.: Drivers Briefing :.

You must follow the car specs and regulations pictured below! Not following specs will result in an immediate disqualification.

Your car must be fully broken in before each race. Not following this rule will result in an immediate disqualification.

You are NOT ALLOWED to go in the settings page between feature & sprint race.

While inside the race lobby, do not use the 'chat' feature while stewards are sending out instructions for pre-race checks. If you have questions, go ask them now! Otherwise, read the op. We will be using a special pre-race qualifying that is listed below - read it! Thank you for your patience!

qualification rules for Monaco will be usual. You have 2 laps to submit your superlap.

Tyre Regulations

  • In every race ALL cars will can use of 1 set of Racing Medium tyre's. This also applies to the sprint races.
  • The use of the Racing Medium tyre's is optional.
  • During each sprint race, there will be a "Pit Window". This is where all cars must pit.
  • The Pit Window for each sprint race will announced in the race specific thread (here) in the week prior to the race.
  • If you damage your car and wish to pit, you may, however you can still only use 1 set of Racing Medium tyre's per race. you will also still have to pit in the window.
  • Failure to pit during the window in the sprint race or using more than 1 set of Racing Medium tyre's will result in an immediate disqualification.

.: CODE OF RACING CONDUCT & PENALTY SYSTEM :.

You want to report an incident? Click here!

All penalty's will be provisional until the 4 C's have been completed by
the PURE Racing Evolution Group

"4 C's" process approach to resolving incidents - Contact, Check, Convene, and Convey.

Contact - we will contact all drivers involved. People will be told against PM'ing us, instead they will only need to fill out the report (which will be a Google docs sheet) then they'll need to wait for us to contact them.
Check - we will then follow up by checking available evidence, like replays, photos, stories, and comparing them for consistency.
Convene - it will be a rule that in order to complete the process we must get together with at least one more official to get their opinion and confirmation on findings or proposed action, we will not contact any drivers involved at this point.
Convey - we will contact the drivers involved and officiate the results or penalties and send the package to series heads for posting/archiving.

Welcome back, missed you!

I got some more updates:

Round 8 points (still provisional)
Updated car specs, complete

Cars with ballast:

Very few complaints received about round 8, so we should be able to update championship points soon.

It will be an exciting round. For PAL-GT300, this should be C-Falcon's round, a car that loves turning and has very little ballast. For the rest of us I guess it will be all about hanging on :scared:

Anyway this week more than any other, practice before qualifier will pay off!

Regarding race start time:

I think PAL should start at 19.30 GMT, now that summer time (DST) is in effect in Europe. So that wallclock start time remains the same as always.

But we can keep the qual deadline at 23.59 GMT thursday.

Btw I hope to qualify on wednesday. Thursday is so crowded, with a lot of waiting in the room, and in the previous round I had the pace for pole but I was so tired when I eventually ran that I totally missed it.

@cicua we should keep the time the same, just change it to BST instead of GMT. I agree we should start at the same wall clock time.

@everyone anyone done any practice yet? Any gt300 times? My best do far is 1:37.4xx, I am not sure what will be a good time.

I have an online room open
GT300 class
Heavy damage
5 lap races every 10 mins

Room number 1472-6681-3200-9597-0351

CLOSED

Dropped connection. Going into PAL 1 instead

To speak a global language, speak GMT.

Everyone should know where they are in relation to GMT, and there can be no misunderstandings because GMT is not summer time (DST) adjusted. Fx. I am in GMT+2 now that we have summer time, and GMT+1 in winter.

But I have no idea what BST is, if it is DST adjusted already or not, and I have no desire to know, just as I can not make myself interested in all the american timezones.

BST = British Summer Time (GMT +1) ;).

Thanks but as said, I actively do not care.

What would you think if I put up the next round OP and announced it in danish time?

It is a not very polite behaviour when people try to impose their own timezones on others like it is the only thing that exists. Etno-centrism is just arrogance.

BST is British Summer Time. ;)
It is GMT +1 for the hour of DST.

The time you want (and we are running to my knowledge) which is the same on the wall clock as before for everyone, will be the same as the race time now but BST instead of GMT.

BST is quite useful because it is GMT, but gives you DST factored in if you wish.
Meaning British time is exactly what you want to base the time off, and I agree.

The suggestion of using BST is exactly what you want.

You seem pretty flared up about this for openly not acknowledging any time zones other than your own and GMT. Meanwhile you're flaring at people that are able-minded and informed enough to consider time zones other than GMT or their own, and have a greater knowledge of the time system than yourself?

Perplexing, tbh.

I do opologise, I didn't mean to appear arrogant. I was just trying to simplify everything. It seems I have created the opposite. :dunce:
You are right simon. We should use GMT as a base

Sorry,

Sorry,

How dare you propose we use British time and call it British time, we must use British time and call it GMT. :P

We just had two weeks of profound confusion in forums and threads because (most of) US changed to DST earlier than Europe. You may be able to handle it, but obviously most are not. All that could have been avoided by using GMT.

What gets me is why anyone want to stick to confusion when there is an easy solution called GMT?

Everyone just needs to keep track of their own local time in relation to GMT, that is a minimal burden. Nobody needs to keep track of others, and nothing can go wrong about it.

And the reason why I actively don't care is that both timezones and DST's are political decisions, subject to change whenever, and only relevant to the people living in those areas.

How dare you propose we use British time and call it British time, we must use British time and call it GMT. :P

GMT is not DST adjusted, so they are not the same ...

Besides, "GMT" is outdated, it is now officially called "UTC", which is exactly the same, but more acceptable for the french :)

No problem mate. And I must also apologise for getting upset over a small issue which has nothing to do with racing anyway.

Yea yea. We all have changed hour now (i think). But we will use GMT - PST - EST as our bases. not EDT, BST, etc..

We will change the schedule to 1 hour earlier for all conferences. It means that nothing will change for us. I.E. for PAL, green flag was 20.30GMT right? IT will be now 19.30GMT. Thoughts?

Perfect 👍

It make sense to adjust NTSC's UTC time back 1 hour to keep the start time the same for the time change.Only 3 drivers will be affected by this since the US and Canada have already moved the clocks.Mexico (El_Aliens) and Australia (MONSTAR) will change next week, and I dont believe Japan (L.Hamilton) uses daylight savings time.

sry guys i won't commit the next round and probably the next after that since i'll go on vacation to Cancun (hell yeah!).

Go Team Lexus!

I think it's hilarious we're still discussing "6 vs a half dozen" over time zones and number stamps.

I guess everything has to be a certain way.

What's a good GT 300 target lap time to shoot for?

I am not 100% sure but my fastest time is 1:37.4, the fastest I have seen is 1:36.7(with 70kg ballast).
So I suppose a 1:35 is possible. I think anything in the 38's is a decent time.
