I'm going to be playing with fire tomorrow. I have a dental appointment tomorrow, and with my luck, they are going to be playing Christmas music. Even worse is the fact that my aunt is my dentist, and I can't even say anything about it since my family always intentionally does things to irritate other family members. I hope to make it out alive, but I fear that I'm going to get Whammed.

Today, I went out and actually remembered protection. I brought along my iPod and blasted some Sonic music, displacing most background noise. Still finding it difficult to get Whammed in public. I'm mainly worried about the Doctor Who Christmas special because it's titled Last Christmas.

If that's the case, tell her to not play classic rock as it really bothers you and would drive you insane. Then name your most hated bands (your favorite bands) and tell her to not, under any circumstances play music by those bands.
Then hope that reverse psychology has worked. If not, she'll be too nice and avoid playing rock

That won't even work in the slightest. In my family, saying that "x irritates me" is the go to way to have the family do just that. Exactly. Tell them you absolutely hate a certain genre and they will play that genre.

That reverse psych won't work for that reason because they know exactly which genres I like and don't like. The only chance I really have is that my iPod saves me.
