Yea they're stupidly overpriced. Currently looking for a way to secure my cell phone to my car

On another note, I found out where the import crowd likes to park at my school, thought I'd try to blend in :sly:

You like being inconspicuous, don't you?

Looks like I may be getting new tires and rims sooner than I thought. Did more research on what tires I currently have only to find out they were manufactured in 2005.

A bit of dry rot around the edges:

Car only had 69k miles when I bought it so it makes sense as to why the tires are old yet have hardly any tread wear. But Getting a new set of rubber + rims would put me at least $1000 in the hole. Looks like I won't be doing the clutch anytime soon

I don't think those are bad enough to worry about yet. Get the clutch fixed first.

My last set of tires were 6 years old and had 15k miles on them. Were you going to sell the stock rims to make the budget bigger or keep them for the future?

I hope so. Last thing I want is a blowout going 100 on the highway (In Mexico of course ;)). As for the clutch, nothing is really wrong with it, I need a new master cylinder and you have to drop the tranny to install it. Might as well upgrade the clutch while I'm there.

I wanna get a set of 315 Nitto NT01's in the back and 275's on the front. That alone will cost $800-$900. Throw in a new set of rims and I'm at $1300+ easy. I may actually want to keep these old rims because the NT01's are a phenomenal summer tire, but in the rain it makes the car practically undriveable. Would be nice to have 2 sets of tires, one for summer, one for winter.

If it makes you feel any safer I had the same bfg's in 16 inch in my car that looked much worse and ran them very hard very often, like weekly, oh I pushed my winter tires pretty hard too. :sly:

Arghrarahgrhaah, so many possible mods, so little money

As for the GoPro, I did order another action cam that should be as good if not better (Polaroid XS100) for over half off. Videos coming soon :D

I hereby condemn you for not having a video of every single time you've done that.
I have a few videos and pictures of doing this. In fact they have been posted somewhere on this GTP site. But those were posted a long time ago when I first got to this site. I would probably have to upload them to youtube. I just don't want to hijack this thread.

3rd gear burnout in my 69 Camaro for well over 5 straight minutes until both tires popped. This was when I swapped from 14" wheels to 18" wheels 10 years ago. Fire department actually arrived after I was done making the video because there was so much smoke.

I also have a video of doing this same thing in my 1996 Firebird formula with the V8 and 6 speed. But in that car I did donuts in 3rd gear for over 5 minutes. :D

Hopefully this will inspire Harry to get some really good video of shredding his tires.

That video makes me miss my car so much. Sounds pretty good but I am sure its much louder in person. You will have to experiment with the placement of the camera to get the audio dialed in. It almost sounds like the wind coming in the windows was cutting out the audio. Could also be the camera. Might want to try a ride with the windows up and see how it sounds. Did you buy the camera local or online? If you are not happy with the camera, most places allow you to return electronics within 15-30 days for a full refund. This would give you time to experiment.

Got it from Amazon, I like the quality but wind noise is always something you gotta fight. There are a few tricks though that I want to try.

Just finished taking 2 big midterms today. Needed to relax, so I came home and cleaned my engine bay

Have to say I have a new appreciation for Optima batteries. Blasted my 800W stereo LOUD for over 5 hours and it took it fine :D

Also ordered a new shift knob along with other interior goodies, will post pics when they arrive.

Something like this:

But in a different color scheme. At this point anything will be an upgrade from the stock donkey dick shifter...

Street Legal Performance. They offer aftermarket performance parts for various cars and worked with GM in releasing Anniversary editions of the 4th gen Camaro SS.

What I have is just a simple $80 airbox lid good for about 7-8whp. One of the first mods I did :D
