Yeah dog, it's got to be that red one. :P

Edit: I've made a picture chart that lists every model I've picked up and want to buy in the future. By having this wide view of everything, it's an attempt to help myself remember to watch what I'm spending, reevaluate the wishlist, and to see whether a desired model will display well beside others.

I still can't believe I've obtained 60% of these in the span of 6 months.

Edit: Yes I also borrowed one of your photo, Venom800t. I find nearly no photos of that one WSC on google. It's like no one owns it (which I suppose is now a good thing).

A quick question to everyone really but mostly to @AMG. with that phenomenal collection:
Does anyone here buy models as an investment?
I don't, I collect what I like and all my models are for display and none are sitting in a box waiting for value to increase.
My collection ranges from Maisto BMW 850i to AutoArt XJ13 and I would not sell any of them unless absolutely necessary! I only wondered about this when I saw all those brilliant Saubers out of the boxes.

I buy models to keep, never even considered selling. I don't have the most valuable cars ever, but the whole lot could generate some serious cash if I wanted, but I would rather have the cars.

That and the effort to box up and ship cars would be a nightmare.

I don't, I collect what I like.

People say this, but I don't think there is a strong reason to avoid collecting as an investment. If anything, it's future thinking.

Not to say anyone is "wrong" for not considering the idea of buying these as a small investment, but to put it simply: "it's your loss".

That aside, I do both. I'll grab cars I really like (it being a natural reason for engaging the hobby), as well as limited edition cars that potentially appreciate (only if they're cars I really like).

I have never once bought a model car just because I thought it would appreciate lol
And honestly, I don't see it as a loss. Sure it is money that I will never recoup, but I enjoy my models more than I care about the money lost.

*EDIT*
A few crappy pics:

I was comparing GT-Spirit's official photos of the model to photos of the real car and perhaps it's just the photos they took, but I've noticed a few things that look off about the model. I am hoping anyone who owns one could verify these remarks.

Here's what I've noticed (3 images):

Again, these are just my observations based on photos alone, so a lot of discrepancies could be the result of photo angles.

... with that phenomenal collection....
Thank you!

If I had more cabinet space I would have more cars in my collection. None of them are boxed. Are they worth a penny, sure. I don't buy as an investment, that has never been my intention but it does cross my mind. It's good to know they do seem to increase in value (some faster than others) which is good if you're a seller, not so good if you're a buyer.
If it was for my investment purposes they would never leave the box and you wouldn't be seeing my pictures.

Well those without money can't quite speak for themselves, now can they? We're the silent minority... :sly:

Congratulations on the purchase, however, it certainly looks like a million dollars. Although I bet you didn't pay that much...

TSM's 2016 catalogue.

They're announcing that Honda 2&4:

Interested to see this, unsure if I'd want to keep one.

There's also that McLaren F1 GTR Cesar in that famous silver livery. Though I noticed the proportions on the rear lights are wrong, and its entire rear face is not coloured black.

I've never heard of the Sticker City P1, but while it looks somewhat cool, it also looks about as timeless as a graphic tee:

The P1 GTR looks to have a more lasting appeal:

GT Spirit announces that preorders open on June 1. I like the red one a bit more, but a sucker for purple would always favour a car in purple.
Do we know what the other June pre-orders are? Their website doesn't have anything new yet, as far as I have seen.

Check out their facebook page, thats where the news usually come from. The other announced new preorders are Brabus 850 coupe, RS3, Cayman GTS and 1/12 E Type.

And just in case you missed it, the dealer edition of the GT Spirit Cayman GT4 can be found on several European webshops.

Ah, thank you, I didn't think to check Facebook. I did notice the dealer GT4, I'm close to picking one up myself.

Honestly, I would have preferred orange myself, or maybe white. But when I ordered it (one of two models I ever bought directly from Extorto), this was the only color available. :(

It's nice to see Exotos pop up here every now and then (aside from the ones AMG already has :P). Where'd you get the model from, SPhilli?

Boo Standox!
Don't hate, still looks hot :P
Plus, like I said it was really my only option for the price...

lol, well I'd rather had have a 934 than not have had one. Granted, I bought it around 10 years ago, well after the orange, white, and black 934's sold out. I have considered getting the orange Schuco one just because orange...

It popped up new/ unopened on ebay for a good price. I usually browse ebay for models I want to get an idea on prices.

In related news, where might one go to find rare models for sale? I'd like to get a Spark 1/18 Porsche 3.0 Carrera RS.

Perhaps now is a good time to trade it in for an orange?

Lucky you on the find. I had been on the lookup for a particular Art Car, and I screwed up my saved search parameter when I noticed 3 weeks later someone had listed their for under $200. This is clearly a case of an individual not knowing how much their item values for. No one in their right mind these days would list one for even under $350. I wish I had saw it. Would have definitely settled on the great savings at the expense of losing its original acrylic cover.

Hey I heard some of you like Truenos.

So here's picture of the soon-to-be by Ignition in 1:18.

Impressed? Wowed?

I like Ignition's lights. My fairlady has insane detailing in the headlamps. You can see the same level in this one. The tail lights are quite dope too.

This car is pretty much the first love of most GT players
