I'm still only allowed 50.
Mobile Safari doesn't appear compatible with the copy/paste feature, but you can easily upload an image directly from your camera or camera roll. The new site is fully compatible with iOS 7, and yes, the embed codes are automatically generated for you if you simply paste the URL to the video.Regarding posting pix; Will we be able to drag and drop or use tue copy/paste function from our (iOS) Photo Roll?
iOS 7 is pounding on the door. Have you been using the beta to help optimize the new site?
YouTube videos; when we "copy" a link, if we paste it in a post, will the proper embedding codes automagically generate?
The change for Premium users came a few weeks ago. When did the PM box jump up to 20,000? I was making my way towards the dark side and a red PM box bar, when all of a sudden it's all green again. I thought I'd lost a load of messages.
They will not be deleted and will be imported over to your new profile.
If every facet of the new layout is described, where's the excitement and anticipation of discovering for ourselves?
GTPlanet will undergo significant changes in the coming weeks, and as a result, several features must be discontinued. If you use the Social Groups or User Albums feature, please read this announcement carefully to help ensure a smooth transition as we convert to a new community software platform.
Social Groups Closure
Social Groups are not supported by our new software, and all data associated with existing social groups will no longer be available after the transition. If you maintain a Social Group here, please back-up and save any important information or content that it may contain. As of this announcement, no new groups can be created.
I realize many of you depend on Social Groups to communicate and organize online racing leagues and events. Please, do not be concerned: Social Groups will remain online and fully functional until the transition to the new software begins.
Further, you will find the new software makes it much easier to communicate and collaborate with small groups, with more sophisticated and modern tools which obsolete the Groups feature in its current form. Stay tuned for more information on the new messaging functionality when the new site is launched.
Photo Albums Closure
User Photo Albums are also not supported by our new forum software, and uploaded images will no longer be available after the transition is complete. As of now, no new photos may be uploaded to these albums.
Please review your images here and save any files to your PC which you want to preserve.
As with Social Groups, Photo Albums will be replaced by more modern features which will allow you to quickly upload and share files and photos on GTPlanet, including the ability to upload and embed a full thumbnail gallery directly into your post, drag-and-drop file uploads from your desktop, and the ability to share photos directly from your mobile device or tablet.
GTPlanet Mobile Apps End-of-Life
GTPlanet’s iOS and Android apps will be removed from the App Store and Google Play Stores on Friday, September 6, 2013, and will not be available to download after that date.
Of course, you can continue using the app on your mobile device until the new site is launched, at which point the app will no longer function. The mobile apps will be replaced by the new site itself, which is fully responsive and highly optimized to offer a full (and fast!) experience on all types of smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
When is the new site coming?
I’m working around the clock get the new GTPlanet online as soon as possible, but it's a large project and I can’t offer a solid date just yet. It won’t be much longer, though. Keep an eye out for another announcement in the coming weeks with more information on the transition.
I apologize for these inconveniences, but look forward to offering you a modern platform which will help us take this community to all-new heights. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Yes, one click. You won't need to use Photobucket, Flickr, or any third-party image hosting service unless you want to.Awesome cant wait 👍, btw, with the NEW version of uploading photos to a Form page, will you have to upload from photo bucket, or can you put them over by 1 click? Thanks.
Unfortunately, yes, that's the only way.Is the only method for backing up social groups going to be cut and paste? 489 discussions is going to take forever to back up.

My group has 15,000 posts in it
We may only have fewer than 500 threads, but some of them are 55 pages deep.
JordanThis is somewhat hard to describe, assuming you're not a web designer or developer: it's a layout for the site which is specially designed to "collapse" in an elegant way for all different screen sizes. There is no different "version" for different devices - the content on the page simply repositions itself in a way that is best formatted for the width of your screen. This is called "responsive" web design.
To see a responsive website in action, check out The Boston Globe or Jalopnik. If you're on a computer, grab the edge of your browser window and make it narrower; that's what their site will look like on a smartphone or tablet.
How will the site determine the size of the screen we will be using? Pixels or screen size? If the awnser is pixels, then basically there will be no difference between the site I see on my phone and the site I see on my PC because both have the same resolution (1920x1080)?
Is GTP:XI coming soon? (and I hope smoothly.)
The width of the page is determined by pixel count, but high-pixel-density displays ("HiDPI" or "Retina" Apple devices) actually render pages at a width determined by their pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy S4, for example, has a 1920x1080 pixel screen, but it will render a responsive web page at 640x360 pixels (in landscape mode). How will the site determine the size of the screen we will be using? I've never been here for a site upgrade. I'm guessing the last one was pre-July 2011 as I always remember the site being like this.
October 2011, before GT5 Spec 2. I was there for that, however it wasn't a huge upgrade. GTP12 (Is that the official name?), looks like it will majorly change GTP for the better, I just want to see what she looks like!
