Close enough (Impreza Rally Car '03), though it would've been logical if you thought twice, especially after the 3rd hint:

I was talking about dirt in the sense of the first GT (which didn't have a rally mode) and the early Imprezas more specifically the '95 rally car which was in the first GT were in the game and sorry about the lack of a hint (I had to go so I couldn't think of a good one for the time)
