I just got the "If they come to hear me beg" achievement! I am so close to getting the Recon/Tactical chest piece and I just had 5 assassination kills in a row
 
You have to be a warrent officer to get that if I remember right.

I just hit Sergent2 last night when I wrapped up the campaign. (finally)

So I have a ways to go on that yet.

Might try jumping into That Grunt firefight thing to make a little $$$.
 
Finished the campaign on solo legendary a few days ago as well ! Yeah last part of the pillar of autumn kept me clenched i'll tell you - the firefight was a right pain, never knew that those DMR's were behind the centre building where the guns/health were until i reached the part after the firefight when you have to make your way upto the big air support gun !

Also got if they came to hear me beg cheevo - only got a few left to get as im on 935gs - enjoying MP right now, a lot of people dont like invasion but i am enjoying it - got the skunked achievement last night also.

Cant seem to find anyone to play the score attack firefight mode with to get the 15k achievement - i thought it was public matchmaking - so far when i try i just end up in there alone and it gets difficult!

Last night I finally unlocked the "Birthday Party" death annimation! 200,000 credits but well worth it. Everytime I die its a celebration of "Yeahhhhhh" followed with an explosion of confetti. :)

Oh how badly I want that :D!

I have gotten into a proper clan in the last week, not just some kiddies clan but a proper clan with the best of the best (not just performance wise but maturity wise). I saw them in a game and looked into it, the whole process is so well done that you can't possibly get an idiot in the clan.

You have a thing agains't Spartans? lol!
 
It just looks so awesome. :) The only problem with the elite is that I only get to use it if everyone votes for the Elites in the matchmaking.

Played a few multplayer games last night and unlocked an achievement for getting to rank Captain. I had no idea what the achievement was even for. Since rank doesnt mean anything, I never payed attention to it. Also got to show off my "Birthday Party" death annimation quite a bit last night. :)

I had one of THE most fun matches last night in BTB. After several games of Swat, the majority finally voted for Elite Slayer on Hemmorage. It was the first time I played that and holy crap so much fun. 4 ghosts per side, 1 wraith per side, and 1 Revenant per side. Constant insane action the entire time. Now THAT is what BTB is supposed to be. Not swat, not snipers, just pure chaotic fun. :)

I just had some teenagers called my team a bunch of hackers because one of my party member's used armor lock against the sword.
 
Your right bout the Elites. From what I have available, I like the Ranger getup.

There is just something about the enclosed head that makes it seem more creepy.

Except for the fact that the jaws sometimes poke out of the helmet. That kind of takes away from it.

Last night I decided to go for one of the daily challenges to help increase my rank and heres what happened....


Was playing Firefight Matchmaking 4 of us playing - a guy found the rocket launcher and was getting greedy for kills and he managed to kill me in the first minute while i was melee'ing some grunts (idiot) - anyway i didnt boot him.

About a minute later i notice he betrayed someone else same scenario, he also did not boot him.......

Around a minute left to go, theres a wraith pounding everyone with the big blue ball of death so off i go running towards it and i jump on it and plant a grenade to kill it, the idiot runs in just as i had planted it jumps on top of it and when it blows up it kills him and its a betrayal.

Not even a second later i'm booted.

Sent the guy a nice message about it and all i got back was 'soz'.

This whole betrayal carry on is ruining this game for me.
 
Yup its quite frustrating and Bungie will be making changes with this months update. I believe the update is somewhere around the middle of the month. The update will also be removing Swat from the playlists and it will have its own playlist.

I have found myself being much more carefull during matches now. Especially Rocket Firefight. Gotta be very careful not to betray team mates. Or I just play with friends.

Do you know if they are changing the betrayal booting procedure? or what exactly they are changing minus SWAT?
 
Somewhere on Bungie.net it shows all the updates but now I cant find it. I know Swat gets its very own playlist tomorrow Tuesday the 5th. I am also pretty sure they are making some tweaks to the betrayal booting.

Last week I saved up 200,000 cr and bought the "birthday party" armor effect. It was well worth the purchase and has provided an endless supply of laughs. Last night I was assassinated and right after the birthday party activated. It was hilarious. I believe it's even more frustrating when CoD fans spam the playlist and always choose SWAT. I've been playing Halo since it's come, and having to always play SWAT is seriously an annoyance. I think that eventually many of these will wear it out, but I'm really happy Bungie is changing it.
 
The Halo series....awsome stuff. If there was one Xbox exclusive I would choose to be released on PS3, this is it. Im a massive FPS fan.

Yeah, by brother and I ran into one of these turds a couple nights ago. Right out of the gate thisturd starts attacking my brother like we are in a game of slayer. Shoots at him till his shields pop . . . then stops.

