Is the app supposed to be functional still? I get random errors a lot but overall it works still.

Will be interesting to see how this all works out. I'm rather fond of the current layout.

I kept getting Parse Errors earlier on. Assuming you was doing maintenance. Hope it went better this time than last.

Question about this: If I created an ITCC 4 poll in ITCC 3 thread, before the change, will the poll remain unaltered and without loss of data?

Thanks.

An update for those of you looking forward to the new changes: I regret to say that I have experienced more significant setbacks in my testing today, which may require several more weeks and new hardware to resolve. Once again, I will make a formal announcement when I am able to confirm a hard date on the launch. I'm sorry for any confusion.

If something isn't working right, by all means take your time to fix it. I'm in no rush for the new layout.

Boy, this seems rather familiar. All this hanging out with Kaz is rubbing off on you :P All of us GT fanatics are used to great things taking longer than hoped. Great BBQ can't be done on a gas grill. It's got to be "slow and low"

I hope you're not super frustrated and are able to enjoy the humor. Jordan, I noticed today that GTPlanet is about 4,000 away from 250,000 members! Mega kudos :)

iOS 7 did screw a few things up though. Such as the cursor after "quotes".

Take your time. Don't rush to put it out. We'll understand if you need more time to roll out the new site.

Responsive design really isn't easy huh Jordan? I'm doing a big responsive site at the moment and it's hard work getting everything to display as intended.

Excellence takes time. PD have already learnt that . Best of luck Jordan .

True. I'd rather have a clean version that took many months (not saying it will) than a version that's messed up and unresponsive that only took week to make. Honestly, I just wish PD did the same thing with the sound in GT5, but that's off-topic.

Not sure where to post this so it will be seen. I'm brand new to Premium GTPlanet. I've noticed GTP racing leagues have rooms to race in when you send an FR for that league. Turtle and SNAIL have several "rooms". I am looking to start a league myself and would like to know how to "link" GTP and PSN? Or make these different rooms?

Yes, the humor in the fact that a Gran Turismo website is experiencing delays is not lost on me.

It is very difficult, especially when dealing with the diversity of page templates of a site like this. This delay, though, is actually caused by an issue deep in the server stack which is affecting the actual process of converting the database schema from one software platform to another.

To make a long (and technical) story short, I have to bring new server hardware online and move the site over to it before I can finally move forward with the forum software conversion.

Will DaveTheStalker's idea of saving his signature work? Or will Signature format (HTML?) change?

This is a hunch, but I think it's safe to assume Jordan won't be allowing HTML in signatures, for obvious reasons.

What's the current format for signatures? I don't know the technical gibberish/jargon. I'm trying to figure out whether or not the current signatures will still work after they're reset.

What you mean 'still work'? I'm sure you'll still be able to have links in your new signature, what else would be an issue?

Text formatting (font, color, smilies, etc.) will actually no longer be available in signatures.

Then that's my question answered. Outside of the fact I don't quite understand why these site changes even affect the signatures then... Everything cleared up. Thanks.

:(

Oh well, there will be more features to replace the absence of fancy signatures.

So, my signature is an example of how the new signatures will look? Fair enough, at least it looks clean I guess. :) Is Centered text considered text formatting? I've long believed that centered text would be very nice in Signatures.

Correct. You won't be able to align signature text.

Alright, I'll save the current signature format, then. Thanks for answering my questions. :) (And, for leaving the URL functionality, it makes it easy for me to find Autism thread, and the threads I visit most often. 👍)

I'd rather give up the URLs than text formatting. But it's Jordan's house. I suppose that will cut down some on how much space signatures will take up.
