Has anyone heard of or had experience with Spark models?
They seem to be high quality... Well not really sure, I need to see it first hand.

I've had models from the cheap common 1:18 scale brands to Exoto, AutoArt, etc.
The hands down best one was Exoto and then AutoArt. I hope Spark is really good as well. I mean it better be for the $$$.

Spark are sealed resin, for most of their models anyway. Just like GT Spirit, most BBR's, LookSmart, MR, and so on. They are pretty nice for the $150 USD or so they cost for their 1/18 models, while 1/43's range between $50-$70. As far as detail goes, they are a little below BBR and MR, but slightly above GT Spirit. Spark and True Scale Miniatures resin models are often made in the same factories also.

An example of a Spark road car is this Porsche 991 GT3 RSR:

If you are comfortable with sealed models, Spark is one of the best in the business, here is my C7R:

Something about the Spark C7.R just looks so much better than the AA one. Not to say the AA one looks bad, but it doesn't seem to look quit as realistic as the Spark.

^ I briefly checked out your facebook, wow what attention to detail!

Can you make custom 1:18 scale cars? Like modifications to hood, adding front splitter and rear spoilers? What about wheels? PM SENT!!!!

I love my Spark models and I've always considered them to be one of the best deals when it comes to sealed resin models. Still been meaning to do a comparison between my Spark 991 GT3 RS and my significantly cheaper GT Spirit version. Because, while GTS may be cheaper, they sorta lack in quality compared to the Sparks.

Thanks! Thanks for checking out my page.

I've only ever painted one, have a 1:24 that's been in progress for 3 years, and 3 other cars I haven't even started.

Found another fun-looking lviery I did not know about:

Of course it's Spark again doing it.

Personally not too big on the comic pop art style, but it is pretty cool overall.

Thought I'd share it for non-motorsport peeps.

It would be great if they do it in 1:18. But since it competes in the AM class, I doubt they will ever make one unless it's a 911.

I'm kicking my butt now. I should have pre ordered the Forza 7 GT2RS! :banghead: Hope I can find one in Game Stop or online.

I have a bird that is yellow
:eek::eek::eek:

I am so full of jelly now! That Yellowbird is perfection! Who makes this?

Well since the HWs are dry for me. But the bigger scales have been flowing through for me. I got several Jada F&F cars, 1:24s Maistos, Two 1:18s of Brian's Supras from the first and his last movie. And a garage full of 1:32s.

I'll post pics of them later, but I got some JDM Tuners 1:32 today and I am trying to swap the wheels from the R34 with the FD RX7s. But I want to know how to remove the motor on the rear wheels so I can do the swap. Here are some pics:20171011_193427.jpg

You can see this is where I'm stumped. If anyone knows what to do. I would gladly want to know or a link to custom 1:32 cars.

Just arrived today, haven't bought anything in quite a while until I saw this and had to try win it. I remember it being in a need for speed game and maybe a GT game but not sure on that one.

Wow, there is a car I forgot existed. Assuming this is Maisto? I vaguely remember them offering the car many, many years ago in their catalog because I wanted it with my other NFSII cars, a Jaguar XJ220 and Ferrari F50.

Yep it's Maisto, I'm on the lookout for an XJ220 but I can't decide between silver or red... ideally I'd love a Le Man's TWR but that's never happening :P

Just received the RWB from ToMo. And they said "I will let this slide as the coupon does not apply to preorders blah blah blah"

I didn't get that message for that order.

Update on livery changes: I can't see how to extend that initial idea any further, so I went scribbling up a whole bunch of new ones by plotting down a section of blue and red several times until I came to toning it down.

I didn't post any updates of that here. But that's okay. I moved forward with rearranging the location of the foliage to the front of the car, and laid down floral patterns to match the fabric of the character's clothes. It gives the white some extra detail so it's not as plain, but at the same time, subdued so as to not look too busy.

I continue to tinker with arrangement of the patterns, but if not, I'll be moving onto the left side of the car with another set of foliage prints, and the possibility of text to pull it back closer to standard itasha protocol such as character name and aftermarket brand decals.

For anyone unfamiliar to the project: It's a 1:24 RX-7 I'm working on. (And it's not plastic)

Wowzers what productivity I have. Only took another 2 months to do this:

I think I did mention why I'm blocking out the left side with blue; because I messed up the pearlescent coat on that side, and now it's being covered up.

Took a good 30 minutes to set up the airbrush... It's always a damn mystery why it takes longer to get paint flowing out the thing than it does to complete the actual paint job itself.

Also ended up over-spraying some areas and messing that up (again) Onto the third phase at covering that up now.