Does it a second time and ticked off my brother enough where he assissinated him . . . and got booted.

Then he starts doing that to me. I just turned and faced him . . .and did nothing. I run of to another location . . . he follows and starts shooting at me again. I just turn and stair at him again. Meanwhile player 4 (who shares the same 4 letter tag) is off killing things freely.

He does this a third time to me, so I just keep on doing my thing, killing grunts and such, and a stray grenade happens to go off near me as he is shooting me. I die, but get the option to boot him now.

And I do with no remorse.

What I think people are doing is irritating other players untill they betray them, so they can boot them out of the game. Less Spartans playing makes for more points for the other players. I just happen to realize what was going on, and figured out how to turn it against them.
 
The playlist updates already started today.
-Swat has its own playlist now.
-Tank is removed from Hemorrage map
-Betrayal booting is more generous
-15,000 players get credits reset for trying to glitch or cheat their points

* Evade has replaced Dropshield for gametypes which create concentrated gameplay in specific areas (Crazy King, Territories, Oddball)
* All Classic gametypes should now include Sprint as default equipment

King of the Hill
* Teams are now always able to correctly score points
* Players standing in the hill no longer receive extra points upon returning from a host migration

Rocket Race
* Players now attached to vehicles after being on foot for 10 seconds
* Flipped vehicles will be detected to prevent players from attaching to a non-upright vehicle
* Added functionality for tracking and reporting rotations
* Fountain of Mongeese should no longer be possible (don't ask)
* Players are no longer able to jack another teams Mongoose
* Players are no longer forced into a specific role of driver or gunner
* All players start with a Rocket Launcher
* Players move at 50% speed, do significantly reduced damage and are marked with a nav icon

Juggernaut
* The Juggernaut no longer sees other players as allies upon returning from a host migration

Territories
* All teams now have separate capture timers for each territory
* Locked territories will no longer prevent players from using equipment
* The flag in the territory is now attached if the territory is a flag stand object
* Added a HUD_Widget to display contested status to players inside a territory
* The progress bar for a territory will now show as full when that territory is being contested (capture progress is saved and will appear again once the territory is no longer contested)
* Random flag clothes will no longer disappear after a round transition

Oddball
* Bombs in Hot Potato now properly report carry time
* Multiple hot potato bombs will no longer spawn in the same location
* The carry time reported stat will now always be correct after a host migration has occurred
* Players carrying the oddball during a host migration will no longer receive extra points

Stockpile
* All stockpile flags are now attached to their spawn location if it is a flag stand

Invasion
* The game score is now set per frame tick based off of the current phase
* A failsafe game end timer has been added to catch any possible bad cases of Invasion games not ending properly

Invasion: Boneyard
* The core will now reset whenever it is thrown through a shield door into a spawning location in Phase 3

Invasion (Assault) and Assault
* Added sudden death to Invasion (Assault) and Assault gametypes

Race
* Players who die before the first checkpoint will no longer spawn in a random location on the map

And what gametype/level would you suggest?
 
I have no idea, I just play and whatever I get, I get. As you finish commedations you get points same with completing daily and weekly challenges. So pretty much anything you do will reward you with points. Seems like the campaign gives you the least amount considering the amount of time. Multiplayer gives quite a bit and so does firefight.

The only problem I am having is lag in Firefight Matchmaking.

I noticed that too about the betrayal. I go booted instantly last night after an accidental betrayal. I dont think that goes into effect until the 15th. I still cant believe people that boot during rocket firefight. I do know some people do it on purpose so they can kick you and then they get more points for the enemies. Thats just sad.
 
I didn't have any problems last night. I must have tagged 3 or 4 people with either a rocket or sniper rifle during firefight and didn't get booted.

I also got killed a few times and the option only popped up once. I just let it go. things happen.

I'm about half way to WO2! which means I'm about half way to becoming a Captin.
 
Well, I borrowed this from my friend and I love it. Although I am pretty pissed that bungie makes you buy the Noble map pack to play matchmaking. I think it's pretty lame how you have to purchase a game (60 bucks) pay your live sub (10 a month) and then, buy extra maps (another 10 bucks, plus valuable harddrive space since I have a 4 gig model).
 
Anyone hate Kat's death in Halo Reach? I mean, all the others die in blazes of glory, but Kat...she gets killed by a random Covenant sniper round to the back of the head...through her armor...that had withstood several of those shots before hand...I mean, I know she was a chick, but she was also a Spartan. Let's have her die in a blaze of glory, please.
 
Yeah, it kind of sucked. Just one of those moments where she let her guard down and got popped. Oh well.
