Devil Z has devillish price tag.

That is why I preordered the new blue one that looks close to the Devil Z for half the price.

If one cares enough about the black bonnet and wheels, they could just mod this one.

Update on the Nissan VGT interior mystery:

So I just arrived in Manila at around 8 pm, and when I got home, I immediately took out my glue remover and dissected the car again:

Finally took out the tub.

But prepare to be trolled by Kaz...

THIS IS THE INTERIOR.

Kaz loves to troll us.

Darn it Kakashi, I warned you not to do that! You've opened Pandora's Box, now what will we do!? GT will be victim of calamities, sheer disasters! The secret should've remained glued, imagine Kaz's anger and/or sheer smirk, thinking of ways to punish you...

Even with Kaz's master trolling skillz (4/20 for those indeed ), Kyosho still did a commendable job with their Nissan 2020 scale model. Detailing is on point, and ride height hits that sweet spot that other brands failed to reproduce (cough Mattel cough). The only real issue about Kyosho's fine work is the distinct lack of additional colors. I mean, where's my Night Shade? Not all concept car scale models should only come in grey and white, you know... You can give the wacky colors their chance, people will buy them!

Probably reposting this, but Makeup has plans on producing a limited number of Rocket Bunny FDs, and preorders are open.

They've got 6 colours planned, but it's tough to decide which one looks the best when what you can work with are flat sketches.

Doesn't look like much compared to the model shown above, eh?

Currently sitting between the red, yellow, and black.

If you're looking to pre-order, amiami has the cheapest between it, hobbysearch and carmodelz.

Here are photos of the IRL cars I've been able to find:

^ This isn't even the yellow one they're replicating. No one's taken a single pic of this on the web?

Gold RX with the 6666 rims, that's easily my fav in that list. It may suffer from decal overload, but the decals' gold colors mesh perfectly with the black body, alongside the gold rims. It just looks spot on to me.

On a different note, my father has recently returned from hospital and decided he wanted to clean some of my larger scale models, which sat atop the wardrobe in my bedroom. Contrary to what you might think, he didn't do a terrible job at it, so I decided to sneak in a few "after-cleaning" pictures of some of these cars. If you're wondering about the change of scenary, it was a father suggestion; he told me that with all the natural light coming in, photos in the kitchen would look better than photos in the living room (the place where I usually take my scale model pics, but also doesn't really have much in terms of natural light).

Word of warning: I'm doing a little test with the thumbnail pics, to see if they don't break this thread's loading times with full size pics directly from my digital camera. If they do slow things down too much, feel free to warn me, and I'll resize them accordingly.

'Tis a nice 'Vette, don't you think? It was probably a gift from someone (that's how I got most of my larger scale models after all), but I can't remember if it was. Either way, it's a cool car, even if the color isn't one of my personal favorites (it could benefit from some stripes and whatnot).
And it is an Italian-made Bburago, none of that Chinese-made malarkey... :P

Maisto's 1/18 Honda S2000

Well, it's not the most unique of models, but it is a well-made model nonetheless, so I'm fine with the somewhat plaid color it comes in. The interior is a bit dusty, but I'd rather keep it that way instead of risking destroying the interior stickers with water or something along those lines. Priorities, you know?
Also, as you can see, the VTEC engine bay is still alive and kicking (eyyyyyyy). :dopey:

One of the (very few) tuner-esque scale model cars I own, but that's because I just love Camaros so my esteemed mother snatched this up for me as a gift (either for birthday or Christmas) without me knowing. As you can see (despite my lacklustre close-range photography skillz), it has been LS-swapped, so that's how you know it is a custom car. It also comes with some trunk ICE for that additional swag, plus some custom rims and a lowered stance. And it has stripes, so it's all good in the hood for me. 👍

Finally, saving the best for last;

Man, this car is something else, isn't it? The best part about it is that I got it for cheap; a toy store in a shopping mall was about to change management, so they were selling their remaining stock with discount prices. Therefore, what would have been a 25-30 euro car quickly became a 10 euro car, and I just had to snap it up before it vanished. It doesn't have a full box, only the plastic base and the aluminium-esque paper that surrounds, but that's a small price to pay for such a great quality-to-price ratio. Just look at that engine bay! It's perfectly pristine, and I intend to keep it that way.
Fun fact: the toy store in question also happened to have one other Maisto R8 scale model. Which one? The infamous crocodile-inspired R8! I can't really say for sure why didn't I snap that up too, maybe I was just more fond of the Audi factory liveries, or maybe I just didn't know about the Croc R8 at the time... I mean, an animal-like Le Mans prototype is pretty hard to miss, so it's not like it was camouflaged or something!

I've got the white AutoArt S2K, but I've always been envious of Maisto's version as it has the sat nav screen.

Is that so? Well, never thought that I'd have a scale model which beats an AUTOart model at something... Guess that's another good reason to preserve the sat nav screen in good nick, isn't it?

And what about the engine bay in the AA S2K? Does it look more detailed than Maisto's?

So if anyone is interested, carmodelz.com is having a sale on things and I thought I'd bring these two up:

Pics are links. Very little left. I think they're a decent price.

^ Nice. You could even condense the height of each slot down a notch for a tighter car-to-space ratio. It won't seem like much, but it'll have a visual impact on how the cars will look.

@AOS- I reckon I could fit another row in by taking your advice (I hadn't thought of that idea) but I don't have any more shelves handy! Although I hear what you are saying, I'm considering doing the same at the other side of the garage. But that would take some serious saving up...

Yeah. You'd be surprised what a difference it makes when you consider spacing. Here's what I have in my room...

My total collection finally displayed
I see a nice Ferrari 412 T1 around the middle:sly:

The first solution is better but looks a bit claustrophobic, this is mine...
I personally hate this cabinet for his classic style but it was the only solution I have now for 1:43 collections and my Le Mans 1:18 plus the 2 Exoto Ferrari (all 1:18 currently still in original boxes, planning to buy a bulk of dustproof showcases in the future)

and this one is in my room, missing the last 2 shelves with micro machines, can't think about a better space optimization here...

On the "DAMN" note, I've just spotted the quite rare AutoArt #18 Mazda 787B, despite having the sexy stealth version (and the 1:43 as you can see here lol) I really want this one but I've got no money atm :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Add rows in between. It's a bookcase, so use that unused vertical space.. perhaps in some form of steps:

Things in the back don't get covered up so that everything gets a share of being easily seen.

That's a good idea to improve the visibility of the cabinet as well ;)
