Autumn ring mini reverse is a good battle ground for close tandem, if you have no hp restrictions and comfort hards autumn ring mini is perfect. The other tracks are pull away tracks which makes for bad tandems... My two cents

This event is going to have a qualifier round so only the top 16 drifters will get in and I can imagine if this happens correctly there will be no pulling away only top quality battles:tup:

This is true, but his point is still valid, some of the layouts have unlinkable sections, and straights which are just an unavoidable part of them.
i also expect to lose at least 5 drifters due to qualifying times and people changing their minds. The tandemness of each track should still play a big role in peoples votes, along with speed, aesthetics (including camera locations), fun, challenge, straights and linkability.

I am considering rating all tracks in a format like this
Speed..............X/5
Aesthetics.........X/5
Fun..................X/5
Difficulty...........X/5
Straights..........-X/5
Linkability..........X/5
Tandemability.....X/5
Total.................X/30

This way people can vote for tracks that tick their personal boxes.

The problem with having a poll is that someone may think up an awesome layout 1 day after it starts. I would prefer to do the poll as well, but the vote system we have now is incredibly easy to keep up with.

Rest assured the tournament is only about 2 weeks away. The last quarter final of Tournament #1 is later on tonight, next weekend will be semi's and the Grand Final & bronze battle (i wish all competitors the best of luck in said battles). I will announce the decided track on this thread as soon as the winner of tournament #1 has been decided. Meaning that you will have about a week to practice for qualifying the following weekend

Fuji D1 has the same issue (worse IMO) you can't even see what the car is doing 90% of the time. It is annoying how photomode has like 9 cameras you can choose from at any point on both these tracks, yet you can't change to them in replay or spectator mode...'WTF???

I would, but it is an awesome drift track and I fear a backlash from people who have already voted for it. Who knows, better replay angles may be patched by the time Tournament #2 kicks off... *crosses fingers*

indy track is huge, the road has SO much room for mistakes.
Tsukuba is being overlooked. Yes it's overplayed but requires more skill to do properly than pretty much all the other tracks.

^^^true^^^ I haven't cast a vote so don't blame me (I know you weren't) I agree about Tsukuba but if you haven't already, go drive the Indy layout. It has it's issues (the biggest being the straight) but is overall brilliant fun.

Yeah i'm kinda with Welsh.. people don't want Tsukuba because they have overplayed it and why cancel it out from the tournament because they overplayed the track and class it boring?

It is a good track to tandem and i reckon probably 1 of the better tracks to display some talent

Indy is quite tricky to link which makes it awesome!

When I watched a replay the cameras were very nice on that section, still cams with a view of the whole transition.
