i hate how all the good shots are the ones that have been shot to death, i mean they're all starting to look the same (zoom blurred shots and what not). i mean it's good, just too redundant if you all know what i mean. just my observation.

Agree, I state in almost every competition that the pictures are all the same. The Charger picture, though, was actually pretty good.
Besides, the interest seems to be focused in Photoshop right now. A good picture without effects will likely lose against a bad picture with tons of effects.
Same opinion here 👍
and here.
BTW, this is not aimed at you Bram, just incase you got the wrong idea! There have been lots of photos appearing lately from plenty of different members that are, at a basic level, very poor photographs. Poor lighting, poor composition etc. but the Photoshop work looks so fancy that people go "oooh, shiny" and vote for it anyway.
the natural stance for an orange charger
I don't know how I missed that shot either! That is fabulous! Simple, yet effective and powerful. I agree that the ground should be in better focus...but still...👍Can't believe I missed this shot Would have been even better if the ground were in focus as it would have been in real life, but it still looks stunning.
Might have to rethink my entry now...
I think the noise gives it a very rough (ruf) feel to it. It has a lot of attitude imo. You'll be disappointed, it hasn't been cleaned. I had 40 minutes to do it and I'm on my phone again, away from a computer.
Everyone is blowing this out of proportions. It's not the blur that gives you the wins, it's the image in its whole and the time you spend on it. I spent a whole day on my entry, so you cannot expect me to smile when you go "That's the same as you did yesterday as you did today as you did last week as you will do tomorrow"... Seriously, if you don't want me to take it into Photoshop, what the heck do you want me do to with it? Members like Tangled Web do some crazy and lovely stuff to colours and tones in an image, I can't see how someone can criticize for producing something like that. Also, as long as you're editing according to your own style, where's the problem? I honestly can't see the fun in editing in a way you do not like, I don't think the point of this GTP section is during something against your will...
Week 58 had a heavy discussion, now week 59 is having some members heavily criticizing others for using their own style, if week 60 is going to be the same, I can't be bothered looking forward putting my time in such an awesome competition (or this it should be) if everyone's merely posting to criticize...

Bram, nobody is criticising your work. If anything, we're criticising the people who continue to only vote for heavily blurred images with fancy effects!
Your photos don't fall into the category we're talking about as they are always well composed, well lit, and well matched to the theme too. Even without any blurs or special effects they would be brilliant photos. A lot of the complaints are coming from members who are getting bored of seeing mediocre shots taken without any thought just to add an effect to.
Look at it this way; if you could strip down a photo of all of the effects, how would it look? Pretty much all of yours would still be amazing photos. This is not the type of thing people are complaining about. If anything, my old photos fell into this problem category which is why lately I've tried to change my style a bit.
That is the same process I go through too man.As for my stock photos, I don't see what there's so amazing to be found at too dark images, flat un-textured road surfaces, and edgy cars I always try to imagine what I want the shot to be, and I snap it in GT4 like I had it in my head. Sometimes it works perfectly, but most of the time I try to look how it will turn out when I'm looking at it. When I was looking at the RUF at that angle in GT4, I thought "That's it!" and it turned out exactly like I pictured it
There is only so much you can do with this game...
almost done with my shot...
Just give him first place already, that is amazing. Now can someone help me pick my jaw up off the floor?

Awesome shot Skyline and 80Y 👍
Skyline's entry seems to be the Blackbird from Wangan Midnight

Adrian, I perhaps should've further explained that. I do think it is limiting. Not photomode. But the game itself and its crappy textures. If people don't know the ins and outs of photomode, it limits them to rely on ps as a crutch and try to pull of things they can't. (Though I do admire the attempts)not really. it sucks you say that coz i'm talking about the angles and how most shots are starting to look the same. it's like the compositions are being composed to be able to apply a zoom blur or something like that.
