Yes and No. No is because people can make unrealistic mods, V12 in a Prius, as 5,000HP +. Also some disadvantages in Racing as Drag Racing as Making the X1 Ridiculously Faster.
The Yes because we can make Real Life Replicas. Twin Turbo Gallardo for example. Drifting is all new. Engine Swaps like RB25 in a S13 for example. And you can finally do Stance and Hella flush cars
. Also your cars are so much more personal as you said. 
Great Episode so much truth in it! Each Update PD gives us everyone complaining saying that they made GT5 worst etc.. Like the Secret Parts being ended, As the 2.12 Update.
I got yelled at in a GT Lobby for having a Twin Turbo Lamborgini because he said its Unrealistic and impossible to do in Lite version of GT5. And he Rage quit.

good podcast. Really wish he would have came up with better counterpoints to make the argument more interesting but he couldn't. Hybrids have made this game more interesting hopefully PD can learn from this and give us something better in gt6. again good podcast

People do whatever they like to cars in real life. Why is it so different with a video game? In real life they set up regulations in motorsport so certain things can not be done to even the playing field. Why can this not be done in a video game? Yeah, some people ruin it with the 100,000 hp cars, but if the idea of hybriding was accepted instead of stifled, then you would not run into these issues. It is like real life in one aspect though, and that is we cater to the lowest common denominator. A few people bitch and you have to do something. It's sad. If you don't like a certain aspect, set the regulations so that specific parameter can not be exceeded and shut the **** up.
