Lynchy is me?

This is unfortunate because I do not feel like being aggressive. But I did hit someone intentionally.
I represent my site, GTPlay, so I have no reason to look bad in stock with GTplanet ...

No worries.
He's talking about someone else.

You are a great adittion to the series. A fast and clean driver. Still can't believe the pace you had on the last stint.
Well done. 2nd place on your first race. 👍

He was referring to a different driver named "Lynchy098" Litchi, not yourself, we know you're clean. Lynchy's clean too but he just ran into some trouble! How'd the race go for you btw? Hope you had a good one 👍

NICE, wow I knew I picked a good one. Great run Litchi!

Who won GT300? .....let me guess, Moleman? :sly:

That was actually, the worst 10 laps of my life.

Just one thing. Dont take this personally Lynchy, but you could quite possibly be the most aggressive driver I've ever battled with. You ended up making me pit twice, within 10 laps. The first within the first lap, and the second around the 9th lap. Gave up after then.

I can understand. The second was completely my fault. Took my eyes off the road.

Again, this is the report form for Round 7; for emphasis:

Here's the new incident complaint form we'll be using for this week's race. There will be a new one made each week for each round.

http://bit.ly/wsgtcreportsuzuka

This is what you're going to do with it:

  • If you run into an accident in the race and feel wrong'd, use it to lodge your complaint. This will put all of the potential incidents into one place for all of us (stewards) to see and review.
  • Re-submit a complaint if you're reporting multiple incidents. Do not attempt to report more than one incident on the same form, simply finish your first report, then go back and re-do the whole thing.
  • The only requirement for submitting incidents is that you must be an active member of the series-You do not need to be a steward of have been involved in the incident itself in order to report anything.
  • Even if you feel like leaving the reporting to someone else, still, report it. It would be more than useful to have multiple takes on the same incidents.
  • You're not required to write a story if you don't want to, you only need point out the specific time and area the incident occurred on. This will help the stewards greatly in collecting all mishaps related to the race, review them efficiently and in a timely matter.
  • It's not necessary to PM the stewards with your complaint as long as you've first submitted a report to us through the official form. After you've lodged your complaints, breathe easy and simply wait for US to contact YOU.
  • Carefully read and understand each question before you finally submit the report. It'll prevent us having to do guess work on what you meant and further speed up the process of review.
  • Don't worry about being implicated in a penalty that you're reporting someone else for. Your submission will be treated anonymously.

Happy racing.

GT300 race was pretty epic, no doubt about that.

Started off with myself and Shrugging_Atlas pulling away at the front, and tbh thought that was that. I started to drive conservatively in the slipstream to save tyres for later on - then I noticed Kamy catching us extremely quickly. I still wanted to save tyres, so let him by to stick in the slipstream, only to then find that actually I was having to push pretty hard to keep up. Atlas made a mistake (I think?) at the Degner Curve which dropped him far enough behind to be out of contention for that moment.

Kamy pitted a lap earlier for the first stint, I went for another lap because of traffic in the pit lane and didn't want to lose time there. After the stops I came out maybe 2-3 seconds behind Kamy, and both of us were surely pushing as hard as possible, I know I was :sly: - Multiple 2:04 lap times and still the gap remained the same, until Kamy made a slight error at the chicane which was enough to get into his slipstream. From there, all of the 2nd stint was us being sensible with slipstream, working together to pull away from some guys who were clearly on different strategies - Atlas was doing a long first stint, as was Litchi.

I dc'd (Not sure why, I dropped from the room but not from PSN and net was still online - just one of those things I guess, not overly fussed) during the 3rd of 4 scheduled stints, leaving Kamy to it. I came back to watch as I knew Litchi was on a strange strategy but was still very close behind.

Sure enough with 5 laps to go, Litchi had caught Kamy and the remaining five laps were trading places lap after lap, really good to watch! And clean too, very much so - it takes some attention and skill to go side by side through Turn 1 + 2 without any contact 👍

Kamy took the GT300 win by 0.1 over Litchi in the end - really pleased for you mate, I was pushing for all I was worth at some points and was struggling to keep up. Some good clean and intelligent driving too, was cheering you on from the sidelines, haha. Thought you'd thrown it away on Lap 39 though when you were fully sideways through Degner 1 - Yeah, I saw it, don't think you get away with that one ;)

Great to have another driver like Litchi with us too, hope to see you next week! 👍 - Could see you lurking a few seconds down the road early on but knew the threat was always there - shame to disconnect or would have been a three way fight for the lead on those last few laps! Maybe next time :D

omfg epic man I want that replay!

