Most assuredly not a Lysander. Norseman sounds right. I'll see if I can confirm that.

[edit] No, not a Norseman. Wing shape on the Norseman lacks that slight gull, and the gear is wrong. I also thought it mught be a DeHavilland Beaver, but the rudder shape is wrong. [/edit]

[edit 2] Something about the wing shape is saying "Stinson" to me. A Reliant ? [/edit]

The registry number is in plain view! Too easy. I confirm, Neon is correct. It's a Stinson V77 Reliant.

I didn't google that at all, even for pictures. I wouldn't even know how to look up the registry. I just looked at the wing and saw "Stinson", then started imagining a civil av Reliant with the wheel pants and some of the other fairings removed or reduced.

OK, time to find something good.

A question: How did you guys get all this knowledge about aircrafts. I'm impressed by how you talk about this and that plane like it was your sister.

I've been an airplane freak since I was a kid. I used to hang around a couple civil airports, and my father was really into R/C model airplanes. I built a lot of solid aircraft models, and I took flying lessons for a while, as well. Plus, I just retain this kind of crap for some reason.

Here's the next plane: shouldn't be too hard, but I like it.

Oh, ok neon-d.. I guess it's like car knowledge but in a smaller and more exclusive scale. Still I'm impressed of the knowledge here.. I'm sometimes browsing this thread with interest since I made my military service at an airport..

im 13, and my interest started with the 2nd world war, and moved onto modern fighters etc. But im still amateur comapred to these guys, no surprise. I've built airfix harrier GR5 and F-16 and on a hornet now.

Oh, I can't remember when my interest in aircraft started. I remember as a little kid, watching the B-52s fly over all the time. One of my first toys as a kid was a blue plastic Cessna 185 with floats. I went to airshows at Castle AFB as a kid as well, watched the Thunderbirds perform, got to sit in a Huey, and saw the Stealth Fighter for the first time. Oh, and watching Wings on Discovery Channel like it was the only show on didn't hurt either. :)

It looks like a Beechcraft, I'm not sure Beechcraft made aircraft that small.

I first got into aircraft about 3 or 4 years ago when I was doing a speech for grade 8. Ever since, I've been fascinated by military aircraft. In fact, once I graduate from University I hope to become a military pilot. I've already flown a plane, a WWII era Harvard Mk4 trainer at the National Warplane museum in Hamilton, Ontario. It was easily one of the greatest moments of my life, and it will stay with me forever.

I don't know much about civil aircraft though, which explains why I've never seen the plane Duke has posted

Ercoupe is correct - great job on that one. One of my favorite civil planes. Your go, Viper!

Without any research at all, I'll throw out Piper Comanche.

Looks right duke, but we will need to wait for Viper to confirm. When I was looking for Comanche pics I came across this

Got 16.5 million lying around the house? Why not buy a 737?

I was messing around in FS2004 today. I was taxing to the active runway and was holding short for a plane that was landing. Can you guess what plane it was? Yeah, it was a Mooney Bravo. :)

Dammit! I thought the horizontal stab looked like a Mooney but A) the rudder wasn't like the old Mooneys, and B) I didn't know that Mooney was still in business! In fact, I decided that the next plane I posted would be a Mooney.

Shoulda just shot in the dark and gotten it! Good one, Viper. Your go again.

Mooney did some sort of reorganizing recently, but hasn't had a new design in years. They just started installing glass panels in their aircraft.

Try this one:

FS2004 is why i thought it would be so easy

actually no, i was the Mooney Ovation (but they look the same)

Zimbabwe airforce badge gave it away. And i remember it being on some celebrity show where two celebs had a "dog-fight" in them.

Is it a Marchetti Sf-260 trainer ?

That thing is a fighter plane?! It looks like a cargo plane that can't fly.

Something European? Maybe a French fighter.
