Side note:
On all FR vehicles. If you can easily wait for settings to come for you. Please experiment with them first. Figuring out your own style is much better than copying someone else's settings. Run at least 1 grip lap around a easy driftable course. Then slowly tune it while it is in stock form.

Bought the car to try your setting, couldn't make it work for me, but have problems with that car drifting. On GT5 and Forza 3, never could get the hang of it.

Anbody else?
 
Just to ask, what make a tune good? So good it can be posted here?

Have tunes and cars I drift with, at the moment the 2 I like the most is the Ferrari 430 Scuderia and the '07 M3.

Seen a tune for the m3 earlier, but mine i much "stiffer". Will have to with write mine down and try the other and sees whitchon is best for me.

Have got about 10 mill, som will start tuning any wantet car if people like the setting I post later.

I see you got low spring rates, maybe you should try higher spring rates to improve youyr driftcars even more :)

yeah i have lotus carlton aswell 700 and something brake ..its an animal eats through a set of shoes after two laps ..have feeling could be great with right setup anyone able to help me ??? 👍👍:gtpflag::gtpflag:

really? i find low spring rates in these cars with the engine setup kick out alot nicer, the higher ones i have a bit of trouble with =\

Very steerable with the front or the rear, 1st run with these setting's on Tsukuba hit 14045pts..

*NB The IS-F will drift quite nicely with all mods +stock susp / diff or fully customizable @ stock settings

*NB the theory of this setup will work for 90% of FR cars...

rock hard/max lowering rear ,

3 points lower spring rates and 15 mm higher in front,

and generally up the camber from 0 F+R until you can't control the car anymore and back off a touch...personally I always use a touch more camber on the rear for drift...

I'm new to GT5 drifting and this is my first set up, its the only car I own that I can maintain a drift in so enjoy!
 
Perhaps something could be clarified, just for my own purposes...why on earth is anyone drifting(in gt5, gt4, 3, real life etc) and doesn't have a basic understanding on car dynamics to input their own drift settings? i mean it seems along the same lines of asking, "what is the best drift car?", in that there is no definitive answer...some people drift better w/ stiff rear ends, some w/ softer ones, all of the different parameters that go into making a drift car should be experimented w/, not just given out as a general tune...your car can't drift how you want it? then experiment for crying out loud, mess w/ the toe and camber settings until u feel comfortable sliding around, and then u may see that the settings provided, don't actually work for you....not trying to badmouth anyone requesting drift settings, but if you're not willing to put in the practice to find out your own drifting style(i thought that was the point), then why exactly are u drifting? i'm by no means the best drifter out there, but at least i put in the effort to understand why my car is not sliding as i would like it, instead of just getting some generic drift tune and calling myself the reincarnation of Takumi Fujiwara...

dude you come off abit harsh, did you think perhaps some people may just have no idea where to start and would like to see what others are doing to then do their own tuning?

No tune is perfect for everyone...this is just to try and help people out and share idea's...

I was afraid it would sound a bit harsh when i posted it(definitely not intended), but it just seems to be a valid question...drifting(at least in the US) seems to be associated w/ ne'er do wells, who have no concept of car dynamics, beyond what their credit cards can buy, what their mechanic tells them, and what they've seen on initial d. IMHO people like this is why D1GP or any other mainstream drifting organization cannot get the same kind of exposure that is enjoyed internationally. Drifting is an art and a skill, that requires development, and knowledge of car dynamics. Beyond advising people to install an lsd(if necessary), the advice should be to go somewhere safe, practice and experiment, both in virtual, and in real life.

I dunno, i just feel that there is a correlation in attitudes between those who don't put in the grind work to actually understand what is happening during a drift on gt5, 4 etc.. and those who get daddy to pay for their drift car in real life, crash it on the streets, and make things crappy for those who are just trying to drive their rwd sport compact in a reasonable manner...
 
But in the interest of being helpful, all i ever do for drift settings is to lower car 3-4 ticks above lowest setting once i have full customized suspension, and experiment from there, adjusting spring, shock, camber, anti roll and toe settings as i go along. it seems like most of the rwd cars have an lsd stock anyways.:indiff:

I have no odea how to do a droft tune! Innlfs i cpuld do a decent one but in tis? I think the arb is to make it slide more. And i heard thAt of the back is higher than the front it creates oversteer. The settings i have got off these are way better! I have been trying to tune an re amemia fd for the last 2 days and i jist cant get it right! Im really confuzled and need help

Don't have the re amemia fd, so i dont know how it handles stock...in my experience rx-7s tend to have a twitchy rear end(especially the FC that i have), that loves to step out, so in such a case i usually progressively soften the rear until the twitchiness goes away, then i work on the shock compression/rebound settings until it feels stable...
 
another thing that should be stressed is where the drifting is to take place...if the drifting is taking place on eigar Norwand i've found the settings should be a bit more forgiving than if im on a flat or slightly banked course, just so the suspension can do the work it's supposed to.

never mind i changed the car to a reguler race car, it has about 700hp so i figured since it was 4wd and alot of power it wouldnt be a good drift car

If you still want the setup I can do one for you at 700hp. I have an R33 at 611hp that drifts good for me.

Ive tried everything! Its not twichy. It will either spin or straighten
Edit: i put the spring rate to the bottom and put up 10 and its good. Its not perfect but ill work on it