That made me sound like a really dirty dirty driver. When i try not to.
I'm sorry Lynchy I didn't at all try to make that accusation! In retrospect I realize how dumb that was, I'll edit it for sure. Sorry mate, I know you try your best.

You go Kamy! Lexus representin!

lol, I feel like Denilson just had enough energy to do the race, then he knocked out and fell asleep.

No, he had to celebrate first! Fist pumped a few times then celebratory jump... and the bed is where he landed.. "Yeah! Degner! Woohoo!!" *lullaby melody* Zzzz

Ahhhh Okkkkk:tup:

That was a fantastic race for me!! Thanx a lot for this invitation!!
I had another pit strategy than moleman cause I needed 4 stop to finish the race (like Kamy I think). It was too hard for me with only 3 pit stops.
And there was an epic fight with Kamy for the victory. Well done man!!! You're strong!

No worries guys, I'll be here next week for the next round.

A big thanx to Kamy cause I have run with his personally car. Really fast setup! thank you so much guy:tup:

Regards.

I was keeping up with the GTRs until I screwed up my 1st stop strategy and lost a lot of time. Then it was all about climbing places up, and while doing that I got damaged twice by Reevos and Chorda. I am not filling anything as they were accidental, but it did ruin my chance of catching the GTRs. It was a good race, but could have been better. At least, Im getting faster and keeping up with the top guys, even though they had ballast. If they didnt, they probably would have smoked me lol. 👍

My 2 stop strategy was clearly far from optimal :banghead: although I did have the lead briefly mid race. Kept waiting for rain that never came. Nevertheless I had a lot of fun running with Moleman early and then with Litchi for many laps. I was able to run with them which is encouraging, just have to be careful not to beach it next time! Cleanest race of S2, no damage and hardly any contact apart from a scary moment when Litchi ran wide in 130R and came back on track just in front of me...all good though just some paint swapped :)

Whoa, you can actually save the replay and then change into a file to later on to bdownloaded? How?? I copied replays before to a USB then I plug into PC and all I see is a bunch of files and no video!

No. This is a replay file for GT5. Who want's to see it needs to copy it to their PS3 and in the game import it to their list.
It would be a good feature though. :)

The replay file only plays on a PS3. You can copy the files to another PS3 and then view the replay there.

Well no, but I can capture them with my HD PVR capture device and upload them to youtube :D

They show up as a bunch of coded files but those can be downloaded by anyone and imported into their GT5 files for viewing.

You just have to take all the replay files and put them into a .rar file (right click folder "add to archive")

btw, mind doing that for us so some of us could download it from you in the U.S?

*sigh* Wish PD would bring a Youtube upload feature. Would be so much easier, and I could share my good, somewhat rubbish, driving skills:D.

Im jealous of your recorder... Damn it, thats some great videos you got there. 👍 I will be the happiest guy ever if a Youtube uploading feature comes to GT5. Hell, I would even pay for that. 1080p races starring ME! :) LOL

I really feel for you mole.. Good to see that you're keeping your temper under control.. But I bet you was pretty upset just when it happened.. I thought to my self "Oh,, maaaan.. I really feel for you buddy" durign the race when I saw that you got DC'd.
Really sad to Josh go as well.

Well, D2 drivers probably don't mind though. Since Ravellron (Where the **** was he??) did not show, winner in D2 will recieve points for 5th overall since no one that DC'd completed at least 85% of the race (I guess), and all other GT300's will move up the point scale accordingly.

Yep, me and Remy pulled a 1-2 finish. We had a startegy worked out pre race, but it was erased when I went of after 8! turns.. Had to let the whole field pass before I could rejoin.. So decided to tweak my strategy a bit.

I had far from a perfect race, but me and Remy found eachother on the track a while in to the race, so we worked together for 15 laps or so to pull a decent gap.. When I did my last pit stop, the AI told me to refule 26 litres.. I was like: "WTF!?!?".. Had 13 laps to go, and a decent amount of fuel in my car already.. But since I had a good shot at the win, I decided not to put anything on the line, the pack was still pretty close to eachother, and if I rn out of fuel, I would've probably be passed by the whole field.. Did not want that to happend.. I'm sure you guys know what goes on in your head at that point.. Only seconds to decide what to do.. So I had to sit in the pits for quite some extra time, and because of that, Remy passed me, and NEPALII caught up.. NEPALII then cought me up on my 2nd lap. But since I knew I had better tires, I decided to let him pass me..

