, so here's another movie car for him. :D

Oops, I dun' derp'd, sorry about that. :dunce: Still, nice choices, and he wants the Brosnan Vanquish as well? The kid has good taste in movie cars, or at least can recognize a good one when he sees it, haha.

It sucks to be me. After years of coveting this car, I finally get it in the mail today.

I just sent message to AmiAmi. I thought it was shipping damage, but the missing shifter is nowhere to be found. What a bummer.

He already have the Vanquish, but yeah, thank you. :)

Well that is mildly inconvienient... It stings to see that the shifter is MIA and probably will not be recovered, but at least the body has its parts in place and is not damaged. It'd be worse if you had a car with loose wheels and/or a broken rear wing, those parts aren't as hidden as a shifter.

Argh...my local seller had the white version around 7 years ago, I'm not sure if he's still got one and usually he has pretty cheap prices...Lambo Miura from AutoArt for HALF the price on eBay...too bad I do only collect racing cars in 1:18 and about the Ford GT, I do have a racing version with the Gulf livery...
I was also considering the Bburago SF15-T 1:18 as next purchase, recently got a F14-T 1:43 scale for like 5€, not bad actually...I was just nostalgic about Bburagos...was a proud made in Italy back when I was a kid...

Dude. $150 is a lot of money to me, and it's gotta be perfect. It's looking more & more like the shifter was never installed, as there is just a hole there, and no loose part laying around. Really disappointed by AUTOart, as they are charging pretty big money & I assume they shipped it incomplete. I just now mailed it back to AmiAmi, but man, it was a hassle! Just ask Andy how much I enjoy shipping stuff overseas.
That looks way better than the other Jada scales. 👍
Doctor! It's been too long. :D I agree, by Jada standards, it is an upgrade. They seem to go for highly stylized look, then execute very poorly. Damn shame.
What? You mean it's not an Automatic? :P

Sorry for the mishap. Can we pretend it's using paddle shifters?
My white one was at work, and I actually started doubting myself there for minute. It's going back to AmiAmi in Japan, and I ordered another one from eBay this morning, as AmiAmi has the item on backorder & couldn't guarantee me a replacement. Since their "refund" turned out to be in-store credit for both shipping + item, I'd be out about $200 just right there & into a store credit, but I easily average $100 there every month, so I'm down with it.

I have the white one, which I display in the case at work. I've been waiting so long to be able to display both versions together, and I guess I have to wait just few more days. The original came from Japan, but the replacement I'm getting from the next state over in the U.S.

Great pick on the Gulf livery. I like that look on any cars, and if I was going to buy a third AUTOart Ford GT, that would've been it. 👍

Well, you do have a point, it's not fun to blow 150 bucks on a scale model, hoping to have in mint condition and instead getting a car with no shifter or a way to fix said lack of shifter. It is a rather steep cost to be lenient towards it. Not something you expect out of a top brand such as AUTOart, especially when so many other of their cars here display incredible attention to detail.

And if you enjoy shipping so much overseas, why not ship some TLV cars to Portugal for yours truly? :sly:

That was sarcasm. I HATE international shipping. Nice try.
Speaking about AutoArt...
well this is just porn...
I have the GT One #2. I must've had that model for ten years or something. Very jealous of the 787B. I still prefer the LeMans winner, but that "Test" model is unbelievably hot. 👍👍
@a6m5 , I do have also a Gulf Porsche 917 :lol:
I have two of those.

But they are hot wheels. :P

And I also have a lot of Micro Machines 917 and GT40 in Gulf livery , with different numbers or opened/sealed, I almost finished the entire Le Mans racers collection, apart from a single Mercedes model and some colour variants...:P
I was lucky enough to get the 787B for 150€, and that's a steal! Sure the winner is more iconic but it will remain one of my favourite race car of all time with one of my most hated livery of all time...since a used winner will cost almost twice, no doubt I've decided to go with the Stealth version (looks far way better) and it even comes with a helmet! (still unopened inside the box, i kept the car in near-unopened conditions). And I do have a 1:43 787B (the blue/white one, amazing!).
The GT one is one of my favourites as well, pretty lucky to find a brand new unopened model!
I was aiming for the #3 Esso ultron but this Zent sponsorship looks a little more stylish

I thought the Renown livery was pretty hideous when it was first revealed. I've turned completely around on that though. Now I think it's one of the historic livery, at least for the Japanese fans. I totally agree on the Stealth pick though. For the price, I'd have picked the same one as yours. It is an amazing looker.

P.S. You say it's sort of unopened. Have you inspected it for the gear shifter? I hear some dude got a Ford GT with missing shifter. :P

It does have the gear shifter

I knew it was sarcasm, because you spend far too much and are too bothered by the time and hassle which come with internation shipping. Well, I gave it a shot, why not? I could use a TLV or two...

Well that was unexpectedly fast... Shipped from Japan on the 17th, arrived a few minutes ago:

Also it seems my GT Spirit order for August is finally about to ship...

Hey, it's the handsome tuned Hakosuka! One of the best purchases you have made in recent times, really, and hopefully you have the time to capture other photos of it, because I personally think it deserves that treatment. ;)👍

Don't worry, I won't let that lone phone pic be the only pic of that car ;)
Might do a photoshoot later today if I'm not too lazy. Also with temperatures dropping outside, I might attempt some outside pics soon. :sly:

I like the sound of that, let's hope that the temperatures don't get hotter because of such a handsome car. :sly:
How's the quality of the model itself? I know that might be an unecessary question, but still...
