It's the first GH that I actually know the bands of 90% of the songs. Except those bonus tracks, except for In Flames.
I meant the main song list. Sooo lame.
But Tenacious D is awesome. Wootness.
GHIII has over 70 tracks and no DLC has been revealed but is planned as weekely downloads the day the game ships.
EA is publishing Rock Band so don't be surprised if all the cheats and codes are $2 downloads.
Wasn't that planned with Guitar Hero 2 360? With that, only three content packs have been released so far, two of them being songs from GH1. I wouldn't give them much faith on that front.

Answering the prayers of many devotees of old-school British punk, Activision announced today the Sex Pistols classic "Anarchy in the U.K." will feature on its upcoming rock'n'roll-themed Guitar Hero III.
Past Guitar Hero games have largely relied on cover bands to produce their music, but Guitar Hero III uses many recordings from the original artists. After Activision was unable to find the original Sex Pistols master tapes from the 1970s -- no doubt left in a bar or used to light Sid Vicious's cigarette -- they did the only thing they could do: they got the band back together, in classic Blues Brothers style.
Three of the four original Pistols, Johnny "Rotten" Lyndon, Steve Jones, and Paul Cook, joined forces with Chris Thomas, the producer of Never Mind the Bollocks, to put together the re-recording, which was mixed on the same vintage analog desk as the original master. The trio are also set to play a series of sellout gigs in London in November, and also re-recorded "Pretty Vacant" for EA's recent release Skate.
The Sex Pistols join fellow stars Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, and The Rolling Stones in the Guitar Hero III lineup, which will be going head-to-head with EA's Rock Band when it's released on October 28.
The X-plorer works with both GH3 and Rock Band. Can I buy a version without a guitar controller and use the controller I have from Guitar Hero 2? I'd hate to fork out unnecessarily for a new controller.
No one knows. I have a gut feeling they're not going to support it, though.Does anyone know if the Rock Band controller will also work for GH3 (PS3 versions)?
I actually like Enter Sandman more. It's my favorite Metallica song. But I reckon it will get old fast while One should be a bit harder to master. Both have Metalica but One Vs. Enter the Sandman???
There is so many interesting sounding songs in GH3 that really put the Rock Band setlist to shame. Sure Rock Band has many WELL know songs we've all heard before seeming to cater to the MTV/mainstream generation and hit lists but 40 songs and few metal bands is a turn off. I did not have to google any of the Rockband setlist . It has no jems like GH2 had(Thunder horse, Trogdor,. But the $170 price isnt bad for what you get but I have no room for the drum set and you are paying more for the equipment than the game.
Both have Metalica but One Vs. Enter the Sandman??? And I'm dyng for some new Lamb of God.
Dragonforce
Slayer
Disturbed
Slipknot(I know I know but still)
White Zombie
Tenacious D
In Flames
And I'm the only person looking forward to Miss Murder....
The list owns, to prove it check this out if you don't mind knowing what the songs sound like.

I like both games' set list and I plan on playing both.
