NOTE: This is an archive thread for my views on various manufacturers, seen in my signature. This will be updated almost daily.

DOOMOTRON'S VIEW ON AUDI

Audis are Volkswagens 'poshed up' a bit and given some extra jelly, but some Audis are good, like the R8. But if I had to choose a good German supercar, I'd have a Bugatti Veyron. Despite the fact that Bugatti is French.
Tomorrow: Doomotron's view on FIAT.

What is the purpose of this thread? I'm confused.

This is just an archive for me. It has no purpose for other people, just for me to keep my views and for other people to see the ones they've missed.

In my opinion this belongs in the Cars in General forum, because you are talking about car brands.

Can someone get an Administrator? This needs to be moved.

Gee, it's never occurred to me to use a world-wide public forum to keep a private list of useless thoughts that I might want to refer to later....... I've always used folders under my "Documents" folder.

@Doomotron You could make the thread engaging by inviting others to share their own views on various manufacturers. Members from different countries + different views on manufacturers = interesting learning material for your personal archive. 👍

Now that is a brilliant idea! All we need now is people to share their thought.
To start, how about you, Matej, on FIAT.
Here is my view:

DOOMOTRON'S VIEW ON FIAT
FIAT is an Italian company that builds charming cars extremely badly. But being charming, bad building doesn't really matter in my opinion. If somebody offered me a free FIAT 500, I'd take it (Unless I was also offered a VW Golf).
Tomorrow: Doomotron's view on Mini.

As I said earlier, it is now a thread for various members to share their views on car companies. I also said in that post that Matej will go first, but unfortunantly is not online right now.

Remember this?

If im real honest, thats bit too harsh.

@Doomotron, if you really want to share your thoughts, then make it more things to discuss about like some of the more prominent reviewers. Example:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thr...week-111-71-ford-mustang-mach-1.295599/unread

I know its GT6 cars reviews. But the structure applies to real car manufacturers too. It explains in detail why the car is good or why is bad.

Simple and single paragraph reviews (or should you say "view") blocks people to participate much about what you said, making people confused on whatever they agreeing or against your "view". You also didnt state like: Why its charming? Why its badly build? Why a Fiat 500 good to you? What type of it? Etc.

Also, single paragraph review is boring to audience. Try to make it an interesting read. Illustrate it with picture if you can. And you can grab your "conclusion" on your reviews as your signature.

In short, try to make people interest and collaborate in your views.

These paragraphs were meant to be put in my Signature, so they cannot be many paragraphs large.

Why would I want to create a website or blog about this?

FrzGT - Reply: I tried to make this so it was like Clarkson's view in the Top Gear Magazine.

Why would I want to create a website or blog about this?

Because up until you changed the purpose of the thread following Matej's suggestion, it was the complete opposite of a community thread. It was personal musings, treating the site as a blog or sounding board for your own ideas.

If you're aiming for them to be small little blurbs, one has to wonder why you wouldn't just relegate them to Twitter.

My question has not been answered though. GTPlanet has perfect people for this, so why would I want to make a site or blog about something which can be done here. And also I don't care about Twitter.

I think this thread should be locked. There is only 1 car review here, but plenty arguing and off topic things.

@Doomotron

If you're looking to let others share their opinions on car manufacturers, a possible suggestion from me could be to split the time frame between car manufacturers into weeks. Such titles could be "The view on car manufacturers week #2: Fiat", or maybe " Doom and the community's view on car makers week #2: Fiat", or something like that. The way you have it now seems a bit confusing because you have the thread titled for public opinion, but you post a view on a certain manufacturer every day, hardly giving much time for others to chime in.

Just an idea ;)
