I actually visited my local post office since sometimes they might be left there. Nothing. I shot an email to redlinegoods, waiting for reply...

Parts still didn't arrive yet. They replied and said if I didn't get it within a month of my order date they would send me another order, free of charge and this time with tracking info. Good news but damn I hate waiting for car parts...

Other news, I have new-found respect for rat rods. Happen to find myself next to one and we both caught a red light. It was sick; loud with a big ass twin screw supercharger and tires were at least 2 feet wide. I knew I shouldn't but what the hell. Gave him a thumbs up and light turns green. I got a perfect launch and tires chirped when I hit second. We were pretty even but then I don't know if he was playing with me or found traction but he blew by me like I was standing still. It was awesome :D

Pics after he wiped the floor with me:

Finally interior parts arrived, be it 2 weeks late. Were they worth it? You tell me:

I also finally ordered a clutch. Monster Stage 3 with a Billet lightweight flywheel all rated at 700hp/tq AT THE WHEELS. Finally I'll be able to really go all out across multiple gears :D

Nearly July and just now I realized my AC has gone kaput. Tells you something about what the weather's like here in Seattle

Hopefully a recharge will fix it.

Nice Trans Am buddy, well-kept and maintained like a lot of users on here haha. Im now just getting around to educating myself on everyone’s cars around the forum. I want a muscle car some day they seem like a lot of fun in their own style but loving my imports for now.

Great looking Trans Am though! Update your first post on my end all the images are broken?

You have T-tops you don't need AC. :sly:

Normally I'd agree with you, but coming home from work in rush hour traffic after your car has been roasting in the sun all day... T-tops don't do much at 15mph

Yep lots of good owners on here. Hate to see good cars trashed by uneducated car owners...

Yea my bird is pretty fun, instant torque never gets old. Parking is probably the biggest downside, huge doors force my to park away from everyone else and a semi truck has a tighter turning radius. I'm actually starting to look for other possible daily drivers since this will eventually be my project car. Possible options on my list are WRX wagons ;), EM1's, B16 Del Sol's, E36 M3's pretty much anything that is somewhat economical and fun.

Weird, but I guess it's time to update the pics anyway, she looks much different now than she did a year ago when I got her :D

Perfect time to get a tan. :D

Out of all the wide variety of cars I have owned in the last 20+ years, muscle cars are BY FAR the easiest to work on and easiest to maintain. Especially if you get one with as little rust as possible. Even then, the drivetrain is still insanely easy to maintain, and very reliable. Parts are also cheap too.

People don't seem to understand that on this website...

Clutch supposed to arrive on the 2nd, so I'll probably start working on it this weekend dropping the trans, installing the master cyl, flushing the fluids. Break in is going to be the hardest part by far, I have to drive 500 miles without going over 3000 RPM, quite a challenging task for me

Most of them are just keyboard warriors...

I've owned them also, and yes the maintenance is inexpensive. Which almost makes up for their gas milage. A car that gets under 25 mpg had better be inexpensive to maintain.

Nothing a 6 speed transmission cant fix. (About a $2,000 upgrade) These older cars with a 6 speed can easily pull upward of 25-30mpg highway. Which is about the same gas mileage as my 04 WRX. In fact my 96 Firebird Formula with a V8 (Very similar to @Harry6784 trans AM) did actually get 30 mpg highway with a K & N air filter and exhaust upgrade. :D

Came home from work late so all I did was jack the car up and drain tranny fluid. Tommorow I hope to take the console/shifter out and hopefully swap in the new clutch master cylinder.

This summer's been very mild so far. It hasn't even hit 80 yet.

Might as well get it recharged before it really gets hot though.

Finally finished my clutch job! Had a busy week so started on Thursday evening where I removed the old clutch master cylinder and installing the new one. Friday and Saturday were clutch removal and install days and today was the bleed/change fluids/cleanup day. I know @Slash would probably have a heart attack when he finds out that it took me 4 days to do a clutch install but this was my first time and I work reallllly slow making sure everything is perfectly torqued and aligned. Pics of my fun weekend.

Before I got started, still trying to convince myself that this is a good idea

Can tell you how good it felt when I first started her up, put it in 1st and slowly rolled out of the garage with no squeals, clunks or flywheels shooting out of the transmission. Still in the break in process but it gains and loss revs much faster with the lightweight flywheel and new clutch grabs HARD. Almost no slippage at all, like an on-off switch. New MC makes shifting easy, clutch travel is about half what the old one was. Can't wait to go all out with my new setup :D

Nice Man I got One 2

A T/A? Nice got pics?

Sounds like a good time. 4 days is a hella long time though

Yea... well Thursday I started working at 8:00PM so I guess it was more like 3.2 days

But I did most of this myself so I would get under the car, realized I needed a 15mm socket which was conveniently out of reach, get back out, go under again do 2 bolts realize I need an extension also out of reach, get out....

Congrats on getting the beast back alive. Always nice getting in new goodies. Especially a new clutch and lightweight flywheel. I really like the look of that new clutch.

The way you describe your new clutch is exactly how my 6 speed Centerforce dual friction clutch works in my 69 Camaro. Its basically on / off.

The great news is that it is so heavy duty it has lasted for 10 years!!! So yours should also last a very long time.

The car was mostly stock too, just exhaust, slicks, cam change and ignition. The R8 was a V10 FSI.

Couldn't tell you trap speeds off the top of my head but ETs were mid 7s for the T/A and high 8s for the R8. The R8 was also beaten by a stock LS2 C6 earlier.
