i would say out of the 6 holdens i have (5 being 1/18's) this one is the worst :( but its still nice, feels rather fragile and not as well made.

This is the last of the BMWs I've bought. :)

These are the E30 M3 Sport Evolutions driven by Cecotto and Soper who finished 4th and 5th, respectively, in the 1991 DTM driver's championship. Click Here for more pictures.

twistedspoon, what setup do you have that allows you to take pictures on that black reflective background? Could you take a picture, please, so I have some idea? Thanks!

I recently helped a friend salvage some of his furniture and took him to Ikea to refurnish his rooms, in exchange for my services, he gave me his scale car collection. There are many cars, SL500, Jag Type E, Viper GTS and RT/10, BMW Z3, and Ferrari F50 and more.

They are all pretty banged up, since it seems his younger brothers actually played with some :scared: But it's gotten me with the fever of buying new ones and putting them together (the brand is Burago, if it rings a bell to anyone), and I'll eventually re-buy the ones I have, since some of them are missing parts.

I'll post some pics when I get the chance to take them, but don't flame because for how damaged they are.

Diego, BBurago's go quite cheaply these days on eBay. Welcome to the world of scale models.

Well, we're always complaining that owners of exotic cars don't drive them hard .

The F50 looks great in black. I can't wait to replace mine with the Elite version coming out soon.

Here's a picture of my setup. Basically, I use a regular bristrol board for the back and a glossy board on the bottom. I use too light sources for picture taking; both are incandescent lights so I have to compensate with camera setting so filter out the yellow hue. If you're good at PS then then the yellow hue shouldn't be a problem.

I hope it helps.

First, bought in France.

Renault R8 Gordini.

Now bought in America.

Ford Fairlane and an F100 ''Wrecker''

I have loads of car up in my room, just too many for 1 post.

Hey thanks!

Sadly eBay and I had an argument some time ago and we're not on speaking terms anymore. :grumpy:

Careful mind. Some of the Elite models aren't all that brilliant. 👎

I currently have 4 of the Elite model (F40, FXX, Testarossa, and the 288 GTO) and I am pretty happy with them all. Yes, they are kind of pricey but they are, by far, the best 1/18 Mattel has offered us.

Just got me another Viper, and this time a good price. £48:

89723 1/18 DODGE VIPER GTS-R AT DAYTONA 1997 --- O.BERETTA/T.ARCHER/D.DUPUY #94

I was watching this same model on the US eBay just curious to see what price that went for as it ended at the same time, and the US auction finished at £73.45

only found out at midnight that there was a show on today and sent off an email asking if i could bring some models along, then got a phone call this morning asking if i still wanted to come along.choice of taking cars was hard to ended up taking 5! the 3 brock cars, cmc slr and the gallardo to attract attention.was rather busy

and got stuck with a table on my own
pict0117rs5.jpg

i was one of only 3 people with cars there, the rest was mainly planes, boats and tanks.as soon as i put out the SLR there a group of 5 people just crowded round and one of the guys was asking if i had a birdcage as he collects cmc, franklin mint and another company i cant remember.slr seemed to be the ice breaker so to speak :) people were glancing across looking at it then noticing the CMC label and then coming up and having a look at the other stuff.noone seem to noticed the ickle blue monaro though :(
but rather busy none the less :)
pict0190xp7.jpg

the bathurst cars seemed to more popular with people that knew what there were about(if you know what i mean) where as the supercars were more popular with the younger kids, more so with one kid when everytime he would walk by he would always come over and take loads of pictures of the slr
got alot more attention towards the end and one guy rather liked my torana,he was saying he collects older bathurst cars and had a few falcons along with a number of exotos :D good day :) need to get out to more shows!
