Lap 2. When you get a good slipstream. Don't do as I did and completely miss the braking zone slamming into the wall... It's a pretty idiotic thing to do and makes you go well down the field :(

I'd recommend falling off the track on the parade lap too, adds a certain something "special" to the event :banghead:

Also boshuter, I was wondering if you were happy with me whilst I was defending position against you early on. First time I've raced with these real clean rules, want to check I wasn't over aggressive.

Good race all!

Yeah I would definitely recommend not doing that 👍

I remember seeing you running of the track I was like oh boy haha.

I just want to thank everybody for doing so well during the pre-race stuff. Also thanks for staying patient with all of the server trouble. We will definitely work out the kinks before race one.

Speaking of working out the kinks, would you guys like to run another preseason race this Saturday? I know all of the GTA guys will be back so we will have a lot more people. Get a better feeling on how things will be :)

YES. But maybe on a different track, perhaps Monza or Daytona RC as they have potential for "unfortunate circumstances".

After making turn 1 I glanced in my rearview and saw a streak of yellow, good fight back!

Monza may be a good idea so you guys get use to how we regulate the chicanes

everyone pick between these 2 tracks for mock race this saturday

fuji f
monza

remember runoffs are off limits, keep 2 tires aligned with the rumbles. this goes for both tracks.

also we may have a few more finalists joining us for the series, we'll see how that goes.

and how would you guys like to try racing hards?

Monza is good.

I joined this series because you all ran on race mediums. :) Racing hards are not fun.
My vote is for mediums. :)

Oh yeah forgot to vote tyre compound. How about both? Prime and option tyres. Must use both throughout the race...

In any case I vote medium....

Two questions.
1. What is the about unlapping? Last night I had a GT500 trying to overtake me after I had lapped him. I didn't want to let him through as I didn't want to be held up. But I was running close on tyres so was holding him up abit. So what happens in that situation? Should the lapped driver sit behind patiently?
2. Bump drafting. Is it allowed? (amongst teammates as I know some will be uncomfortable with it)

Bumpdraft i say as long as its not reckless. And if u were in a 500 car and the other guy was in a 500 its his job to get around u i believe. But then again i got screwed over by lapped cars and 300s and it cost me the race so idk

Slide it is the 500s job to make the pass on the 300 cars. It is not the responsibility of the 300s to move over. Have to get use to that

I would have to say we race at Fuji and Either racing hard or mediums one or the other not the option once the race has started too much strategy to me.

I vote meds, hards last the same amount of laps since they loose traction and step out sideways all the time, you end up burning off the extra tire rubber anyways

If you bumpdraft, please keep it in your own series, that means a 500 car shouldn't be pushing a 300 car down the straights, and if you do bumpdraft somebody please make sure you back off enough prior to the corner so they have ample time to adjust they're braking point to the extra speed.

We'll stick with racing mediums as it looks like thats what the majority wants.

Also you didn't mention what track you wanted to run, as of now I have the tally as follows, this includes my vote for fuji.

Monza - 4

Fuji- 5

Don't consider 300 cars being just lap cars, they're racing for their own points themselves, sorry to hear it didn't work out for ya. Takes a lil more strategic driving on the track to get around the 300s and keep your pace going in the 500s.

I'd rather Monza cos it's got bottleneck potential so would be good to practice that.
And Zach, can we name our team 'Sonic Motor Racing'?

Since I dont have a teamate, are you guys gonna allocate one for me with the same car as me or do I run as an independent?