And by doing this, I was hoping to save my own tires, and at the same time give Remy a few extra seconds..
Well, on our (Me and NEPALII) way towards Casio Chicane, I was up his rear.. Decided to put a bit of pressure, so decided to brake side by side, forcing him to take a wide line thru the chicane, loosing us some time, and gaining remy some (At this point, I guess Remy was 10 seconds ahead).
But exactly when I pull out to start to brake, NEPALIIs car "jumps" 20 ft forward.. And all of a sudden, I found my self going way to fast since I did no longer was even close to be alongside.. I did manage to reduce my speed by quite a lot, and would've made the inside.. Problem was that he (obviously) reached the turn in point before me due to the "jump".. So I had no where to go. The contact was minor, and I really hoped it would'nt have caused him any damage. But apperntly, it did. :boggled:

Well, that aside, me and NEPALII had a few good laps battling eachother, but when his tires eventually got worn, and my tires ws still in good shape, I decided to pull away in the first sector.. No luck.. The tryed again, and this time I got away..

So I had 12 seconds to catch to reach Remy.. 6 laps left.. 2 seconds a lap.. to gain.. on Remy... Hmm.. Ok, I knew he had worse tires that me, and more ballast.. So I dd not see t as impossible.. ANd by the end of lap 45, I was 4 seconds behind.. He was driving on ice.. And I was able to pass comming out of casio on the last lap..

That's that. 👍

How did D2 come out?

Big wall of text comming: :sly:

As usual I started the race going backwards. After spending the first lap trying to overtake Josh who was blocking a bit (all fair though) both he and I were overtaken by Litchi. As usual I’m in last when it’s a mixed race, because I’m extremely cautious on the first laps.
As I was struggling both Imprezas and Hortus were making ground on us, so I had to get on with the overtakes. Lap 2 I overtook Josh and Litchi, and in lap 3 I was all over the bumper of Hortus and overtook him going to Degner 1. The Cusco boys were 3 seconds ahead.
Lap 4 Litchi overtook me but went wide to the chicane and lost a few seconds. With this Mole and Atlas were more than 3.5 seconds ahead.
Lap 6 they began swapping places and began to catch up. By the end of the lap I was already on their draft. Mole let me through and soon I went by Atlas too. Mole realized I was in a quicker pace than them and put pressure on Atlas, that made a mistake, and followed me.
I realized he was a bit relaxed not wanting to get on big fights that would cost both of us time. I try to use Remy’s draft to pull a gap, but as I’m bad braking for the chicane it didn’t work out.
As C-Falcon went by us me and him went wide on 130 R and Mole passed me. Into the pits I go then. I actually messed my math. I thought that was lap 11. It was the 10th, so a little early. Mole pitted the lap after and I had a little gap now. I drove like a maniac to try and extend the gap, as he should be struggling with his ballast. We both give our very best on those laps I think. Awesome fight at a distance. I started to feel my tires go away later in the stint and made a minor mistake and Mole was back in my slipstream by lap 16. We started working together to keep the gap on the other drivers. Well at this point it was mostly me leading the way while mole sited on my slipstream saving his tires. Lol Mine were pretty worn by the end of the stint.
Mole was in front of me when I decided to pit as my tires were “falling off the cliff” on lap 22. I used my beams to signal Mole, because we were working well together and it was better to help each other than to go on a major fight in this stint. He didn’t saw it but it was his time to pit too I guess. I passed him on the pits as he refueled and I was planning on doing that on my 3rd and last pitstop.
Litchi and Atlas were ahead at this point. The French pitted two laps after. The American was on a diferent strategy and on worn tires so we quickly catch up and overtook him. We set some fast lap times at this point.
By lap 31 Mole got disconnected and I was left alone in the lead… for now. Litchi was a little more than 5 seconds away.
I pitted lap 32 and Litchi kept going for another lap. Then another fight started at the distance. I think we were pretty even in the beginning but as tires started to go away he started to catch up.
I had a HUGE moment at Degners. Went a bit wide on the first, my left front wheel touched the grass and I still cant believe how I save it. Did Degner 2 a bit on the grass in style drifting. Lol. I knew you would see that Mole
Litchi catch up and we swap places a few times and he almost got away, but I managed to keep on his draft.
It all comes down to last lap. Actually to last sector. We almost parked our cars at Spoon to decide who would lead the way on the straight to 130 R. None of us wanted to be in the front due to the slipstream. We ended up going side by side with me in the inside, which got me into first into the 130 R and then I was extra defensive on the chicane an on the straight winning by only a bit.
Epic race.
Congrats on a strong performance Litchi. Good to see a car I prepared is good on another driver’s hands.
Better luck next time Andy. You should have been there with us in the end.

Uff (breathes)... This was really long.
