Thank you Jesus, on this Christmas Eve, for making my uncle call me so I had to mute my speakers. I go from Reddit to GTP, scroll down, my heart drops while I'm on the phone. Dodged a bullet. Lesson learned.

Five days left with lots of errands to run and parties to attend. I'll be honest, I'm not confident. I thought I was safe by being completely antisocial but this time I skirted death by sheer luck.

Here I am drinking whieskey and coffee and watching documentaries on Ytoutuve and I'm doing just dandy. Turned my speakers on of course - I can't read Russian subtitles. And it's cool because I had various threads open in their own tabs so I never went to the main page. I thogught this through. But then I forgot. Front page. Whammed. DAMN IT. Since I've already been Whammed, I've got nothing to worry about. I was gonna watch it regardless of if I got Whammed before. Maybe it's just the title. Maybe I'll just drown myself in spoilers just to see if there's any implication of the song being used in the episode.

Although I did not join in on the contest, I was officially whammed 4 nights ago at a holiday party my wife an I threw for all of our friends. I think throwing out warnings in this thread should be banned. Alas, Happy Holidays everyone :-)

Reading through the posts I find many newcomers to the game asking the proverbial "WTF is happenin' here?" question.
It takes years to tell that story - several years in fact; reading the threads of former years would be the best way to get a feel for the deal.

So I logged in (Just got on without putting my headphones on as I rushing back & forth to make sure I was recording a show), go to scroll down the forum page and I see a video. Immediately, I go "This wasn't here before" and as soon as I see George Michael's face, that's when I thought "Holy crap, @Jordan is on a whamming massacre". I'm starting to think a wham is upon me, that's yet again another close Wham avoidance
