Heard it earlier this evening. Right between LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem and Queens of the Stone Age - No one knows.
Radio station for mostly alternative music, but has teamed up for a week with other stations for charity and people can request songs when they donate money.
I was watching tv at the time (which I very rarely do) and could softly hear it coming from the kitchen. Just enough to recognise it, still counts as Whammed I guess

My mom listens to the radio at home. They played so many covers, my ears started to bleed. So I closed the door. Well, went out to the kitchen and came back without closing the door. Next thing I know I hear something familiar playing under the DJ.

Was in my room browsing Forzaplanet when something caught my attention. The radio outside my room was playing and I could hear the higher pitched sound that plays during the song (sorry, don't have a way to explain it). I thought that it sounded familiar and then I figured it out.
I got whammed.
And my mother started vacuming a couple of seconds later.
Why could she not have started earlier?

I lost last week, I was sitting in at the bar in my uni having lunch with a friend when Last Christmas comes on. I was a bit annoyed, but hey, I had an epic burger (was amazingly good and affordable) sitting in front of me to counter the disappointment.

Girlfriend knew about the challenge and lost two weeks ago when she visited her parents for a weekend. She picked me up from the train station last night with the song playing on the radio, and intentionally left it on when I got in. Crap.

December 18, 2011. 02:51 PM. I was on my way to Ayala Center Cebu, a mall I visit every Saturday. I was riding a taxi. What was playing on my Nokia was Rise by Samantha James. Something played on the taxi's radio, and I removed my earbuds to see what was playing... big mistake. It's over for me now.

Survived another trip to Tesco. Unfortunately they were playing Christmas music, but I survived. Was at the self scan and started to get worried as they were playing that christmas song by Slade and the song was coming to an end. Some instrumental followed though, so I was ok.

Other people singing it does not count. Only the original song will get you Whammed! If the song itself was on at the same time I think it'll count as a Wham!

My mom claimed that the song (that I heard, didn't hear any lyrics as it was just coming on) was the original, but as I closed my ears and ran out of Michael's I couldn't as said before hear any lyrics.

Well the op clarified a little while ago that if you hear the music, you must wait and see if it is the original or not. You'll have to ask the op for a judgement on this because you did hear the intro and your mother claimed it was the original.

She claimed it was the Wham! version. But I only recall the rule being,
If you hear the intro, then you're in a sticky situation. Continue to hear it and it might be a cover, or your worst nightmare (i.e. Wham!)
...as in you MAY continue to hear it. So if you say that I should be Whammed! I will submit and bury the sword.
EDIT: Didn't read the revised rules - I don't go on this thread much, tbh.
