They want to stand out (maybe). I've considered using red text soon.
I did that for a while. Gets annoying to do all the time an it's tough on the eyes.

Whats the point of certain color text anyways?
People like to show off
Yup. I've used it in 45,000 posts to stand out and show off. They want to stand out (maybe).

So, this change and all it entails is just fine and dandy, but enquiring minds want to know, will we finally have a decent sized collection of emoticons?
39 isn't a decent sized collection of emoticons?
Will we be able to edit our own polls after posting them in the new version of the site? On occasion I make a mistake in the BWPC polls and currently have to ask one of the Moderators to fix it for me, so I am curious if that aspect will be changing or remaining the same.
There won't be any price changes for Premium service immediately when the new site launches. That will likely change over the course of the next year, though. As a recent Premium Member, a gift from one DrKronin, I am very interested in the site rebuild. As I plan to sign up for a lifetime membership, once my one year gets close to expiration, I am interested in any pricing changes that may be initiated after the site has been upgraded?
There won't be a significant change to the smilie line-up.So, this change and all it entails is just fine and dandy, but enquiring minds want to know, will we finally have a decent sized collection of emoticons? I know, asking the hard hitting questions, but someones got to.

There will be no immediate changes to polls, but user poll deletion is definitely something I'm looking into.Or to be able to remove it when it's done and add another. Bit annoying having an old poll on a thread from 5 months back etc.
Yes. In addition to YouTube, you'll be able to directly embed videos from Facebook, Dailymotion, LiveLeak, Metacafe, and Vimeo by simply copying and pasting the URL of the video page into your post. This might be a dividing question, but would there be any chance of Facebook video integration?

No major changes to Premium membership will go live when the new site launches, but they will come later. I should note that customized user profiles are also not supported by the new software. How is this going to affect Premium membership, if at all? From what I can tell 3 of the Premium 'perks' will be lost with this update (PMs, 500mb web space, 20mb for post attachments). Personally I'm not concerned about it as it's nice to support the site and the perks are just that, an added bonus, but I'm curious about any possible changes.
No, a Facebook account won't be required to view public videos. Of course, if the user's privacy settings limit who can see their content, those restrictions will be applied to videos embedded here as well. Will watching videos embedded here from Facebook require having a Facebook account?
Will there be any improvements to the search facility?
I'm sorry, unfortunately there is no way to batch export contents from Groups discussions, and the new PM system will not have an API.First, is there a way to export thread content from the Groups and Clubs? The S.N.A.I.L. Stewards group has a large amount of history we'd like to keep and having an export facility would help us a lot.
Second, we're building an Incident Review system with Google docs and it will include a
notification facility. Will the new site have a pm api?

If it's any consolation, once the new site is launched I will finally be able to start work on new tools I have planned which will streamline the process of managing racing leagues here.
Do you have a solid release date yet?
It's not being removed. It's being removed from the Google Play store and App Store - you can still use it until the site changes.Quite frankly gutted about the removal of the app tomorrow.
There'll be no need for it. The site will automatically optimise for your device:Hopefully you'll remake another decent IOS app though!
JordanThe mobile apps will be replaced by the new site itself, which is fully responsive and highly optimized to offer a full (and fast!) experience on all types of smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
