I don't know how to turn off the carbon layer... I'm painting the car using GIMP program... :(
 
OK, I think I might have un-Bonnie'd my headset/mic.

Apparently, because I used it on the PS3 recently, it couldn't even that when that is turned off, you're not supposed to pretend it's still on.

In other words, I will now attempt to do commentary at 2:46 AM and get the final editing done by.. ehrm.. tomorrow?
 
Hope Nagato-chan keeps her good streak up in that #4 BMW :D

But yes, other than that, not much more I can say. BMWs dominate over Porsches, Porsches dominate over Ferraris, and Ferraris dominate over... Oh right, no more brands participate in this championship, never mind. And my race, ofc course, was weak from start to finish. When the Turd Porsche does better than you, well, what hope is there for a good result?
 
Finished 29th at Monza. Not really suprised by this anymore. Also @rallymorten the Ferrari's caught the Porches back in Round 2 when I won.

After Zaita's first win in the of the season, we decided to get some Q&A in before he has to get going.

GTPlanet: Since this was your first win, how are you feeling right now?
Ameer Zaita: Aww man, you have no clue how it is. The excitement in me has sky-rocketed.

GTP: Your Porsche, how well did it do throughout the race?
AZ: It was great and just ate up the track without any difficulties.

GTP: Did you and your team have a strategy behind the scenes?
AZ: Yes and no. We had a basic plan in our minds but we couldn't stick to it 100%. All that matters is that we got a place on the podium.

GTP: Congratulations on the win and good luck.
AZ: Thank you.
 
When is the next sign-up? I finally mastered skin creation.
I've made three skins for GTR2, a bad looking 360, a decent Dome S102, and a U-HAUL MC12 because racecar sponsors.

This series inspired me to make skins, I'd love to join at some point. :cheers:

Well there is a Lightweight GT championship in the works so you could sign up for that. Its a one-make championship using the Lotus Elise (which appears to be a very simple Template).

Disclaimer: The templates are all in .psd format, or whatever the file type is that only photoshop can read. There is a plug-in for paint.net that lets you read them and use them like .pdn's.

Right now it's only the RGT and Lightweight (and whatever comes for a potential 3rd season, but that's still some time out), but it's always good to have a new person on board 👍

Finally got the stripes lined up after a lot of trial and error. Now just got to lay out the sponsors!
(Putting the number plate on last)
It would be awesome if you guys would help me out and tell me what sponsors I should put on :D
Oh, and @rallymorten could you send me a pic of the Am sticker? The template only has the number plate.

Well I went with Pennzoil, and also put bridegstone as tire supplier and KW for suspension. That's as far as I can think of, I keep googling racing sponsors but only get the super generic ones like K&N, KW, or Castrol. Know any others?

Caterpillar, Sprint, Cheerio's, DHL, Kodak could use some love, Waffle House for a twist, Buffalo Wild Wings, and if all else fails Mello Yello.

Oh poo, the black follows the white! I must have mixed myself up with that version and the '99 one. Oh well, my excuse would be I made my own version :D

Edit: ditched the white, now the car actually looks better. I guess I'm just going to base the car off the '99 Pennzoil R34 👍

Okay. That Round 4 at Monza round was crazy. All the different goings on leading to how the race played out. Congratulations to the winner and good job to all the other high finishers.

That being said, I really do like the livery 👍

(if my ocd/control freak level was higher, I'd enforce you run the normal numberplates no-matter-the-cost dictatorial style, but, honestly, A: I can't be arsed, B: there are bigger problems in the world, and C: I can see why the livery might not work with the standard placements. Besides, it is an experimental series, so.. :lol: )

Testing for LGT is also pretty much open (in the hopes of being able to start next week). No fancy form for this, so just send me a PM with what track featured either in RGT, LGT or last season's Porsche Cup you'd like to test on and I'll give all your three setups a run, passing you the best lap from each. Be aware that each driver only has three test sessions at their disposal.
Oh, and tyre wear will be turned off for reasons of setup.
And anyone who, by the time the season starts (more details coming at some point) has only submitted one setup will run that all season, everyone with two will be subject of eenie meenie deciding which one will also work as the 3rd and everyone who's not submitted anything will, as per tradition, have to rely on my messing about with random things in the setup not being too bad.
